I loved the previous restaurant!, Walnut Grille, and although they've changed to Shiva's they fortunately kept some of my favorite dishes. I'm talking about you roasted cauliflower!!

This was our first time trying Shiva's Kitchen, and we were very happy with our meal. We ordered chicken momos, chicken tikka masala, and madras curry with paneer. The momos were very tasty, but the dipping sauces were just ok. The tikka masala and the madras curry were both delicious, and the basmati rice was very fresh and fluffy. The portion sizes are good, and I think it is slightly less expensive than the other Indian options in the area. The ambiance inside is nice, it was rather empty when we walked in but by the time we got our food it was very busy and a bit noisy. The servers were nice but noticeably understaffed- it took a little time to get the check and to-go containers for our leftovers. But overall we were happy with our experience and would definitely return.

This place is A-OK, but also has places where it could improve. We went there for the first time early on a Friday evening. They seem to do a steady business of online orders (I could see their screen light up every time they got an order) and we felt like the table service suffered as a result. We ordered the malai kofta and the korma; when they were put on our table we realized have the same exact sauce. I wish that they had told us that when we had ordered it. When ordering, I had asked their opinions, so it was the perfect opportunity for them to point out that these with the same exact dishes, one with cheese and one with the veggies. We had some plain naan, which was very good. My kid did not like the cheese dosa. It came with spicy sauces, which doesn't make sense as a children's dish. The mango lassi was really delicious. I'd like to go back and try some different dishes. Hopefully I will get a server who will be able to point me in the right direction.

It was our first time dining here and we decided to try it based on it's vegetarian options. We ordered some momos and naan to share, our vegetarian ordered cheese dosa and we also got salmon tikka and chicken malai tikka. Everything we ordered was excellent - we enjoyed it very much.

The food has uniformly been great, and we have been there fairly frequently.The service is variable, and too often they are understaffed, slow, and make mistakes. Never rude, however, and if you are patient and persistent even a bit of a service issue will not overcome the wonderful food.

We recently had one of the worst Restaurant experiences ever, Which was surprising because we have had good experiences at Shivas kitchen in the past. New management? It took a long time to get everything and when food finally arrived.The first dish to be served was an entree - Both appetizers were skipped over until we point it out. The waitress poured water into my wine when trying to fill the water glasses. None of the food was good; The salmon Tikka was inedible. Spices way too strong for fish. We won't be back.
