"Okay, 1. So thrilled to be the first reviewer 2. O-M-G! And I don't normally say that, haha. This waffle was a straight-up game-changer! Never have I ever had something so perfectly decadent and satisfying! Wow, this treat was so next-level I could never forget it. Everyone this is a must-go spot for a sugary fix. Hit them up, they're the best!"
"Some good fried chicken and a good chicken sandwich can be had at this small and nondescript family run place. The owners work here and are very nice. The space is small but clean. Service is attentive. The food was good. There has been much written about this being the best chicken sandwich in Seattle. Nah. It's good, but mine formed a puddle of grease in the five minutes that it sat before I ate it. Greasy to the point that the bread of the bun became soaked in grease. Taste was good, but not a "wow. that's amazing" kind of good. Just "that's good" and nothing more. Fried chicken was okay. Nothing to write home about. And the leftovers didn't get eaten at our place. That's not a good sign. Leftover, cold fried chicken is always popular here. This wasn't.I'd consider this place if I was in the area and hungry for chicken. But I'd probably check out some of the other small restaurants (including fried chicken ones) in the area first."

There is seating inside or can take the food to go. You can also grab frozen waffles to eat at home whenever! The kids loved the sweet waffles and yummy toppings. We look forward to going back often. If you are in the area, this is a great place to grab some breakfast on the weekends. :)Plus just around the corner is a picture-perfect view of the mountain. What a great way to top off a tasty breakfast."
"On a very snowy afternoon, we ventured out to Haywire Brewing in Snohomish to get a Christmas tree. It was freezing but a nice day. After we were done, we walked up the driveway more towards the brewery. It was their 6th anniversary and really, really packed. But because of the special occasion, they had a couple food trucks, one being Avery's Chicken & Waffles. Let me tell you, this was amazing. I wasn't prepared for how big these sandwiches were going to be! I got one with Garlic Lemon Pepper and honey mustard, while my husband got Sweet Heat. When we were handing our sandwiches, they had some weight to them. I opened my box to see the sandwich filled the whole thing! Already worth the price in portion size alone. These sandwiches though... so good. I'm not positive if the chicken is homemade but it sure seems like it. The breading had great flavor and the sauces were so good. They definitely turned into two meals for the both of us.The owners were really nice! The woman taking orders told me about how the garlic lemon pepper flavor was more of a dry seasoning than a sauce and asked if I wanted to try their homemade honey mustard or ranch. The flavors together were so good and I'm really excited to try the ranch next time we're able to stop by. This is a new truck so give them a go if you see them, you won't be disappointed! Really looking forward to trying their namesake next time we go too!"
"Visiting from out of town, there's a metric ton of small coffee shops on the outskirts of Seattle, but this location caught our eye (mainly because it was close to our Airbnb) & I'm glad that it did.Ordered the a couple of drinks & couple of food items & they all came out within 10 minutes. The food in particular was especially good.Egg & cheese croissant - think they used extra large croissants because it was a lot bigger than expected. Recommend ordering it with ham &/or bacon (adding meat cost an extra dollar) and it can easily be shared by 2 people.Salmon bagel - very juicy & flavorful. Came with everything you'd expect from a great lox bagel (capers, onions, a healthy dose of cream cheese, good portion of salmon). A little pricy but well worth it."
"I came here after dining next door and got the grapefruit fruit tea with boba and the bubble waffle for dessert. The line was almost out of the door, and though there were many people, the service was slow, which caused the line to back up. The ambiance was very casual, with minimal decoration but with a decent amount of seating. Unfortunately, it took so long that the seating filled up, and I didn't want to sit in anymore. I ended up eating it off the property instead. The bubble waffles and the tea were good, but this slow service prevented me from returning."
"Cute boba and bubble waffle shop. I just stopped by for boba and was pleased with the rose milk tea. They have a screen set up for e-orders and service was fast. Limited seating available inside. The place is really cute and there is ample parking in the front."
"The jerk chicken is good and spicy. I'd order it again. We did not like the texture of the waffle. It reminded me of an almond flour waffle."
"I like going to Happy Lemon for its consistent quality. While Happy Lemon is known for their fruit milk teas with the cheese foam, this plant-based boy stuck with a classic milk tea with soy milk. The non-dairy milk option wasn't immediately clear but asking helped clear up this expectation. Drink was as expected - refreshing, not too sugary nor creamy, but just enough to scratch my boba itch.Location is at its peak here at SLU. I loved being surrounded by modern skyscrapers with a small park to relax in while sipping on boba. It felt like we were living far into the future."
"The reviews don't lie. This is an awesome coffee shop that also churns out some of the best latte art I've ever seen (if not the best). I tried a horchata latte, and it was fantastic (both in looks and taste). There was plenty of seating when we visited, as they have two small rooms as well as part of the Moore hotel lobby. They also have bathrooms - be sure to ask the baristas for the code!"
"I had the el churro smoothie and it was flavorful, the protein used is plant based which I prefer. The space is pretty big but the windows make it really open and inviting. The owner was nice and set me up with a punch card. I would come back especially after a workout."

