This place has one of my favorite dishes. Salt and Pepper Shrimp. If you have never tried this and enjoy Jalapenos, garlic and sometimes onions and carrots. The best. This place nailed it on this item. Fantastic full of flavor and a decent portion. When I don't want to cook. I know who I can trust with this dish. This place also, has lunch specials with a great price. Winner Winner Shrimp Dinner! Keep up the great work.

Ordered takeout. Lunch special of spicy honey chicken and kung pao shrimp. Food lacked flavor across the board down to the sweet and sour sauce that comes with the wontons. Really disappointed and typically even "bad" Chinese food is still good. This just....tasted old and bland. Staff was friendly. Good was ready quickly. But unfortunately I will have to find a different Chinese food place in carefree...

Service was excellent. Place was very clean. Food was below average, hot but had no flavor. Surprised this place is still around.

There are so many negatives about the awful food and I thought it was excellent, no complaints on any of my choices. Yesterday I ordered take-out egg rolls, crab rangoons, and Pad Thai. I did not experience much service as I did not eat in but I might try it. This was the first time getting food from Sesame Inn and I will get food from there again.

Came here cause my best friend said it was the best Chinese food in town. They have incredible lunch combinations where you get your meat, fried rice, egg roll, 2 wontons and either salad or soup for only $12! I got the sweet and sour pork and it was actually really good. My daughter got the chicken chow mein but didn't touch any of it at the restaurant so we took it home and heated it up 2 days later and it was not good at all. I ended up throwing it away after heating up the leftovers because it was questionable if it was still good. I wouldn't say this is the best Chinese place in town but it's decent if you're already in the area. Our server was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed.

Awful food, I would not recommend at all. Do not risk it. The Mongolian beef doesn't even look right. We ordered Thai tea and it wasn't made correctly and not sure how you can mess that up. The soup was the only decent thing but I got sick from it. Even one of our fortune cookies didn't have a fortune in it. I will not go back.

The restaurant is open for indoor dining. There is a large sign posting it so I'm assuming it wasn't always. I was seated immediately and given the menu. My beverage was brought before I ordered, since I took my time deciding. There are not any plates with a lot of vegetables for lunch and most all dishes the meat was deep fried. I ordered the orange beef combination. It came with soup or salad. I truly enjoyed the soup. The plate came with two deep fried wontons, an egg roll, fried rice and the meat. The rice could have used more flavoring and the meat was breaded and very petite so you really were eating mostly breading. I will give it another try but definitely will order something else

Not sure why there are a lot of bad reviews but from my own personal experience it has always been great. i think it all comes down in knowing what to order so i'm going to tell you now, for appetizers you can't go wrong with SIZZLING RICE SOUP, PORK STRIPS WITH STEAM ROLLS, or MINCED CHICKEN IN LETTUCE WRAP. those appetizers are always so delicious. one of my favorite entrees is the spicy fried rice and the broccoli and shrimp in white garlic sauce. If you decide to check this place out, you will not be disappointed if you order these. service was great and it was fairly quiet on a Sunday before 5pm, it gets more busy after that. the booths feel cozy.

Not worth it. Poor food. Over priced. Not even close to Chinese. The beer was good. I've come to the conclusion that..... there are no good Chinese food restaurants in Arizona.

I should have known better. When you enter a restaurant these days and the sign on the door says "No Checks, no exceptions", you would think to yourself is this the 80's and I was just transported back? I digress...Location was OK, but it's right next door to a "Cigar Lounge". So unless if you enjoy the pungent smell of Cigars, getting in and out of the restaurant can be somewhat unpleasant.Inside of the place is nice and looks modern and decorated well. They have a private room that seem to seat 10-12 people. Tables were nice and clean and silverware and linens were all nicely set. The Microwave oven at the bar threw me off though. I don't get that one.Food variety is good and you can find just about anything that you may like in a Chinese restaurant. They brought us hot tea which is very unusual and traditional (maybe that explain the No Checks sign). Tea was good but had a really bad aftertaste of stale tap water. It's one of those things. You drink it and it tastes good and after you swallow, you squint your eyes and ask yourself, what am I tasting in this tea?Food quality was pretty weak. It was Chinese inspired food. The sauce was not as tasty, meats were tasteless and overall food quality was below average. About 30 minutes after we ate, I started feeling it... I can't confirm this, but this was the same feeling that I used to get when there was a lot of MSG in my food in the past. Both my wife and I started feeling sleepy and somewhat unbalanced. Again, I don't know if they use MSG and if so, how much, but the feeling was not something that I recommend for anyone to experience.Lastly, the bill came. It was hand written on a green/white diner style pad of papers. Prices were hand written and tax & total were tabulated by a calculator it seems, hand written on the bill. So no automated POS system or computerized method of modern restaurant, like splitting the bill, contactless payment, etc. Again, "No Checks" sign might explain this whole thing.I wish them all the best as we really need a good Chinese restaurant in this area. They maybe a Chinese restaurant, but not a good Chinese restaurant in my opinion.
