Went to this bar for the first time while I was in town for work, and had an amazing experience because of Missy the bartender. Definitely a place to go if your in town and hopefully your lucky enough to have her as a bartender.

Just adding more start to the business. It's a dive bar a tad sideways but it works . From time to time you might get some cowboy bar frights and funny drunk people

Where do you start with this one, besides the female owner this place is a gem ;). The BEST dive bar in town, great prices and stiff drinks. The bartenders are great!! If you stick around long enough you will get fed and see the owner do his favorite dance! Whooooo

very friendly atmosphere and awesome bartenders. I also like the games..shuffleboard and such.

good local bar. robert is great. GIVE HIM MORE SHIFTS. he provides great service. he's funny, competent, sense of humor, dances great. would be great to see him there more. thank you.

I stopped in because of all the reviews saying "only come here if you like filthy dive bars and bartenders with bad attitudes". Jokes in them in into that stuff! Strong pour, big shots, and cheap beers. I dont know what these babies are complaining about, but if you're the type that likes to drink and can handle their own, this place is worth the stop. Pool table, table tennis, and shuffleboard. What more could you really ask for?

Meth.. not even once unless your a regular at Sideways Bar that is. The clientele at this Jewel of El Cajon consists mainly of strung-out meth users, failed rehab junkies, and wife beaters.

Stacey was the most obnoxious bartender I've ever seen. I've been here several times and have never witnessed such a belligerent and crazy bartender. She was arguing with a customer about a bill and went on to say he is a continued problem. If that was the case limit this repeated customer to one or two drinks then send them on their way. Don't raise your voice, curse, and keep everyone else from having a good time.

been coming to this bar for a while and lots of complaints from others that they charge other people's drinks on the wrong peoples tabs! So let me sum it up! I always pay cash there I've used my card on several occasions but the most I've put on my tab/card was 7 dollars! A few weeks ago I noticed a 61$ charge on my card. Mind you I don't even drink I go to hang with some family member. I had my bank investigate the charge and it came back deemed in my favor, now let's fast forward to last week me and my bf pulled up there and we were immediately approached by the owner Debbi who completely embarrassed us by pulling up the notice bank sent her and immediately she accused of fraud, this owner is so unprofessional she began to send out mass text messages to staff members in a group chat saying that if we come to bar we are only allowed cash. Fast forward a week later we go to bar and me and my bf walked in and now the owners husband Dennis confronts us yet again publicly humiliated us over 61$ when we've spent so much money there. He began to tell us in front of other customers that our cards were no good there and we thought we were slick with the scam we pulled! At this point I'm like what's up with the unprofessionalism? I proceeded to go outside and ask the owner Debbi for a moment of her time privately . I told her that the way she handling the sitUstinov very unprofessional and that I felt like we were being attacked every time we come in now and that's it's not right to smud peoples names! She began to yell at me and point her finger in my face! I told her to get her finger out my face and to act professionally but what can you exp when the owners are drunk too??? I normally wouldn't care or make a stink but they have racially profiled us at this place because we are an interracial couple. I've actually helped behind the bar cleaning and washing dishes to help them out before and I've never asked them for nothin! Dennis also came out and started yelling at me saying because of me they now have lost points for their business I told them ain't no way this has never happened before because literally customers there have complained about being overcharge! the bartender even said it happens all the time! I'll tell you this if I don't drink and there's no way my bf going to drink 11 drinks that fast That tab was bs! the owners didn't handle this situation with integrity by sending out group texts and telling others at the bar that we scammed them for 61$ lol that's funny to me! If I could give 0 stars I would!

Been to this bar regularly the past few weeks. Great overall. Robert especially is great. Provides great service. Would love to see him more there (was the first time I saw him bartend). Please give him more nights! Will be there more often!