Finally! A good ice cream place in the area! Of course I forgot to take a picture of the ice cream we got, but we ended up getting the Campfire S'mores nitrogen ice cream. It was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately they had just run out of waffles when we got there. But that just means I have to go back again! I'm also really anxious to try the crepes. It smells absolutely delicious when you walk in there, and you will not have a hard time with options. In fact, the only hard time you'll end up having is deciding what to get!

I tried this place because I had read a review naming it one of the "top chicken sandwiches in Seattle". Once I checked the yelp reviews and noticed the proximity to my office, I was good to go. This place offers the best chicken sandwich I have ever eaten, good parking, and great baked beans. The juiciest breaded chicken sandwich I have ever ordered. Kind of like broiled/grilled chicken (but more juicy), with a crispy coating. This sandwich is delicious, flavorful (even without cheese), full of chicken and fairly-priced. The bread was lightly-buttered and fresh and chewy and the sandwich came with a huge juicy piece of chicken, mayonnaise and a pickle. Very clean and neat small diner-type establishment. I especially liked that it was a local family-run restaurant. Best of all, it is only 3 miles from my office on 4th and Michigan (about). There are only 6-9 tables, so I would suggest taking it to go or ordering it from Uber eats if you can. I wish they had cheese, lettuce, and tomato and my co-worker wished they had a spicy version; still, for the price, there is no better chicken sandwich in Seattle. I tried the baked beans side and it was delicious. Next time I will try more sides.

Wow. Such a delight. I think this place must be brand new because I can't believe there isn't a line around the block for these waffles. We got some things to share and everything was so good. I thought the Monte Cristo might be weird with the sweet waffle but it's amazing and a perfect salty/sweet balance. The lemon curd was so delicious and not too sweet, which I was worried about. Service was so quick and friendly. I can't wait to come back whenever I'm in town.

CHICKEN AND WAFFLES HANDS DOWN! If they are parked in front of the Haywire, there Amber ale compliments it very well.

Coffee was fine, service was...awkward? I walked in, it was very quiet, and there were three guys standing behind the counter just kind of staring. It made me nervous to where I didn't read the menu thoroughly enough to find drip coffee, so I ended up ordering an Americano with - get this - two shots of espresso added, where my husband thought I had ordered drip coffee with the shots. Nope, my socially anxious ass ordered espresso with shots of espresso. I felt like an idiot for the rest of the day. Can't completely blame the awkwardness on the baristas as it's pretty clear I'm rather awkward myself, but it's never easy to do anything when you're just kind of being stared at.

Melody Boba House has an array of different sweet treats other than boba/milk/fruit tea, such as shaved ice, soft serve ice cream, bubble waffles, macarons, and cake. I only ordered the Original Milk Tea. It was good, nothing spectacular about it, but if I am in the area again and in the mood for something sweet, I will stop by. It is located in a plaza with other businesses in it with free parking. It's also attached to Seoul Tofu House, but to get to it you need to enter an exterior door to get to it. So, it's separate from Seoul Tofu House.

Cute spot. Convenient to have next to Southgate Market. It gets crowded during the warmer months and the parking lot is packed.

