Shiku Sushi

Delicious happy hour dinner. Bruce Lee roll, spicy tuna eel roll & California roll & Seattle roll.

Yes we spent an extra day in the PNW so we could get to Shiku Sushi again after our last trip four years ago. And once again the trout nigiri and sashimi was out of this world delicious. I had the Hama Hama roll which was splendid, spouse had Sashimi roll which was fascinatingly built, it must be wickedly hard to get it right. Even the kid who won;t eat any fish went wild for the ginger fried chicken and the edamame. Love, LOVE this place. So sad its so far from home.

We came here a little after they opened for their happy hour. We were immediately greeted by the host/server and sat down. Our server was excellent and attentive. I loved how the restaurant's interior looked, as it would be a perfect place for a special occasion.The meal we ordered consisted of California rolls, Spicy Tuna roll, Salmon hand roll, and Salmon Skin Sunomono. The sushi tasted excellent and fresh. The salmon skin sunomono was slightly salty for my palate because of the sauce. Despite that, it was a perfect appetizer. Overall, our meal filled us up for about $30.If you want sushi during happy hour in Ballard, I recommend this place.

The honey and I absolutely loved our visit to Shiku Sushi!Dropping in after a long walk, I ordered the avocado, cucumber, and veggie rolls and loved every one of them, almost ordering seconds. I'd been really missing having a veggie roll with fresh vegetables and between it and the avocado rolls they really hit the spot.The service was friendly and prompt and I loved the music they were playing. All and all I would definitely come back to Shiku Sushi and adored their vegetarian selection.

They gave us someone else's order. Their sushi isn't easy to identify, so I didn't realize it wasn't what we ordered. I almost ate it, but my wife cautioned me, because the order didn't look right to her. I have serious allergies, and I'm careful about what I order. I tried to get our waiter's attention. I could see that the waiter was attending to various other tasks. The waiter came over. We asked if this was our order. The waiter said they gave us someone else's food. So, they nearly put me in the hospital, and my wife saved me. The waiter said they were going to tell us, but it had been several minutes since delivery, and I could clearly see our waiter was not dashing over to our table to tell us. Instead, we had to wave them over, and THEN they told us. From my understanding, restaurants are supposed to train their employees to be more careful about this sort of thing.

Visited this place - the ambience is cute, and the service was okay. Tried the happy hour salt and pepper roll, spicy tuna, Shiku fries, and miso soup. Rolls were average, and the fries were good but not outstanding. The standout was the mango manga drink, though. Overall, an okay experience. You might want to consider other options next time.

We got quickly seated and it wasn't busy which was good. Although it took 10 mins to serve us water. 5 minutes later the waiter poured water and took our orders. The food took about 10 mins. But we were missing the Fried Stuffed Halapenos. The waiter came by and we told we were missing the Halapenos. Another 10 min goes by and still no Halapenos. Note: this place wasn't busy at all and the cooks were just standing around. So we waited total 35 mins and had to ask again. So i'm the next 5 mins they finally came out. The food was good, nothing special about. I got the Bruce Lee, Spicy Tuna, California Roll, and the Crunch. Tasted mediocre, if your looking for a place to eat sushi while walking around ballard choose this place. If you want something to spice up your meal get the "Fried Stuffed Halapenos". They were very flavorful and not to spicy.

I love love love this place. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. I love the many combo's they offer. I am from New Jersey and it puts my favorite place to shame. When visiting family it is one of new favorites. Great job

Looooove this place! Amazing food, exceptional service, and reasonably priced for the quality (I think I'm not a fish expert). Went for a nice dinner date and had a wonderful time.Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the Miso soup was randomly terrible. Maybe we just happened to get a weak batch? Either way, this small bummer only detracted slightly from an otherwise phenomenal experience.

Not worth it. The wings were cold and small. The sushi was below average. Basic, boring and not delicate at all. I got the Sumo. The service was sub-par. The waitress took a while to take our order. She didn't make us aware of last call. We would have ordered more but probably best we didn't since the food was underwhelming. Would never come here again.
