A hidden gem, almost speakeasy-esque! This little cart is located within the Nobel Executive Center, a non-descript office park near Nobel Drive and the 5 Freeway. It's near the back of the complex, and has a good amount of outdoor seating. I had the iced Americano and sweetened it. The espresso was made really well, which made this a great morning pick-me-up. The menu also has a number of non-coffee items as well, with pastries on display. The service was spectacular, with the staff making sure that we were happy with our drinks! Definitely try this place out, and don't let the location scare you

This place is a hidden gem! I was staying at the nearby Hyatt and stopped here for a quick breakfast. I had an açaí bowl and carmel macchiato. Both were delicious! I highly recommend if you're in the area.

7 AM people. That's how early this awesome stand opens up. And I highly suggest you make the effort to come here, especially if you have to be up at this ungodly hour like me (stupid adulting and work and stuff)). I can see what all the fuss is about. The owner Steven is a gem. He knows his stuff. I didn't have a chance to buy food or get an açai bowl (next time) but man, his espresso is so good. I was craving something more on the sweet side today for my anti-m*rdery juice needs, so I got myself a Tuxedo mocha with oat milk. Ugh it was so damn good. Such a smooth, liquidy pick-me-up. A truly hidden gem! Has great vibes and she is simply so sweet and pleasant! I will be visiting here a few times before leaving the area! The coffee was legit better than any of those big corps. Bold taste, smooth and hits the heart so good Thank you!!

This hidden place is the best option for a quiet coffee or lunch in UTC. In the middle of many big grocery stores and chain restaurants in the area is a gem to find a place that you can sit outside and drink your coffee while speaking with the owner (Michelle - a sweet heart). Shaka Java has different types of coffee, açaí bowls, smoothies, sandwiches, salads, muffins.. it's actually hard to decide what you wanna eat. The tables are all outside and the free WiFi makes it a nice work place!

Worth your detour! Great coffee! Very friendly barista & very knowledgeable when it comes to coffee! He's not making drinks to make drinks!

Best espresso I've had in San Diego. Hidden gem but worth checking it out. It's behind an office building in a courtyard type area (Bakertilly office building). I'm a coffee snob and use freshly roasted organic beans at home plus MCT... and I'm picky about only wanting froth/light foam from half and half NOT hot steamed milk dumped in which ruins the espresso. He nailed the bulletproof coffee perfectly and used fresh roasted beans (one week) ! Great prices too for espresso, yummy protein shake, and variety of nice snacks. Far superior to any chain coffee shops in the area. Whatever coffee or espresso you need to get day started - give this hidden gem a try!! Easy parking too!!
