Shogun Japanese Steak & Sushi

Great food, but the stopped being open for lunch a few years ago so we found the new place Takumi Hibachi close by and it has robots that bring your salads and to go food! Also amazing. I'll never understand why businesses changed after 2020 and cut back on hours forever.

This was one of our favorite places to go for hibachi but the last few times we went we felt rushed. It's like they were trying to turn tables quickly so they rushed through everything. When eating off the hibachi, it should not be rushed. The last time we went we took our granddaughter. We were served our meal and given sherbert and the check all at the same time. They need to get back to the way they were.

Shogun is still a fun place for family and (very) small groups to get together. I'm glad to see the business keeping itself afloat, but it's a concept well past its prime. Talented teppanyaki chefs were a rare breed long before COVID-19. Now? Cooking skills seem less important than breathing, smiling, slicing, and dicing at any level. The flare was definitely gone at our cooktop... as was the speed of managing items in the high heat of the griddle. Slow rice handling gets you an unintentionally burnt and bitter plate of fried rice. The beef (sirloin) was actually tender and flavorful enough that I'd order it again over the more expensive tenderloin. The chicken was O.K. The miso wasn't (and tasted like it wasn't even miso.)Yum-yum sauce? It had been too long since I'd had it. I now remember why.Your mileage will vary. Just set high expectations a notch or two lower and i.g.b.o.k.

If we could rate this place 1 star we would. Food has all gone down hill compared to 2020. The attitude of the staff isn't the same. food quality is poor, portions are 40% less than before and prices went up. From now on Takumi wins out loyalty. We used to dine here at least once a week but refuse to ever set food in here again. Takumi is clean, people have great attitudes and the food tastes better. Shoghun is also dirty from the exterior to inside. Very greasy like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Never again!

Came here for lunch and definitely recommend. Lunch is half the price as dinner for the same thing so if you are able to go at lunch that's what I recommend. We sat at the hibachi table on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. We started with the traditional miso soup and salad which hit the spot. I ordered the salmon hibachi. It came with A LOT of fried rice, vegetables and a decent sized piece of salmon. And of course the "show" of cooking the food was excellent.

the food was awesome the sup was soooo good but at first it tasted weird but after a few more bites it tasted really good sadly the wait was a tad bit long the look was sooo cool

FOOD IS DISGUSTING! Steak tasted spoiled, chicken was chewy and flavorless. There is NO SHOW.Portions are smaller and prices are higher. The floor, table and chairs were FILTHY! We are shocked that this place has not been shut down by the board of health. Overpriced for food that may cause you food poisoning.
