Their barn in chelan is of course my fav, but living in western wa I'm glad there are events we can go to as club members on this side of the mountains as well. We find Cairdeas to be consistent with quality releases without completely breaking the bank. My recommendations are the Tri, Concrete Syrah, and the Nellie Mae."

Tom B. "There are a ton of wineries around here, which you probably already know. This isn't so much a 5-star review for party atmosphere as it is a 5-star review for the quality of the wine itself. This is a big strip mall completely filled with wine and food places. The parking can be a pain. You might want to Uber or book a tour, anyway, depending on how many wines you're sampling today. But if you score a parking spot in this lot, count yourself lucky. Lachini has a small tasting room with one big table, some mixed seating here and there, and some wicker furniture on the sidewalk. The wine is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. We tried several years of the pinot noir, and it's easy to see why people flip over the good pinots when you try Lachini's. The vintages vary quite a bit, and even the best vintages can be quite different (good in different ways). We also tried the sparkling rose, which was excellent. That's not a style I usually go for, but theirs is balanced and easy to get into but keeps being interesting all the way through. They obviously have piles of wine available to go, and will happily hook you up with a wine club membership as of this writing. Only comment I would make is that one of the staff was wearing a lot of cologne; usually in a setting where you really want to zero in on the wine's aromatics that's a no-no, but this is also a fun place to hang out and bend an elbow, not a competition judging panel. So I guess don't worry about that too much."

Courtney L. "Two friends and I booked a reservation for a Saturday at noon on the patio. Since the weather turned out to be cloudy, there weren't many customers sitting outside. Normally, tables are reserved for up to 90 minutes, but since the patio wasn't full, they kindly let us sit there and catch up with each other for a few hours. The studio offers two different tastings - the Reader's Tasting ($15) and Luxury Tasting ($25). Each one comes with five wines. Our server explained that the wines in the Reader's set can be found in retailers, whereas I believe the ones in the Luxury set are their reserve wines. I got the Luxury tasting which came with two white wines and three red wines. It started off with 100% Chardonnay and ended with 100% Syrah. While I'm not a wine aficionado, I enjoyed trying the variety and did my best to detect the flavors as described on the menu. Their food options were pretty slim and we ordered three of their snack items to share. Contrary to earlier Yelp reviews, they no longer allow you to bring outside food in. + Parmesan Crisps ($6): These were prepackaged from the vendor, Joyful Bakery. They were thin, salty and nice to munch on.+ Hummus & Pita Bread ($6): Triangles of lightly toasted pita bread and some crackers came served alongside a small cup of red pepper hummus. The cup of hummus was tiny, so you could only spread a super thin layer on the bread. I thought it would have come with at least a small bowl of it.+ Patio "Picknick" ($15): This snack kit included Calabrese salami, provolone cheese, olives, fig jam and four small packs of crackers. I enjoyed the salami and cheese, but this item seemed pretty overpriced for what you get. The service was great! Our server poured each sample one at a time rather than in a "flight" style all at once. I could tell he was really passionate about wine as he energetically described each one. There were only two servers for all guests, so they had to constantly monitor all the tables outside and inside to judge when each person was ready for their next pour. The patio is perfect for sunny days as they have tables with umbrellas and also a tent with about six tables if you want some extra shade. Additionally, there is plenty of parking unlike some of the other wine spots in the area. My friends and I had a nice time here enjoying a little wine, each other's company and the springtime weather."

We have been coming since the summer time and have brought so many visitors to experience Rooted Souls because it's the best. They have an amazing membership program! I'm a Rosè lover and their unique varieties are to die for. They have an amazing sparkling Rosè that I can never get enough of. I also love how the owners are always in the tasting room and chatting up with everyone. Can we also talk about the labeling? So cute! They are conveniently located in the Winslow Mall in central Bainbridge. Walking distance from the ferry and lots of parking nearby as well. My friends and I opted to sit at an outside table and customize our flights of four wines. The woman who served the wines was funny and personable and really made for an enjoyable experience. I opted for the Goldfinch White Blend (unoaked Chardonnay and Viognier), the Sauvignon Blanc, the Homme Nu Super Tuscan blend (Sangiovese and Cab Sauv), and the Syrah. I loved each one and ended up purchasing 9 bottles that day. My friends enjoyed their wines so much that they joined the wine club. I'm already a member of another club but am considering joining this one as well.I'm really looking forward to returning to try more wines and highly recommend a visit the next time you're in Bainbridge."