Visit Restaurant Page"I happened to be in the neighbor on my way home when I saw Luu's Cafe. I ordered ahead and circled a few times trying to find parking. There is limited street parking and a huge Wells Fargo parking lot that was mostly empty around back, but I didn't want to risk it. I had to walk a bit which was okay with me. I knew from passing the storefront that there was a spirited gaggle of kids and parents outside the shop. Most were socializing (it was after school and spirits were high), and some were waiting for orders. I pressed on through the throng and stood in a shorter line than I expected. The inside of Luu's is small with limited seating. There is space enough for the line. However, the line moved slowly. I wish there was a line for pick-up orders only. I appreciated the signs about Luu's commitment to fresh boba, to the community, and to the people of the Ukraine. I love the small town, community vibe here. My food was ready when I got to the front to pay. Hightailed it out the door to battle traffic and eat my banh mi while heading home. It's been hard to find a shop that tops my favorite bbq pork banh mi in Boise. This one was unfortunately more bread than ingredients BUT the bread was delightfully flakey on the outside, soft and airy on the inside. Aside from the bread-to-ingredient ratio being a bit skewed, the sandwich was delicious and I liked the fact that they put two thin spears of jalapeño on the side. The bubble tea was very good. You know, after drinking so many artificially flavored bobas from various mixes, it's a little shocking to taste fresh boba from high quality ingredients. I want to return (hopefully on a day that isn't so busy) to try a few more flavors."
"The Waffle Stop is a great place for a breakfast, and wont break the bank. The service is very friendly, and fast.We tried the Cookie Butter and Bacon Waffle($13), while we shared a French Press Coffee for two ($7).It was the perfect way to start our day!"
"Bubble waffles and drinks are yummy and consistent. Service is spotty and they are not cheer-y like the competitors in the area. They are pretty quick and efficient to make your drinks though. I always find myself here when visiting the parentals in the hood. Parking here is not bad, sometimes you get crazy Asian drivers that think they own the lot and drive on your side, then look at you weird for not moving out of the way for them, bc of course the world revolves around them, ughhh! I can't stand Asian people, that's bc sometimes I can't stand myself too lol!!"
"I flippin love Happy Lemon! This location is clean (minus the super sticky floor), welcoming, and offers a handful of tables to sit inside. We each ordered a tea and bubble waffle to-go and they were ready within about 5-6 minutes. I am obsessed with their waffle texture and for me the plain offers plenty of sweetness without a dipping sauce. I will certainly be stopping here more frequently when I'm heading to and from Enumclaw."
"I only got the Ube (taro) and Matcha waffles today. Both waffles were really squishy -- that is, the iron was not hot enough. There's no pop, no crisp. Having these as a kid, I loved the crispy bits. The waffles come in white paper containers. This makes sense for any of their more complicated waffles. But for the very basic stuff, a brown paper bag would have been better. Specifically, a brown paper bag with some holes in it to vent out all the hot air and steam. Instead, with the white paper container, all the moisture gets trapped in. Now my squishy waffles have become moist waffles. Nobody wants that. As for the flavor... they were decent. The matcha was on, but the Ube got mixed reviews from my friends. I thought it wasn't taro-y enough, while other people liked it but they also thought it was just plain. Your mileage may vary.Bottom line... I wouldn't come back unless there's already a big line to get that iron red hot."
"drinks were okay. friendly service. they use the sugary syrup and not fresh fruits so you choose your pick. the sea salt creme jasmine green tea was okay too. i could taste the tea flavor but felt lacking in richness of the salt creme foam. $6-7/drink."
"Monte Croffle $12: This was my pick, and I'm happy I tried it but would get something else next time. I believe the bop aioli has mustard which I thought was a weird combo to go with strawberry jam. But I think without it the sandwich would be a bit too sweet for my liking. Morning Hamwich $13: This was my partner's pick and I liked it a lot more! Loved the included pickled onion, and thought the croffle was able to shine here more compared to being overpowered by jam in the other sandwich. Hash Browns $4.65: I couldn't resist because it's hash browns made in a waffle maker! I wasn't as blown away by the texture as I thought I'd be. And taste was OK. Not a must for me every time, but yes if I really want hash browns. Overall, a cute little spot for a small but filling breakfast/brunch. The only downside is I don't like finding street parking. *****My Star Ratings: 1 Star - Terrible. Just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars - Meh. Unlikely for me to return. 3 Stars - OK. Open to coming back, but wouldn't go out of my way to. 4 Stars - Yummy! Will definitely return if I haven't already. 5 Stars - AMAZING!!! Would plan my day or even a trip around eating here."
"Café Haslla is a cute savory and sweets café in First Hill. For food items, they serve waffles topped with sweets or with savories. For a cold treat, they serve a variety of bingsu (Korean style shaved snow). And they serve a variety of beverages, both hot and cold. The café is plenty big enough with seats. It is not limited to grab-and-go only. The interior is clean and modern. Several tables were jiggly and needs some adjustments. Otherwise, I thought the interior serves its purpose. We ordered at the counter with a nice young lady, then we pick up our food at the counter also. The Food:Chicken Mozzarella Waffle, $6.95 - 4 StarsWe were pleasantly surprised when they asked if we want chips or salad with that. The salad had an amazingly delicious salad dressing. (I think it's Asian sesame but what brand???) The waffle is a big-snack size or small-lunch size. If you have a smaller appetite, I think this is a great little meal. The chicken was a good size, white meat piece.Red Bean Mania Bingsu, $7.95 - 4 StarsThis is the first place I know that is selling what I consider to be a personal size bingsu, vs. the more common bowl size. Served in a beverage cup, the red bean mania has red bean, soy bean powder, and vanilla ice cream. The texture maintains a snow consistency with just a touch of creaminess from the ice cream. It is packed in a bit denser than other bingsus I have had. A bit fluffier would be good. The sweetness is at East Asian standards, which is very good in my book. It was quite cold eating it in November, but we still enjoyed every bite."
