Shima Japanese Restaurant

When we moved to this area from Redmond - Bellevue area, I was worried we wouldn't find a great Japanese-sushi spot. I was so thankful we found Shima, which has quality food, fish and other Japanese food options. The service is friendly and excellent; and the ambiance is ok. Highly recommend!

I haven't dined in but I've done lots of to-go orders. The fatty tuna is absolutely my favorite, the quality is absolutely amazing.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The floors and table tops are a bit tired but overall the restaurant was clean.

I can't believe I have not done a review yet for this one. Was looking for a great place for dinner to catchup with family in the area and Shima did not disappoint! The jalapeno yellowtail and lion king rolls were highlights, as well as the simplicity of the fresh toro nigiri. Definitely a gem of a place in Stanwood. Place was full right at 5pm so food was a bit delayed, but service from Dani was pleasant and attentive.

I've been here twice now. The sushi is amazing! Lots of different options. Everything is so vibrant and fresh! Chicken Yakisoba is delicious as well. I took my mom in during my second visit and she wants to go back soon!Not pictures but a repeat for us is the White Tiger Roll. I was worried it would be spicy, but they seeded the jalapeños and sliced them thinly on top. It wasn't spicy at all. A very yummy bite!

If you want to experience Japanese sushi and sashimi without going to Japan, then go to Anacortes and try DE Sushi.I have traveled to Japan over 40 times and this sushi restaurant is the best one in Skagit Valley.Give them a try, you won't regret it.

Recently moved to the area and have been in search of tasty sushi and finally found it. Very happy with fish quality, friendly service and good prices.

Lettuce wraps were 10/10Sushi was really good. I am giving it 4 stars just because in relation to other sushi in Seattle it's not jaw dropping, but I would say it's the best sushi in the Stanwood/ marysville/ Arlington/ camano island area. Surprisingly on a Tuesday night there were a good handful of people, but not enough to where we had to wait for seating. Service was super nice and the ambiance was very small town, cozy and friendly.

An amazing array of sushi and sashimi as well as other Japanese dishes- something for everybody
