Small casual place in East Cambridge! Not too pricey, got the lamb noodle soup. Food came quickly too. Service was efficient. The soup itself was nice and flavorful, needed on a rainy day! The lamb was chewy, not the most tender. But still a decent meal. Should probably come back and try the spicy things they're known for though

Surprised to see northwestern Chinese food in Cambridge. Wasn't expecting too much and yes the food turned out to be just okay... They do have a pretty comprehensive menu with most popular dishes such as chicken plate and lamb kebabs. I think it just has to do with where the meat is coming from... just doesn't taste that authenticSmall portion but reasonable price

The food was great and definitely worth trying! The meat and noodles are all very well flavored. The samosa was fluffy with a juicy filling. The naan was crispy on top.Service was pretty fast. The restaurant is not very big and does not have a restroom.

Loved the food at this small family owned restaurant. Hot piping food was brought to the table as it was made one dish at a time

the noodles at silk road really lived up to the hype. i scarfed these down so quickly! the dry fried noodle was my favorite but the laghman noodle was also quite good. with good prices and high quality food, silk road is a must visit in the area. the interior of the restaurant is quite small and quiet, but it can be nice for a small group or even solo meal. highly recommend!

I like the authentic menu selection including some most representative Uyghur food. Service was very friendly. Overall food was okay and too salty for my liking. Generous portion. This is a casual spot. Kitchen is very close and you can smell everything (you may like it or not)

I've been meaning to go to Silk Road Uyghur Cuisine for quite some time, given it's in my neighborhood! It's a pretty small spot, with just a few tables, so I think most people do takeout. To see the menu, there's a barcode on the table, and then you order with your phone. At the end of your meal, you pay at the front counter. In terms of food, we ordered the Meat Naan and Dry Fried Noodle. The Meat Naan was quite heavy, but absolutely delicious. I'd recommend splitting it, but even then, you'll probably have leftovers. The Dried Fried Noodle was the star of the show. It had a spicy sauce that was addicting! I just wish there was a bit more meat in the dish. I hope to come back again soon!

Not being familiar with Uyghur food I ordered one of their best selling non-spicy dishes the dried fried noodles which comes with beef. This was a great first choice as noodles are always a favorite of mine but the taste is definitely much different than my usual Cantonese or Thai noodle dishes. The noodles were surprisingly very flavorful despite not being spicy and I really love the use of fresh handmade noodles.

A quiet, small spot in East Cambridge with pretty unique cuisine. The service is quick, and instead of waitstaff, there is a chowbus QR code at each table to order your meal, which seems to be pretty popular in Chinese restaurants nowadays. Food was overall pretty delicious - I think the spices were milder than expected."Samosas": were flaky on the outside, nice meat filling on the inside, pretty delicious."Medium" plate Chicken: noodles were too soft and I kept getting shards of chicken bones (which told me the meat was not handled super well), but the flavor was ok, and the chicken was tender and juicy. Potatoes were at varying level of doneness but still cooked through. I liked how there were different sizes for this dish.Cumin Lamb - large, fatty pieces of lamb were cooked well, with a gently crisp exterior and a tender bite. This dish went really well with rice, but is not overly salty as other places make it.