"Happy Lemon has solid milk tea options - plusBubble waffles! Cute branding and storefront at u village. Ordering was easy and staff were really cranking out everyone's orders. We didn't have to wait too long even though it was fairly busy. With their beverages, you can customize ice and sweetness levels which is much appreciated. I got the classic milk tea with boba at 30% sweetness and was happy with it. The chocolate bubble waffle was good too. Worth a stop if you're in the area and need a treat!"
"I love that Happy Lemon has opened in Westwood Village. Are they the best bubble tea out there? No. Do I generally love chain stores? Nope. But HL at Westwood satisfies some needs. This shopping center needs quality shops to stay afloat, and while it's a chain, there is some value to that, namely an app for ordering and collecting points for free items, two things I like. It's also a pretty quality chain. There are definitely good drinks on the menu, and if given the choice between HL and a certain famous beverage chain that happens to be nearby, I am going HL. Service has been fine, especially once they got rolling (they were a bit slow the first month or so). The shop is cute and clean. My drink picks: milk tea with pudding, boba and lychee jelly, strawberry green tea with salted cheese."
"Croffles on a stick! Croissant waffles have gotten pretty trendy in recent years and this is a lollipop version. Honestly the stick doesn't add much, it's definitely unique and helps this variation stand out but the overall croffle is no different. Loli Waffle is located in Chamei Matcha in Bellevue Square Mall and serves up large croffles or a trio set of mini croffles. I'd say the trio is the best value here, for two more dollars you get two more flavors to try and also share, making you the favorite child or friend. Their convenient location also means easy parking and plenty of options for dinner, drinks, and shopping. The croffle itself is standard with a caramelized sugar coating on top of a buttery croissant base, pressed into a crunchy texture. Their eight flavors are original, strawberries and cream, matcha, caramel apple cinnamon, black sesame, cookies and cream, dark chocolate truffle, and ube."
"For an early lunch Wednesday 5 July 2023, I called in to Bacon Breakfast Cafe and placed an order for a half stack of bacon pancakes (3 pancakes) with syrup. Placing the order was straightforward and it was ready for pick up in about five minutes. I paid when picking up my order and was on my way. The workers I interacted with in-person and over the phone were friendly. Other patrons there at the same time were mindful.Packaging and supplies as part of the to-go order were neat and plentiful. In addition to the three bacon pancakes in their to-go box, the box held a handful of smaller containers filled with syrup. Also in the eco-bag was a package containing utensils and a napkin as well as a number of containers of butter. The pancakes were warm, fluffy, and tasty. The bacon was well cooked and distributed throughout each pancake. I found I enjoyed the syrup as a topping. The serving size was just right."
"I've been meaning to try Sweet Notes out since it opened, but alas, they close early and I haven't made it in until now. During a very long day at work, I decided to snag myself a portobello sandwich for lunch. I opted to order online so I could just run in and bring it back to my desk. My order was ready by the time I got there (~15min) and I was sent on my merry way.One thing I noticed was they didn't ask about salad dressing when I was placing my online order. I figured I have some in the fridge so it doesn't really matter. They gave me a balsamic vinaigrette, and I very generous portion at that! The sandwich was lovely - plenty of veggies on a really good, lightly toasted bread. I found the sandwich to be super filling, so I basically got a large lunch and a salad for snacking later for $18. Not a terrible deal. I really like the fact that there was no iceberg lettuce to be found! I'd absolutely eat another one of the portobello sandwiches and there are several other items on the menu I'd like to try! Great addition to the neighborhood!"
"yes. Yes. YES! We've been waiting to try BeanFish out ever since we discovered it a year or so ago, when it was sadly closed at the time. And despite having passed through Seattle multiple times since then, and as a trip to Uwajimaya on the way home is basically a requirement, our last few visits to the Emerald City ended up being past closing time, so we've missed out and been jonesing to try BeanFish several times. Finally, we managed to make it on time, this last weekend.Verdict: hell yeah! Tasty taiyaki treats are truly terrific! I had the K-Pop (kimchi, korean kalbi beef and pepper jack cheese), while my wife had the Big Kahuna (Spam, Japanese 7-Spice, pineapple pepper jack), both of which were exactly what we were looking for. And although mine was a little smaller than hers, she ended up being unable to finish the massive thing, and passed the savings onto me!Obviously we tend to prefer savory over sweet, but there were a couple that definitely would have tempted us, had this not been planned as our evening meal, and we both were stuffed by the end of it. Regardless, we have a new Uwaji's food court favorite, and it will be hard for us to choose otherwise during our next visit to our favorite grocery store!"
