Side Yard Public House

The Sideyard Public House has been a lifesaver for our community ever since it opened. It puts out great food has a wonderful selection of beers (so I hear, I'm not a beer drinker) and offer 48 different wine labels (which I do partake in). The only negative I have ever had was the annoying flys that were always trying to steal my food. I showed up last night and asked my family if they noticed anything different and they immediately said "No flies!". Then I stopped by with my daughter and her friend for a quick friend during the day and again No Flies!! I'm not sure what they did, but it's the proverbial icing on the cake with a great atmosphere, great food, great neighbors and entertainment and now no annoying flies! Thank you!

My husband and I were staying at the Welk Resort and were searching for food off site and we found this gem. It's a super cute, chill spot with delicious food. My husband had the fire bird sandwich with no slaw or pickles and loved it; he said it had great flavor. I had the fish and chips and they were cooked SO well! Super crunchy and hot breading on the fish--so good. The fish inside was small though so breading to fish ratio could be improved. We also ordered the sweet potato fries and they were hot, crunchy and soft on the inside--perfection. Service is great! You order at the bar and seat yourself. They have music in different days than posted so be aware if you're looking for entertainment. Recommend if you're staying in the area.

Local spots like this scare me. I never know when a little casual eatery is going to be a diamond or a bust. This is definitely the former.**disclaimer** we don't drink, so don't read further if you're looking for info on the local draught. BUT, given my experience, I'm sure that's great too.Everything is casual. Self seating. Order at the bar, take your number and go chill. I love it.Food is upmost tier. First rate. Top notch.I had the CBR Bird. Fantastic taste and texture the whole way through. All the ingredients were perfectly blended. Nothing was overpowering, nothing was too shy to say hello. Would order again in .2 seconds (that's two-tenths, for those that are mathematically challenged.)Daughters shared the chicken tenders. Solid portion. AWESOME fries. Light and crispy. Seriously, so good.Wife had a buffalo chicken wrap (not pictured). She is pretty picky, and she ate the whole darned thing. That's the best compliment she can give.We had some truffle fries and FML fries for the table. Both were great. Only mistake I made was ordering both, because they are serious servings so one would have been enough. I'm leaving this whole helping of the FML fries because I'm stuffed. They are gonna think I hated them. lol! Not the case. Great stuff.Lastly - the pretzel bites. Order them. Also not pictured because I ate those things like... well, I'll keep this PG. they were good. This place is absolutely darling, but you wouldn't even know that just from looking at the outside. Walking in the entire restaurant is outdoors, the decor and seats are wonderful. Tons of booths, pillows, and fresh flowers on every table. You order at the bar, grab your number and they will bring out the food to you. Everything seemed to be self served, self serve water, silverware, condiments, etc. Came for brunch and ordered bottomless mimosas $25, they gave us a bottle with cranberry and orange juice as well. When you finish your bottle just go on up to the bar for another. I was a bit let down by the brunch menu, there wasn't that many options but they did say we could order food from the deli next door. The food was just okay, I asked for crispy potatoes and they were not at all. The omelette was good and had fresh ingredients. The bacon could have been crispier. There is also a ton of flies and hungry birds since it is all outdoors. Overall, everyone was so nice and accommodating, and the vibe here is so welcoming. I'll definitely return to try the lunch menu as it was a bigger variety.

I wanted to find a spot off the beaten path that I could ride my bike to and I found this gem. Up in the rocky hills of north county this was the perfect spot to ride to. Great bar and selection. The wings were really good and the staff friendly. Nicely decorated, open outdoor seating and has live music. Fun, tastier and a great location.

This was a super cute spot. We were in town and wanted to find a place to watch our team play and this was a short distance away. The front of this spot doesn't look like anything special, but when you walk in, it super cute, open and airy and sports like but girly and granola a little bit, they have the bbq going on the side. The wide variety of beers were perfect for us, as we like to try different Pale Ales and IPA's and we had a great time here.

We've been here several times in the past and they were all great but this last time was mediocre. Idk if something has changed recently. Our food came out much faster than usual, usually we order 2 beers while we are waiting, no complaints about the speed. However our tots were over cooked, we barely ate them . My husband got the chicken sandwich with bacon and it had 1/2 piece of bacon and too mucb sauce. I got the chicken wrap, it was drowning in sauce, waaaay too much. We really used to like coming here so we'll give it another go in a couple months to see if it's changed back to how it used to be.

The food was very good and it came out in a decent amount of time. The atmosphere is relaxing, and has the feel of eating at home on your patio. The menu is simple and the staff is really nice. My only complaint is the amount of large flies waiting to land on your meal. It was too much for me. I couldn't enjoy my meal like I wanted to. Although the fans helped a little, it wasn't enough to make a difference. If there were a better way to combat the flies, I would definitely given more stars.

Lovely indoor plants and cozy atmosphere for an early lunch. We had yummy fish tacos, Truffle Fries and a Side Yard Burger. Wait for it...The food took about 45 minutes to come out and there were no other people in the dining room and only 3 at the bar. We were so hungry maybe that is why it tasted so good. So, below average service from the bartender and the fact that you had to go up to her to order, pay, and get your own water, utensils and to-go packaging bring my rating down.

The outside seating is nice, the evening was a little cool but there was live music and it was nice. The chicken wings were good and the CBR Bird sandwich was good, the loaded tater tots and french fries were good! It was a little busy so we didn't see the server except to bring our food to the table.
