Simmer Huang

Bellevue location of this Chinese chain of restaurants. Located in the same plaza as Asian Family Mart. Mid-sized restaurant, has a bit more interior space compared to its neighbors. Went there on a Sunday night and it was about half full.They are a simmering pot restaurant where you can order ingredients kind of like hotpot. But instead of cooking in a soup base, they put everything in their special pot to simmer/steam with some sauce that tasted like a combination of soy, oyster, and hoisin sauce. We ordered a pot with sliced beef, pork, and a collection of veggies and also mushrooms. It does take 10-15 min to cook at the table. Flavor is pretty good for everything inside, with the juices of the ingredients mixing together and absorbed, and their special savory sauce was a good compliment. The pot we ordered (the medium one) was enough for the 3 of us. Price wasn't too expensive. Enjoyed the meal overall.

This is the first time that I go to this restaurant ，the environment is yellow. The food is delicious. We are four people. We all feel enough.We choose beef and chicken and fish...

This place is alright, just internet red a while back. Came here with my friend for lunch a while back. They have couple of main entrees. We ordered two pot to share with 4 of us total. Each pot came with 1 appetizer of your choice in the menu. The service was good, but the food is alright. Portion size for the meat is poor. Tons of vegetables like I'm some kind of vegetarian or something. Definitely worth taking the picture and posting it on the social media that is fosho! Overall, one time kind of spot for me. Nothing special worth for me to think on coming back.

We ordered the All Beef Pot for 3 people and it was just the right amount of food, I think we still had some leftover at the end too. The pot comes with a variety of meats (diced beef, short rib, tripe, and meatballs) and a generous amount too. I also especially liked the vegetables and potato that were in the pot because I think they soaked up the sauce + beef flavor and were very tender. The staff will come up to your kitchen and cook the pot in front of you, so bear in mind there will be a slight wait as they need to add the ingredients and let it simmer. However, it's not too long and soon you can enjoy the food! :D

This is a very uniquely Chinese experience. Because of the summer, the meat was very soft and juicy, and of course, all the way cooked through. The service was good too, they gave extensive explanation of the simple menu they have. If you split a pot between 4 people, the price is really not that bad. Ambiance is good, restaurant is very clean.

I've never tried a simmering pot before, so the main thing that stood out to me was that the sauce appeared super viscous when first deployed, but mixed in with the water released from the vegetables to be a nice consistency. The employees cook and season the pot for you at your table, which is a switch up form the usual tabletop hotpot format where every person cooks for themselves. The next thing I didn't like so much about my experience was that because we picked the pancake for our carb (opposed to noodles or rice) is that they also went into the pot so everything was covered with the same sauce. I would've probably preferred them plain like a palette cleanser, but it was alright. By far, my group liked the yam and shrimp in the pot the most, so if we were to order extra toppings it would be those two.

Overall solid place. I like the food here and would come back on occasion for the unique experience.I would hope for the price that there is more meat. I find that there is a lot of filler veggies, meatballs, etc. I do feel that for slightly less and slightly more food you could try sizzling pot king.

Very tasty with special sauce （not spicy at all as we tried the mid level sauce），the beef，tendor and tribe pot are so good，so is the bullfrog one. bit expensive though

Simmer pot. cooked in front of you. You can choose the sets or have your own choices. It's a little bit difficult to choose if you want many different foods. Parking is available but weekends the plaza is busy.

Ordered chicken wing simmer pot with non spicy sauce. Unexpectedly good. Chicken wings were so tender, wtf. The cloves of garlic were great. Quail eggs also great. Rice with the sauce was great. Wish I can come here without my kids to eat spicy bullfrog simmer pot