Kasia is friendly and the service is great, plus she's the one that makes it! We could have stayed there all day. I moved back to the PNW after being gone for 20yrs and it seems as though people don't like writing reviews either bc they don't care or don't want others to invade "their local hangout" which is too bad bc all you are doing is hurting the business by not giving a review for others to see. We sat outside at a table on the covered patio on a warm sunny afternoon and it was so nice. Our tasting experience started with an order of margherita pizza and a cheese plate to share. Both were tasty and a good complement to the wines. The wines we tried were all delicious and we appreciated the detailed descriptions provided of each by our server Taylor. She is quick to tell you all the details about the wines they sell and are pouring during their daily tastings. Stop by anytime Tuesday -Saturday for a very reasonable 5$ tasting, or a cheese and antipasto plate (or both). They also serve wines by the glass that range in price but are all extremely affordable. This is a great place to spend an hour (or three) any given afternoon chatting and sipping it up. The owners are awesome - super nice people who will really work hard to find the right wine for your taste profile and budget. The store is small and packed with a great selection, and during COVID, they are taking appointment for in person shopping on Mondays, which is like having a personal session with a wine expert. Otherwise, they have a walk up window where you can chat away and discuss your wine needs. While they specialize in European wines, with a deeper selection of French and some Italians, I have also picked up some great PNW wines as well. Overall, it's my go to wine shop in Seattle now where I can pick up some unique wines that are fairly priced and with a personalized level of service of a great small business."

Debbie P. "I've bookmarked Lantern Brewing to try months ago and just this past weekend I've finally made it in. It's right off Aurora, and it's pretty unassuming, located in a neighborhood, it would be pretty easy to miss. The interior is a pretty large space, and they have food trucks on-site, you will need to check the website as to the rotations. This past Saturday evening, it was Cycle Dogs (Hot dogs, which go perfect with beer). On days that there are no food trucks, you can bring in outside food. It appears this used to be a car garage, they have the ginoromous doors for it, and during the warm months, those doors would open up to allow for more breezes. There were numerous spaces throughout, you can have a seat at the bar, or opt for the picnic table settings, or just a regular table seating. There were board games as you enter to your left, and a foosball table, too. They are kid and dog friendly. And if you want to rent out the space, you can! So, enough about the interior, let's have a chat about the beer. We opted for all 10 beer tastings for $13, a total bargain! Plus, I wanted to try what they offer. What they offer is more along the lines of Belgium style beer. A bit lighter, not really IPA-centered, but that doesn't mean they don't have IPAs, they do, it's just not their focus. On their current tap menu is the Alpenglow: collaboration with NW peaks, Triple IPA with juicy hop aroma, apricot and pineapple flavor notes, a definite must! Of the 10 tastings, this was my favorite. While we were there, our tap-master was Nate, a super cool, ex-bike mechanic dude. Of course, he and my hubby know a lot of the same people in the industry, so we were there for a while enjoying beer and conversation. Overall, I would definitely place Lantern Brewing on my top 10 breweries in Seattle."

Pace is definitely a nice place to relax with a few glasses of wine and snacks or a meal. It's an old warehouse type space--high ceilings, long, narrow single room. Light wooden floors, brick walls. Lots of highboy seating around 4-top tables, a couple couches. When the weather's nice, it looks like their back deck is probably amazing. They can probably get a decent breeze through here when needed, too. All this with some mellow downtempo coming from somewhere makes for a very welcoming place to relax.Seating is first-come, first-sat. There's a short wine list (1 white and 4 reds pouring yesterday). You can pick a flight of 3, and it's complimentary if you take a bottle home. The menu is interesting--focused on classic dishes done well. Not a huge long list of choices, but they all certainly sit right in my wheelhouse. We had a charcuterie plate--2 decent salamis and 3 great cheeses, along with some jam, arugula, toasted bread, and rad raw honey. Honeycomb still sitting in it, in all its peppery-sweet waxy goodness. The Whatcom White with Peppercorn is a crazy good cheese. We also got the bone marrow, which comes with roasted garlic, mushrooms, demiglace, and more toasty bread. This marrow gives just about any place I can think of a run for its marrow money. The crowd filled up pretty quickly in the late afternoon. Couples hanging out, groups of friends, groups of moms, a couple family groups. The owner and his grandson greeted people, while mom and dad and a few others worked the bar. One girl scout and her mom came in to sling cookies. Some people were definitely dressed up a little bit to go out, and it all had a very friendly community watering hole vibe. We tried all the wines; the sauv blanc was a little on the subdued side, as was the tempranillo. The syrah had good flavors and a big body to it, seemed like a good steak wine. The rhone blend and bordeaux blend both had awesome flavor profiles with lighter, more-sippable body to them, and we took home 2 bottles of the bordeaux. I'd really love to come back with more appetite and check out the entrees. The appetizers made it very clear that this kitchen knows what it's doing, and based on the descriptions (and recommendations from friends), I'm sure the full dinners are just great. The service stays right on point throughout--it kinda looks like their whole focus is on being a tasting room, but once you sit down and interact with the staff you know right away that the restaurant service is good. Definitely recommend this place."
