Had lunch here with some friends last week! Lots of space, clean, and the staff is nice efficient. I ordered the bento box with bulgogi. It's A LOT of food! It's pricey but I think it worth it! I loved the banchan. Lots of options. You order on the iPad and don't forget to check in on Yelp for a free soda!I can't wait to go back!

This is a new location in Chinatown but this was disappointing. Firstly, the staff should be more mindful of how they approach customers. During our visit, a server felt the need to point out to my partner that it's a Korean restaurant, not Chinese, which was unnecessary. Of course we knew it was a Korean restaurant. Regarding the food, the Bibimbap served in the stone bowl wasn't as hot as expected and included unexpected ingredients like mushy and warm iceberg lettuce, which isn't typical for dolsot Bibimbap. I've never had it in dolsot Bibimbap and never want it again. The stone bowl was more like a "lukewarm plate" and I will not return for this. Bibimpbap is one of my favorite meals and this totally was a bomb here. As an aside, my aunt requested hot water to make nurungji (rice porridge), the staff seemed completely unfamiliar with this basic Korean dish. It's like congee. Just to frame your expectations regarding the environment and the service. You won't get people versed in Korean culture or food. There were good things. The rice quality was quite high and the soon dubu was high quality. I hope they work on their bibimbap.i

The food tastes amazing and tasty! My go-to dish is definitely the soon du bu. It warms me up on a cold day and gives a kick of spice for the taste. The side dishes add a touch of variety and seem fresh every time we go. The service was nice. There were no issues with our orders, and they checked on us whenever they were free. Very appreciative of them! The ambiance was simple and clean. They have tablets that you can order from so that was a nice touch to the place. Would definitely come here again!

This SGD pales a bit in comparison to the one in the suburbs that I frequent. The portions seemed a bit smaller and the food tasted quite bland. Overall it's still fine to come here to get a quick Korean food fix. The banchan dishes were solid and they give refills on those. Service was decent and they validate your Chinatown garage parking for $2.

We got the beef soondubu with kalguksu. 2 extra rice bowl. Yes we eat noodle and rice- it was very filling. The flavors are pretty good and the banchan is also pretty good. 1 order with 2 rice bowls was definitely enough for a small-to-average eater. Unless your goal is to have leftovers at home. Each item is pretty expensive. They are on average 17-26 bucks. They give a lot, but now if we have limited budget we can't get more variety! I mean a plate of galbi is $31, yikes. The menu is in english but korean language. There are pictures. But I feel like if you're not familiar with korean food, you'd struggle a little choosing what to get.

This is the fourth time I came here. Love their tofu ramen seafood soup. My boyfriend love their bento box especially the beef. It's well season and great in portion. Their menu is big enough for you to choose. Love their seafood pancake with that sweet soy sauce. The food comes out quick and the employee is very nice. Oh and the side dishes....yum! You can have them refill the dishes. Street parking. Would recommend friend and family to come try.

First time ordering from So Gong Dong and it won't be the last! Ordered the Bibimbap with beef (hot stone), and the Beef Bulgogi Bento Box. Veggies were fresh and the bibimbap had a ton of flavor on its own without adding sauce. The Bento box was truly fantastic - a fried dumpling, egg roll, as well as shrimp tempura. Beef was full of all the right spice and rice and onion complimented it nicely. Worth the $.It might be a small thing but the chopsticks they include were actually nice as opposed to most places that don't put much effort into it. 5 stars, without a doubt, and will be making future orders. SDG is doing everything right!

This is a dairly new korean restaurant in Chinatown. I was excited to try it out knowing this is one of the good chain korean restaurant, but I was pretty disappointed with the quality and flavor. We order the short ribs which was pretty overpriced for the portion, the flavor was quiet bland unlike the korean short ribs I've had at other korean restaurant. The seafood soup was decent and we shared it among 4 people. My mom loved the one of the banchan and wanted to ask for more since they're "complimentary" but the waitress was very relectant to give us more. Overall we were not satisfied and wanted to go somewhere else for more food after the meal...

The food is mediocre, prices are way too high, and service is lacking. My husband and I came in around lunchtime on a Sunday. It wasn't crowded, so we were seated immediately. Our waiter looked miserable and barely smiled in greeting us. We didn't pay much attention to it because you don't interact with your waiter to order here anyway; you order through tablets at each table. We ordered the seafood pancake, dolsot bibimbap, and the galbi. The seafood pancake was limp and soggy. I would give it a 1/5. The bibimbap was fine. And the galbi was pretty good flavor-wise. But $30 plus tax and tip just for the galbi dish is not worth it. It came with 9 pieces. You could go to an all you can eat kbbq with $30... When we were done eating, a different waitress came to process our bill on an ipad. She was really rude and rushed us as we tried to get Apple Pay to work (there's a phone service dead spot in Chinatown, and they didn't have guest wifi). It made the conclusion to our meal very unpleasant. I know this place is relatively new, but I'm not surprised things weren't very busy here.
