Really good prices for Asian products! Like big sriracha bottles for $3.99! Thai basil, a whole bag stuff with fresh basil for less than $3! Boba toppings and boba powder at wholesale prices. It was really good. But really hard to find things and the parking lot is horrific. The lines were also long and only 2 checkers. They have a good variety of liquor, like Japanese whiskey and good whiskey and cognac section! Prices were not bad either. I really wish I live closer. All the hot pot veggies are super cheap here.

Another Asian groceries adventure, I also go to this all the time, most likely not for the veggies nor the seafood, because neither one of them would be good here, since the place is rather small, they don't stock much on vegetables, what you see is what you get, they don't have an irrigation system to keep the fresh produce looking green or moist, instead storing them inside smaller cooler fridges, not ideal, but maybe the reason why they didn't have a seafood station either, it's too small; the bigger market will have at least 3 people from the back cleaning, cutting, weighing the fishes or whatever, not here, seafood will be 100% frozen.Enough about the disadvantages, people come here for another reason, fresh chicken, either caged or roaming freely, because as you headed near the right end, you can find a very distinctive smell, especially the kind from chicken farm, yep the meat was butcher right behind there as they raised chicken in the back, literally the entire farm, but that's how they get the fresh meat, not the kind you get from Costco, which is meaty juicy yet too overpowering, here you will enjoy the tough chewy kind which a lot of Vietnamese people would prefer, they also sell everything other parts of the chicken, such as blood, hearts, gizzards, feet, intestines, etc. People only go here for this.Consider the main reason to get here, besides that don't come on a busy weekend, there's parking lot is tiny as well, no one getting in or out fast enough, you'll be stuck here forever finding parkings creating traffics, not during Chinese new year either, do not shop here unless you live with walking distance.I come here long before they develop a credit card system, they used to only take debits or cash, now they upgraded to even EBT, they now also have a large section of liquor, small family business yet they've been surviving thru decades.

The good:This is the best place for the cheapest price liquor. I've been coming here for the longest time to buy good quality liquor at wholesale price. They are a wholesale market that has produce, alcohol, and free-range chicken. Everything in here is at a great price. You can get literally everything Vietnamese that you might need here. I come here for all my ingredients from spices to sauce and produce. I am not a fan of their meat but their poultry is the best in San Diego. There chickens are free range and come locally from Chino California. Parking can be rough here so be prepared to park on the streets. But it's totally worth it to drive down here for the liquor and the free range chicken

So let's talk about the Covid-19 situation first. For a relatively small market, Sin Lee has installed precautions that go above and beyond. You'll find sanitizer and a door monitor when you enter the building. The market has roped off checkout aisles in order to separate customers shopping on either side from customers leaving the supermarket. This works out really well to provide safe distancing. At the checkout registers, you'll be asked to social distance and wait for the employee to sanitize the checkout belt. Currently, the only forms of payment accepted are cash or debit card. You may bring your own bags into the store. There are lot of different items in the store which I haven't seen at some of the bigger supermarkets. For instance, one of those is pomegranate syrup, priced at less than $10. I'm looking forward to using this for some of my sparkling waters. And in any case, they're probably at least eight different flavors to choose from. I also found French butters, and a wide variety of rice noodles both fresh and dried. What struck me the most during my shopping experience was the friendliness of both the customers and the employees. The butcher was really polite about repackaging my meat items. Two different customers assisted me when I needed to find items within the store. The checkout person came off as just really, really sweet. There's a small parking lot. The store is situated on a corner of El Cajon Boulevard so it's relatively easy to find and has huge signage.I think the prices are reasonable. I certainly wish that this market was a little bit bigger and closer to where I live. And finally, thank you to the person at Pho Van restaurant who told me about Sin Lee Supermarket.

There is this one cashier---she has an bit of a attitude to her. I don't know what her problem is, but she is definitely not nice. She also flirts with a lot of the male customers that come in...I think her name is Tram or something like that....

I don't understand why Google is taking too long to evaluate my Google review, so I am going to post what I've written here.To whom it may concern,I'm writing to express my disappointment about being possibly bullied by one of Sin Lee's cashiers yesterday. I reported a different incident about another cashier calling me a homosexual last time. I feel as if my concerns are not being taken seriously. I am a cisgendered heterosexual, but one of your cashiers called me "miss." I understand that mistakes happen, but it's important to address people by their preferred pronouns. Misgendering individuals can be hurtful and disrespectful. Also, I am troubled by the toxic environment that seems to exist in your store. I've been verbally attacked by multiple customers and employees while simply minding my own business. I'm not from around City Heights, but I'm getting the impression that toxic culture is the norm. People have been aggressively verbally attacking me at many of the businesses that I've been to in City Heights. I get called names like chet (a derogatory word for Chinese), bong (homosexual), co (miss), etc. Therefore, I would like to request that you retrain your employees on proper pronoun usage. Decorum like addressing people according to the proper protocol and other etiquette should be enforced at Sin Lee Market to create a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers. Manners, politeness, and kindness are essential to improving society. I hope Sin Lee's customer service improves to enhance the customer's shopping experience.David
