Sinya Mediterranean Grill

On a cold, rainy Chicago day, everyone needs a neighborhood spot like Sinya!While perusing Doordash, Sinya quickly caught our eyes as a healthy option with great reviews. We decided on the Shawarma entree, Mediterranean Salad with Shawarma Chicken, and Baba Ghanoush. Everything arrived warm and well-packaged. We were so impressed by the quality and freshness of the dishes and ingredients! The Baba Ganoush was extremely flavorful with a full-bodied texture and satisfying eggplant bits. Both of the meats were exceptionally seasoned and tender, with very generous portions. I appreciated the variety of fresh produce in the salad, and the dressing tasted very homemade. I thought the pita was slightly bland with a "store-bought" flavor, but this is a very minor critique. It was still warm and a great medium for the spreads.Sinya surpassed expectations even with their great reviews- can't wait to try more of their menu!

I wouldn't return, but it wasn't bad.+- Offered Impossible kebabs, so a nice option to have that available for vegans- Good salad- Clean bathroom-- Cashier a bit rude- Wait time was long--needs more staffing at peak hours. Needed to check on our order before getting it.- There was a ton of filler in the plate--lots of rice and pita. Would have been more balanced to offer more salad and include sauce. Also felt stingy to put two kebabs and charge over $20.- Expensive for amount of food- Food tasted OK--not crazy about kebab or shawarma - Lamb kebab listed on menu was unavailable

Finally a good gyro plate. Let me get into it! The food at Sinya is one of the best I have tried since moving to Illinois! The quality of the food top notch. And then you smell the gyro being served it's just makes your mouth water. The service was excellent. The woman at the register walked my friend and I through the menu and even gave us history or the owner and other restaurants that he owns. The atmosphere or ambiance like call it, very pleasant. Overall, I will say that sinya has one of the best Gyro plates I have ever had. Give Sinya a try!

The food is quite good. Not much of an atmosphere ( bare bones fast food vibe ) but 5 stars for the food . My chicken schwarma salad was outstanding. My dining partner enjoyed her chicken kebobs as well. Pricing is fair. Great neighborhood gem- would recommend.

Wow. This food is fantastic. The falafel is the best I've had in Chicago. The hummus is excellent. It's worth going for just those things ... but wait, there's more! Everything we have eaten there has been excellent. We did catering over the holiday when we had a bunch of family in town - the portions were quite generous and fed us all twice - without compromising on the quality at all. Their dine in space is rather small, we have only taken to go instead of eating there. It was clean and bright though and would be good to eat a quick sandwich but not space enough for a group.

The rave reviews are absolutely true. This is hands down the best Mediterranean food I've had in Chicago. For just a tad over $30 my family of 3 ate well & we're all satisfied. Nothing out of bounds as far as the menu or our choices. I opted for a chicken shawarma plate & my wife opted for the falafel plate. The chicken had a perfect texture. Slight char on the outside & juicy interior. The vinaigrette atop the salad was delicious. The hummus had a sweet element that made it stand out. Dinner ended with another "best" version which was the bakalava Absolutely everything we tasted was delicious. I was informed there's an impending location coming to river north which will make my commute shorter.

I really like this place and I had tried take out but taste even better at the restaurant. The food is good and high quality and one of the next Mediterranean restaurants we had in Chicago. The atmosphere is chIlll and the services are great from the vasier, servers, and cook. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Happened upon this casual service Mediterranean restaurant in Roscoe Village and came in for a combo. It has all the favorites. Sinya may be kind of expensive, but you get a lot. A lot of people get takeout, and if you eat in you may be taking a lot to go because the portions are big. There's many vegetarian friendly items including falafel, grape leaves, and more. Came at lunch and we ordered at the counter. It's about $12.95 for the cheapest combos, but these are still worth it. The large portions make these a good value. Many plant based items to get. The Falafel Plate has 6 pieces, which is impressive. Many other places only put in a few. This also comes with hummus and tahini for dipping, pita triangles, and there's rice and salad. Get the Vegetarian Plate for even more food. This also has baba ghannouch and grape leaves. Full of flavor and it's all fresh. It's not like many places that have the hummus in a can and it gets scooped out. There's plenty for meat eaters and vegetarians.

I ordered shawarma from this place for home delivery for the first time, and it's delicious. Thank you.

Phenomenal chicken shawarma and chicken kabob plates. Great service as well - they gave us a wide variety of sauces and recommendations.
