One of the best Thai restaurants in the area! The buffet offers incredibly fresh dishes made to order!

The original owner Kenny had the best Thai food in Chicago & me & my friends ate there forever. He retired & sold the business & now they're is a 2nd new owner (2months old ). I had to try it as I miss good Thai food since Kenny retired.Well let's start with tofu appetizer, a small portion of tiny little pieces (skimpy for $8.50) . Pad Thai had a nasty smell & we could not eat it (returned) & it turned out that he put way to much of fish sauce which gave it a strong fishy smell. The chicken satay skimpy. The salty fish fried rice, couldn't taste salty fish. I guess I have to wait for the next new owner. One & done shame on them.

I haven't been to this place in a while but quality has really gone down. The service was not the best and the waiter didn't even give us water and had us wait to take our order because they had a few phone orders come in at the same time. We ordered the chicken lard nar and it was pasty and sticky...almost like it was left over and they just added some more sauce and reheated. It was goooy and sticky. The chicken fried rice was ok. The chicken satay peanut sauce had a clumpy and oily consistency. The catfish salad already had the sauce on it when they used to leave it on the side. They drenched the salad so it was way too much sauce. The Thai iced coffee and tea tasted the same as before. The worst was the lard nhar that really left an icky feeling in my mouth.

Love the menu selections, I will have to before back to try more. It wasn't busy when we were there, but the service was just alright since there was only 1 person working. Food feels very authentic and portions are good, not big portions if that's what you want. The place was clean and well equipped, we want to come back soon!

I was first introduced to this spot by my sister and brother-in-law. They are regulars here and understandably so because the basil chicken here is delicious! You can get it according to your preferred spice level (mild) and they can serve it with a fried egg. It's such good comfort food! My sister and her family have moved out of state since then and this spot has always been their first stop upon arriving back into town when they visit. Their other dishes are also very delicious and I've heard that this is probably the most authentic Thai restaurant in the area. They've changed owners during my most recent visit but the dishes were still the same as I remembered it. Maybe the fried egg was slightly different and doesn't quite have the same crunchy edges. Overall still good and would still come by to satisfy those cravings!

Sadly I have to write his review because of the lack of service. This used to be such a welcoming place. I walked in and no one was to be seen. Finally (5 minutes later), a little boy ran up to the front and asked me some questions. I was seated and then told that there is no buffet special for the next 2 days. Meanwhile they advertise buffet every day. I used to come here as a child and drove almost an hr just to get here to end up disspointed and having to go elsewhere.

PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. really read the new reviews. They are right. Went for the lunch buffet and it was absolutely disgusting. Cold and empty trays. I found a piece of hair in the pad Thai. I used to love coming here for the buffet. High quality and great tastes. But with the new ownership, I was highly disappointed. Will not be going back

The food tasted like fish oil. I didn't not order any fish. The pad Thai was good, not great. The pad sei eiw was what tasted fishy, and I ordered beef Maybe I don't "know" good Thai food, but I am not a fan of this restaurant!

I think Siam's House is under a NEW management. Therefore, the recipe like Pad Thai and Satay we have been ordering for the past 8 years taste blaaahhh. Everything is new like the colorful flowery chairs, a Night Karaoke, etc. I just wish they did not changed the recipes since this used to be the best Thai restaurant in the area. Now i have to go to Mt Prospect (Pad Thai Restaurant) to taste an authentic, delicioius Thai cuisine.

Didn't realize this place was under new management until we drove 40 min to pick up the food to eat in the comfort of my home. My family has been going here for 15+ years, even longer if you count going to the Siam Noodle on Broadway (they once shared the same cook). I opened the dried beef to see the dipping sauce is not the same as the traditional chili sauce with garlic. Ate one bite of the beef only to realize, it was not the same seasoned, dried beef jerky. Opened the pad woon sen to see undercooked corn, peapods, red peppers - their old pad woon sen was a staple in our family so seeing the change before even tasting made me begin to question what was happening. Needless to say, once I tried the pad woon sen, it had absolutely no flavor at all. Clumped noodles and pan fried dry vegetables. Opened the crispy tofu to only find 6 small cubes of fried tofu.... For $7.50. That's over $1 a bite of tofu. Disappointing. Opened the white rice to see we probably got the end batch of the rice where it begins to get brown and dry. For those who don't taste the difference, I hope you continue to enjoy. Hopefully the customer service in store is exceptional as well. And for those who have been dining here for years, I'm sorry. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID. I SHOULD'VE READ YELP REVIEWS INSTEAD OF WASTING MY MONEY ON THE NEW SUBPAR, TASTELESS FOOD.
