Very mid hotpot for seattle. The broth was barely had any flavor, we ordered bok choy but got lettuce, and the meat was okay. The vegetable portions were quite large though which was nice. The spicy beef was also okay and the lamb portion was not huge despite ordering a large. Overall, I probably would not come back for that food quality. The location was a small restaurant inside of a house and it was nice that they accommodated for our large group. The location is definitely more meant for groups of 2-4 rather than large groups.

This place is looks like a house on the outside and it's not on the main road so you definitely need to be looking for it to find it. The place does hot pot and there seem to busy during lunch time. We ended up ordering takeout and got the chicken in chili oil. For the price, it was a pretty good portion. The chicken could be more tender in my opinion but the flavor was there. Definitely will be back to try their other items or even their hotpot.

I love hotpot places! This place is pretty good and could easily get five stars just on their service and friendliness. The food is great, too!

It's traditional hotpot place. The owner is very friendly. Since it was on Chinese New Year weekend, he upgraded our meat order for free. Food quality is not bad. If you are looking for a place for hotpot and not too pricey, you could try this place. Their meat is very thinly sliced.

DO NOT EAT HERE. This place has recently underwent new ownership - and they are awful. DO NOT EAT HERE. The owners were openly smoking in the kitchen, which is about 3 feet from the main dining area. The cook was sitting there openly smoking all around the food, no gloves on, and the kitchen was a mess. After less than 3 minutes of being there, our clothes already smelled awful and my kids were coughing. You could see the smoke in the restaurant. On top of that, the bathroom was disgusting and smelled. The glasses of water they gave us weren't clean. We left before we could order, but this place is a mess. When we mentioned to them about the smoke, they didn't seem to care. Makes sense since no one was there at 6 pm on a Friday. This place (under the old ownership) used to be packed every night. DO NOT EAT HERE.

A small mom and pop hot pot restaurant in the U district, I'm regretful I didn't visit here earlier. Prices were extremely reasonable and all ingredients were fresh. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered a split pot with two flavors. The tomato broth was so rich in flavor and the house spicy had plenty of spices and flavor as well. Each broth included extra veggies such as potato, carrot, and mushrooms. We got the cucumber appetizer which usually at other places is just 1 cucumber sliced up but this place was really generous. Sauce bar had the basics and when ingredients were running low the staff was quick to refill them. Even though the interior is small it felt very homey and cozy. 3 of us spent ~$100 but we were full and couldn't finish everything. Not bad for a la carte hot pot nowadays!

My friend was craving the lamb spine hotpot so we came here for a super late dinner on Sunday (~10PM). Even though we were the only party (and almost the last) that came in and would potentially delay his off-work time, the waiting staff still received us very nicely. We ordered a small lamb spine hotpot (supposedly for 1-2 people with several add-ons (green vegetables, frozen tofu, pork blood tofu, and bamboo shoots) and got a free add-on platter which included tofu, Napa cabbage, and sweet potato vermicelli. The lamb spine was delicious and we ate way more than average people (I guess ;) ?), so we augmented it to large. The spine didn't have much meat on it but had absorbed lots of flavor from the broth. The frozen tofu was the best add-on to this hotpot since it could absorb much flavor too. The staff was super nice and attentive. The place was small, clean, and intimate. I'd love to be back for another late-night hotpot!

We came to this restaurant on a Friday around 8:30PM. They opened until 11PM so there was plenty of time for us to eat. The restaurant was not too big but it was clean. Our table was spacious for us two people. Every table had a tablet for ordering. The staff was very friendly and served efficiently. The food was delicious and well-portioned. We were very full and satisfied with each person paid about $60 including tips.Everything was an additional 12% off so I considered the value was very good.Street parking in U District as usual. It was not hard to find parking and then walking there.

Nice mom and pop hot pot up in the U-district! This endless grey seattle winter has made it a necessity to hit every local hot pot place in the area! Sichuan hot pot is a much smaller operation than most other hot pot places. It looks like you are walking into someone's house at first. Ordering is pretty simply using laminated menus with a dry erase pen to circle your desired vittles.Went with the split broth option. Tomato base and the house spicy broth. I actually really liked the tomato base the best. Lamb neck broth was a special up charge but might try next time. They don't offer the luxury cuts here like wagyu but I felt the quality was still good. I went with Angus beef, premium lamb and fatty lamb for the meats, mixed veg and mixed mushrooms for non meat items. Sauce bar is not the most extensive I've seen but I concocted a sufficiently tasty slurry that paired well with my food. They do offer raw egg which you can either Crack raw into your sauce (the legit way) but can also boil in your cauldron too. Food came out great and I was really happy with the flavors. They also have a large selection of non hot pot snacks that I will have to try next time. Weirdly enough some of the reviews mentioned that some of the burners did not boil equally and that was the case with my set up. It didn't cause any problems with cooking however. Service was great and friendly! Great option for hot pot!
