Sicilian-ish Cafe and Deli

This place is awesome. Best sammiches in the neighborhood. The location is tucked away, but finding it is worth it.

This was an interesting space for a cafe and deli setup because it's nestled on a busy part of Laurel St with two off-site airport parking structures located across from each other. There is not much nearby curbside parking, maybe on Kettner Blvd if you are fortunate. I stopped at Sicilian-ish Cafe and Deli right before it was about to close on a mid-afternoon. The owner was kind enough to accommodate me even though the dining room had already been cleaned, and the workers were about to log off the clock.A menu card was next to the service counter listing the available sandwiches, salads, and paninis. I picked a Spicy Italian from the eight varieties of subs, all of which were made using a 10" Italian roll. Soppressata salami, spicy capocollo, pepperoni, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayonnaise, mustard, and Italian dressing were the ingredients. They were tightly packed inside the roll. I could taste the spiciness in the capocollo while the bread quality was very good.As I was departing with my to-go order, the owner handed me a wrapped chocolate chip cookie. It was likely part of the last batch at the end of the day. I appreciated the generosity and the effort he made to be customer-friendly. The rating for my dining experience at Sicilian-ish Cafe and Deli was at a four-star level.

Great Sicilian street food and subs made fresh daily!! This place is great. I use their catering services for work events and is always a hit.

Awesome ambiance cool stuff on the walls , comfy chairs , big TVv and the customer service was great .....If you're in search of a KILLER Authentic Sicilian Meatball Sandwich made with the best sauce , real meatballs , cheese and freshly backed roll this is the spot.......... I'll be back for sure VIVA ITALIA

Friendly atmosphere. Amazing Sicilian dishes and treats. Stop by and do your tastes buds a favor. Go to Sicialian-ish. I was warmly greeted by the owner and served with a perfect meatball sandwich!

SO FRESH!!!! The chicken pesto panini was amazing, will re-order every time. The pesto was clean, fresh tasting and the focaccia is made in house. Chicken parm sub was also delicious! Will be back!

Coming all the way from the east coast and being an Italian sub connoisseur. This was the best place I have ever gotten a sub at five out of five stars I ordered online and it made it super easy for me they must have made homemade fresh bread because it was just absolutely delicious.
