Simply Soups, Salads & Sandwiches

Friendly service. They stay busy so it's best to call your order in. Food portions are good and sandwiches are homey. No public restrooms. A few tables on the inside just in case you'd like to sit and eat. As soon as you walk in, you'll smell the sandwich aromas.

So I defy you to figure out what soups "Simply Soups" serves! I can tell you it's not New England or Manhattan Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque, French Onion or even the most basic Chicken Noodle Soup!!!!! I was SOOOOO VERY DISAPPOINTED to be told: "We don't carry any of those fancy soups, but we'll have Tomato Bisque Soup tomorrow." I drove here for SOUP! All they had was basic tomato at 6PM! Bland, BLAND, bland!!!! I didn't even try a sandwich because with a name like "Simply Soups ..." I excepted to quench my appetite for SOUP!

The Philly boss cheesesteak was good as well as chicken gumbo. Love the location, it gives balance to the fast food around them.

Enjoyed this quick lunch from a local spot. They have a lunch combo for $8. You can select two items between soup, salad and half of a sandwich. It's honestly perfect for a very indecisive eater like me. You MUST try their version of an Arnold Palmer. They have a pineapple lemonade and when mixed with their sweet tea, it's a real treat. It's giving koolaid and I need that blast from the past. Overall, definitely stop by for a quick and affordable bite to eat. I love supporting things in the neighborhood.

Love coming to this spot for sandwiches and wraps. They have the best corned beef sandwich. Glad they include jalapeño peppers as I'm a big fan of spice. I think the marble rye bread is a nice touch too. I also ordered the salmon caesar wrap to eat the next day. It was good to eat. I had both parts throughout the day and it kept me full. Both items make for a nice lunch that comes with a side of Lays chips. I'm interested in trying out more of the menu. Customer service was good as well. I made my order over the phone and although they were busy and the employee had to place me on hold a few times she was apologetic and took my order just fine. It was ready to be picked up in the timely manner it was said to be.

Another wonderful black owned business to support! This is in Bronzeville, which is a good 45 minutes from our house, but I'm so happy we found it. We placed an order for two sandwiches and timed them to be ready by the time we got there. Due to the pandemic they don't have dine in, but they did have several people going in to order and waiting for their orders. They have a nice selection of sandwiches, wraps, salads and soups. (Four different soups every day.) It was hard to decide! I got the Jerk salmon pita and my daughter got the Grilled salmon panini. Both came with chips and a pickle, and were very good! I really wished we lived closer!! Next time we come I want to try their make your own salad. I can't wait.

A friend brought me here and I was pleasantly surprised at the menu. It's not often that there is healthy quick options available in this neighborhood so much appreciated! My sandwich was delicious I would definitely try something else the next time. I had a Caprese Panini. It did take quite a while for my second order, they were getting pretty busy and I don't think the soups were ready. Workers were a bit scattered but they were all friendly. I would go back! Definitely worth a try.

I love supporting local businesses in my neighborhood. Simply soups, salads, and sandwiches has an unique menu that caught my eye. I grabbed a salmon panini with marconi salad on the side. The panini comes with salmon, spinach, chipotle sauce, wheat bread, and your choice of cheese. Although placing my order in advance over the phone and waiting the allotted time my order was not ready when I arrived. My husband ate the marconi salad and he thought it was decent. My panini on the other hand lacked the flavor profile I was expecting with the chipotle spread. Although the salmon was very moist I will not be ordering this panini again. I may try something else in the near future.

First time customer last week. The food was excellent. I had the Red Sea Tuna Salad sandwich. The portion was huge and the flavor was excellent. Among the best tuna sandwich's I've ever had. The tomato, spinach & pasta soup was delicious. It tasted homemade and was the perfect match for my sandwich. I also tried the pineapple lemonade. OMG! I have a sweet tooth and it was satisfied. It was surprisingly delicious. But, I could only have one a week or so! The food was reasonably priced; with the tip, I think it was a little over $20.00. The staff was super friendly. It took a few minutes longer than I expected for the food to be prepared. But, it clearly wasn't pre-made. It tasted fresh made. That takes a little more time. Happy to wait for it! The store is small with one or two tables as I recall. Maybe 4 to 8 people could eat-in if they like. I'm so glad this little soups, salads and sandwiches shop is in the neighborhood. I want the tuna sandwich again. But, I think I'll try the grilled salmon sandwich tomorrow when I go back.
