Amazing lil taco shack! I had the Taco Combo with Carne Asada and Chicken and they were spectacular!

My husband sent me on a trip to get takeout from some random food truck outside a bar that he had discovered. My level of skepticism was high, but being the trouper I am, I made it happen. Boy, were we in for a treat! I ordered the Carne Asada Waffle Fries and the Taco Trio (2 chicken + 1 pork). Both were exploding with flavor and great choices. I favored the waffle fries, every bite was crisp and covered in toppings. I went at around 7:30 on a Saturday and it was not busy yet, which was perfect. I was originally worried about parking, but still plenty of spots. This was a happy find!

awesome food and friendly service. i love their cubano and cheesesteak! they get orders out to customers very quickly, and get new menu items pretty regularly.

awesome scratch late night food spot! I play softball at Papago park and I make sure to stop by for the cubano or carne asada waffle fries on my way home... usually end up eating half in my car lol

I have been coming here for over a year and I'm just now getting around to posting a review. This place is awesome and I cannot stress that word enough! I usually get the vegetarian tacos and they are exceptional. The ingredients and the spices are just perfect. The tortillas are made by their grandmother I believe and they are always fresh. They have a lot of other things on the menu and I did try the chicken tacos once and they were also very very good. On top of the great food the two guys who run it are really nice guys and people you root for to be successful. Another added bonus is you can enjoy your tacos inside wandering toward us which is a great local bar that serves a ton of craft beer and other adult beverages.

Absolutely loved my late night meal from this spot. Was out with a friend meet some new friends and decided we needed some food but also another pint. Headed to wondering tortoise remembering that there was a food truck outside every time I had passed by prior. Glad we went as this place is now a "permanent" spot holder to the already great space. A unique take on a cubano sandwich which had pulled pork with pickles melted cheese and a toasty roll perfectly crafted with one of the best hot sauces I've had. All the flavors truly meshed well. Rarely do you think to go to a bar that has no food hungry but with sink or swim always outside the tortoise next time be sure to give them a try it's worth it as these guys are ready to make your new favorite cubano sandwich and even better with every purchase over $10 the tortoise gives you any draft pint for only $5.

If I could rate this place 10 starts I totally would, fantastic experience. Can't believe I had been sleeping on this food truck, I always pass by and see it parked but never actually stopped to try out their food. Today was my lucky day as I was starving and couldn't decide what to eat drove past Sink or Swim twice so I decided to check them out. I ordered the chicken tacos, waffle carne asada fries and Brussel sprouts. All items were absolutely delicious. Tacos come with some pretty good toppings, loved their corn tortillas I believe they are hand made if I'm not mistaking and the pickled onions are just *chefs kiss* soooo good!!! My Brussels were perfectly cooked and the flavors were just right. My nephew ordered the carne asada waffle fries, he was impressed how good they were, I had to steal a bite and indeed those are some phenomenal carne asada fries the meat was so tender and the sauces served with the fries are so unique and flavorful. My favorite thing was the chicken taco I even got some to-go for my mom to try. I will definitely be back to taste more items on the menu, they gained a new customer today. Don't hesitate to stop by for a quick bite if you're in the area you won't regret it! P.s we ate in the car so the pics I shared don't do justice everything looked so much better in person :D

Great little taco stand, and a few other little things, built out of a metal container. It's in the parking lot of the wandering tortoise. Great place to get a beer and tacos. Highly recommend it. Come after a long day at work and you'll be pleasantly happy.

Top contender for best street food in Phoenix. You must go and try it out yourself! Definitely the best Cubano I've had yet.

Sink or Swim is one of the best street taco stands in town. The other stuff they do is awesome as well, but I love the carne asada tacos. While today is Saturday, I still need my taco fix! Tuesdays the 3-taco plate is $10, and you get a discount on your first beer at Wandering Tortoise!The asada tacos are done vampiro style, corn tortilla crunchy with cheese. Pickled red onion rocks, and the crema they use is da bomb. The asada is tender, juicy, and flavorful.Sometimes I get the carne asada waffle fries, which are amazing as well. The elote is excellent.They're closed Sunday and Monday - guys gotta rest sometime!They're in a former shipping container that permanently sits in the WT parking lot. The guys are friendly and accommodating.When you have your street taco and craft beer need to be fixed, this is a great place to do it!
