Food was good, we tried the chicken and beef shawarma cheesesteaks, fries, and chicken egg rolls. We were also provided complimentary pita chips which were a surprising sleeper hit dipped in the free hot sauce and tahini. What stood out to us the most however was the exceptional service and caring attitudes of ALL the workers, who made us feel welcome without being overbearing. Also - don't miss out on their homemade gelato: the mango and vanilla mix was delicious and a perfect end to a lovely meal!

Had a great lunch here with a friend today. The service was very friendly and attentive, and they gave my friend and I 2 free pieces of the chicken egg roll each... They also offered us beef as an option. The egg rolls were delicious! I also loved my chicken and beef shawarma plate... the meat and the hummus were delicious, especially together! The restaurant was very clean and well-lit with plenty of available seating to choose from. They are a new location... I'd highly recommend dining here!

Words cannot describe how excited I was to learn that my favorite food truck in the whole wide world had to open up a brick-and-mortar restaurant, much less that that brick and mortar restaurant was in my neighborhood! I had to try it out to see if the quality was the same as what I was used to, and dear reader let me assure you, it is and so much more!Is the meats are so good and so tender and so juicy and just overall incredible that I wish I could give this restaurant more than five stars. Immediately upon entering, I'm greeted by employees who genuinely seem like they're happy to be there, which is always great to see. They're just as enthusiastic about the food as I am, especially when I asked for recommendations. They did make it tricky, however, when the recommendations were literally everything on the menu lol. I joke, they steered me true. I got the chicken shawarma and the very unique but no less delicious Shawarma guys egg rolls. Talk about a trip to flavor town! It's no wonder Guy Fieri paid these guys a visit. I'm usually worried the chicken will be dry when it's served up, but that is NOT the case here. Juicy, tender, and flavored to perfection and beyond. I couldn't have found something to complain about if I tried. You can tell that the ingredients used here are of the utmost quality and prepared with care. I know some folks might not find themselves in the La Mesa area all that often, but if you do happen to be cruising through, make sure you stop by and try out the Shawarma Guys. It is absolutely worth it and one of La mesa's true hidden gems!

This place was bomb! Small little joint with that mom and pop feel atmosphere, very clean. Customer service was on point, they went out of their way to explain the menu and even give us a sample egg roll. Definitely coming back. I've been to the food truck in South Park but they didn't have the cheesesteak sandwiches, so good! A bit pricey but still was delicious!

Shawarma Guys has amazing dishes, with plates, pitas, salads, fries and cheesesteaks available!I got a salad with hummus (comes with pita) on the side and the portion was HUGE!The workers were very attentive and offered chicken shawarma egg rolls for us to try. I appreciate their kindness and constantly checking in on us.Lots of parking available out front and good amount of seating available for dining in.

This was my first time coming here, and it was DELICIOUS! The cashier was super nice and even gave me a free chicken shawarma eggroll to try. Btw, it was AMAZING! I'm definitely bringing my bf back here. He's going to love it!

The hype is absolutely real. Shawarma Guys is #1 for a reason, and it exceeded all my expectations.Every part of this meal was fantastic. We were greeted by the nice staff, which set a welcoming tone right from the start. The drink selection was impressive, featuring novelty sodas and a variety of alcoholic beverages to include Hard Arizona, which I had never even seen before. We were also offered a sample of their homemade gelato, which was an awesome surprise.The standout of my meal was the wagyu beef shawarma pita - an absolute 10/10. The meat was super juicy, the pickled vegetables inside were flavorful, and the pita was stuffed to perfection with quality ingredients, definitely worth the price.I honestly can't wait to come back and am excited to try the rest of the menu.Last but not least, special shoutout to Donovan for his outstanding service. He was kind enough to let us try their famous egg rolls and pita chips before our meal, and he even let us sample their gelato. Everything was excellent.Shawarma Guys truly deserves its top spot. Highly recommended!

I'm sorry to say my husband and I were extremely underwhelmed. I've gone to the South Park location off and on for a few years and I found what I ordered tasty. However today I got the blandest falafel wrap I've ever had. There was no flavor at all and the falafel on their own were greasy and lacking any flavor other than maybe a boiled potato.I don't eat meat so can't speak to the other items. Unfortunately I don't think I'd return, which I think is pretty tragic given my support in the past.

Ive been following Shawarma Guys food truck for the longest and was thrilled when I randomly drove by in my neighborhood and saw they had opened up a restaurant in La Mesa !! I quickly placed an order online and went to pick it up 10 minutes later--Upon arrival, I was greeted right away by the friendly cashiers . I let them know I was there was pick-up and they brought out my to-go plate ! They asked if I like pita chips as they were offering sample bags-- um, YESSSS please lol . The restaurant is clean and inviting with plenty of parking . Here's my food review--CHICKEN SHAWARMA AND WAGYU STEAK COMBO PLATE:The wagyu beef was so tender and flavorful-- it was giving me gyro vibes, but waygu steak ! WAGYU STEAK 10/10 . HIGHLY RECOMMEND .Chicken shawarma was tasty also, but a bit on the saltier side for me . It did pair really well with the delicious basmati rice and hummus . CHICKEN SHAWARMA 8/10 . Basmati rice was slightly turmerick-ey, warm, soft, and chewy . Hummus was sooo yummy . Taboulleh salad had lots of herbs and aromatics-- a lovely addition to each bite . The pita bread it came with was a bit chewier than what I'm used to, but still edible . I made little mini stuffed pita sandwiches and they were scrumptious .The PITA CHIPS sample bag they gave me was sooo fresh and crispy-- this went really well for dipping in the hummus . 9/10Overall, I really enjoyed my food !! I would totally come back to try the rest of their menu out . They also had cheesesteaks and loaded fries options on the menu that are literally calling my name RIGHT NOW .
