Yes, it gets packed on the weekends and is loud, so if that's not your thing then maybe give it a try during the week. BUT this place is slammed on Friday and Saturday eve for good reason! Even in a city filled to the brim with Italian food, this is a great Italian restaurant and bar with delicious, quality food and craft cocktails, a solid wine list, and a vibrant setting with stylish decor. Whatever they lack in speed, they make up for with superbly friendly service. It seems like San Diego has high restaurant turnover, and I'm thrilled that Siamo Napoli is doing well.I've been coming here with a couple of girlfriends every few weeks for a while, and we've gotten to know the owners and some of the staff a bit, as they are extremely hospitable. The charismatic and boisterous brothers Giovanni and Flavio tirelessly work to ensure their guests are comfortable and have everything they need, while James delivers dry humor and killer cocktails at the bar. All the food I've had is yummy. The calamari and bruschetta are delicious. The margherita pizza and pappardelle ragu are both lovely. Admittedly, I usually don't go for higher end Italian dishes because I'm not a seafood or even meat aficionado - I like my dishes classic and on the simpler side. So I can't speak to whether the pricier seafood items are worth it or not. But all the apps, pizzas, and pastas I've tried have been fresh, flavorful, and left me quite satisfied. To top it off, every now and then one of the brothers or other staff members will offer us a complimentary dessert or a limoncello. I'm not a huge dessert person, but the tiramisu and nutella cheesecake are to die for!

I came here for happy hour and it was pretty good. We got their calamari fritti, the fiore di zucca, and some potato croquette with prosciutto in it. We also got a magherita pizza and their scialatelli (not on the happy hour menu, just fyi). For dessert, we got tiramisu which was beyond good. But overall, it was a good experience and delicious food. The owner came out and greeted us, so he's very personable.

I was disappointed. The yelp rating raised my expectations. The service was disconnected. I order a salad and an appetizer as my entree and asked that they come out with the other entrees. They were served 10 minutes before the other guest food. We brought a bottle of wine and asked for a decanter, the brought it as set it in the table and walked away. The food was all good. I ordered the artichokes based on pictures of whole baby artichokes pictured on Yelp. My mistake. I reviewed a bowl of what appeared to be canned artichoke hearts. They were good. But not what I wanted. The beet salad was certainly good. The pizza and pasta dishes were also good. Parking is very limited. Take the bus or Lyft. Overall it was an OK experience. Based on the service and noise levels, I would not return.

My gf and I ordered the special vodka pasta and tiramisu for takeout to grand in a picnic for our 3 year anniversary. There's something about this vodka sauce that is so cheesy and creamy it really is the best sauce there. The extra touch of burrata was a great addition that didn't make it too much cheese either. The tiramisu was just ok. It was very moist and the light hints of mocha were delicious. I felt that the icing on the top of the tiramisu was a little too sweet because there was an additional layer of the same icing inside already, but just scoop that top layer off and it was pretty good. Honestly, the food was pretty great for it being a takeout order! The restaurant is extremely busy as the workers are running around and to actually hear anyone they have to be yelling at you. We had our takeout scheduled for 6:30PM, but unfortunately the food still wasn't ready until 7:20PM.

A very unassuming storefront leads into a very festive space with a full bar and pizza hearth and a huge mural of Sophia Loren. Service was on point. Good recommendations, solid timing, and on top for drink reorders. Call me pedestrian, but I started with a refreshing Aperol Spritz, but the drink to order is the Bambina - tequila, pamplemoose, citrus juices and a Tajín rim. Delicious! We started with the Arancini, which there were two kinds - a traditional rice which was good, and a potato that was a fluffier version of a French croquette that was out of this world. Next was a garlic artichoke special that was truly amazing, perhaps the star of the evening. For my main I had the squid ink pasta and shellfish special. Everything on this dish was delicious except for the Langostino that was a tad mushy which doesn't align with my preferences. I think this might be my new Italian go to for now.

Park behind the restaurant in the alley. Go into the restaurant to get validation to park without paying! Otherwise, parking is definitely very hard to find in the area.

- Service: Amazing, loved our waiter (funny, patient & accommodating)- Food (entrees): Disappointing (lacked flavor) & pricey- Parking: They have their own private complimentary underground parking lot but it's hard to find. Drive to the corner of 30th and Lincoln Street and go down a shady-as-heck narrow alley way, then down a short ramp. But you can walk directly back to it from the restaurant (it's connected like a garage). Appetizers:- Calamari Fritti: well fried and tasty- Burratina: Highly recommend, the burrata was lightly salted and delicious with the tomatoes drizzled in glazeEntree:- Campanelle al pesto (+ shrimp): cost $40 for a medium sized pasta dish that was lackluster at best. It tasted slightly of pesto but had no other seasoning whatsoever. I was extremely disappointed with this dish for the price point. It had a semi-watery texture (seems like a trend since that's what other reviewers have mentioned) and it could have used at least a sprinkle of flavor (maybe top it off with prosciutto bits). Even my husband, who who isn't picky, said it could have at least used some element of salt in it.Pros:- It was my friend's birthday, so they gave her a complimentary prosecco and a board with two generous slices of cake - one limoncillo and the other dark chocolate nutella. That was a nice touch!

I really like the ambiance inside the restaurant. They brought out the complimentary bread it was really great. I ordered the Campanella al pesto it comes with fresh bell-shaped pasta with homemade pesto, cherry tomatoes, roasted pine nuts, topped with burrata cheese and I added the shrimp as well. The owner came out to checked in on us and asked about the food and gave him feedbacks. They also brought out nice complimentary deserts toward the end. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

This is by far the BEST ITALIAN in San Diego. The atmosphere of lemons and laughs will make you feel like you're on the streets of Sorrento. The friendly staff will make you feel like family. And the food will make you come back for more again and again. Any dish with the family sausage recipe...absolutely banging. All seafood dishes are a can't miss option as well. This place will make you want to learn Italian.
