This is my second time having UnderGround Kitchen, and both times exceeded expectations! For this second visit I went during a Friday night, which does get pretty busy since parking around the area can get filled very quickly. You might first get confused where the entrance is since it's right next to Shin Sung Restaurant to its left.Waiters were very attentive and provided very quick service when my friend and I got into the door and when ordering our food. Atmosphere felt very relaxed and music wasn't too loud.I got the half & half fried chicken, one half being regular fried chicken and the other being yangyum chicken, which was mildly spicy and also sweet. This paired very well with their japchae (stir fried glass) noodles on the side, even if they were both relatively savory. This is a place you have to go to more than once to try their stuff, and even then you still have to go back to have those same things because they're well done!

This is your place for KFC (Korean fried chicken). Good late night kfc place, but also good for other 안주 Anju/bar food. (Haven't had anything terrible here, including sweet potato fries.) Coworkers and I came here for 3 bottles of soju and it's just the vibe to sit, drink, and chill. (Soju would be cheaper by the bottle if you went to Hmart, but again, you pay for experience.)Sometimes it gets super busy and you have to wait.Shares a kitchen with Shinsung, but the entrance is left of the Shinsung entrance and you go downstairs to a dimly lit restaurant. Very much similar to bar vibes in South Korea.

I recommend this place. It's a little loud but the food is pretty solid. They get really busy but for good reason. Service is quick. I highly recommend the chicken. It's finger licking good!

UnderGround Kitchen gives many Korean Fried Chicken franchises a run for their money. My friends and I love coming here for late night cravings. Matter of fact, I love this place so much that after 6 months of extremely hard dieting for bodybuilding prep, this was the first place I went to right after my competition. The ambiance is loud (in a good way), hip and trendy, the food is delicious and the drinks are a must get! The vibes were incredible and cannot be beat. Wait till you see their portions! Although the portions are huge, after demolishing the food in front of me, I don't feel too full and disgusting. I really like that the staff are nice and attentive. They check up on you regularly and make sure you are taken care of. The food is very flavorful and not too heavy. The fries are so crispy and the chicken is juicy. If you're in Federal Way, UnderGround Kitchen is not a want; it's a NEED. Stop by, you won't be disappointed! Even if they're busy, it's 100% worth the wait.

This place is tucked in the back by Seoul Cafe, Toast Mi and some other spots (both Seoul Cafe and Toast Mi are just visits). There isn't a huge menu selection which is a good thing since it can be overwhelming to have too many options. We settled on the half & half chicken which is basic fried chicken and yangum (sauced), it came out to like 4-5 pieces of each so a pretty good portion. Also got the japchae which had pieces of meat in it despite the menu stating it was only veggies (not a problem for me but can see why it would be for others). The chicken was fried really well and didn't leave any oily residue and the sauced had a nice flavor profile. The japchae was SUPER good, I ate the whole platter. Service is good. Takes a bit to get your food.

This is my favorite Korean fried chicken spot in Washington! They have they most tastiest and crispiest fried chicken that I've had!The place looks like a Korean bar and yes they do serve Korean beers and soju.Besides their yummy fried chicken, I suggest that you must order their creamy seafood udon and Korean cheese corn! They share the same kitchen as the restaurant next door. When you order food from here, the servers actually need to retrieve it from the restaurant next door. The servers here are all really friendly and bubbly. I don't like how there's only one restroom! Sucks, but it is what it is. Yes come here! You won't regret it.

Welcome to Underground Kitchen, where you go underground to get to the location. Atmosphere is nice and quaint. We came for my friends birthday and everything turned out pretty good. The best thing we ate voted by the table was the Yangyun wings and the corn cheese. However, the biggest complaint were the restrooms. The smell of urine was overpowering and there is only 1 toilet/bathroom in the whole restaurant.

3.5! Honestly the vibes here are on point, my friends and I came during a soju promo - so we got a free bottle which was super nice to try out. Great music plus service! But the food was more subpar since I've just tried so many korean fried chicken spots!Ordered the:Korean Fried Chicken in..- in Original (Meat wasn't as juicy as I hoped)- Honey Garlic (Tasted the honey but no garlic? Not enough glaze)- Spicy Yangyum (Tastes like sweet chilli, ampup the spice level more if you need more of a kick)Creamy Rice Cake - I was under the impression it would be a creamy cheesy goodness but it was like more just a ton of cream sauce so it got overwhelmingly bland although the portion was gooBest Appetizers of the Night! Onion Rings and Corn Cheese were bomb honestly you can't go wrong with these plus the seasoning on the corn cheese made it even tastierOverall though I'd still reccommend this spot to chill with friends for a late night hangout. I really like the underground concept!

The chicken was SO GOOD! Went on a Thursday night, I called ahead to see if they were busy and they said they weren't. We were coming down from Seattle but there was traffic so we ended up getting there 40 min before closing. We asked if we could still dine-in. The girl was hesitant but the guy was like sure and seated us right away. I know it's not ideal to go somewhere near closing so we were extra thankful!! He was so kind the whole time, with exceptional service! And all our food was great! Everyone was so impressed with the Korean fried chicken, how crispy it was even with the sauce. We are planning to go back and will make sure not to end up going closer to the closing time.

Went to this place on an early afternoon at 4pm. The place itself was empty and there was only 1 employee working. We got the Spicy Yangnyeom Chicken and the Kimchi Pork Belly Creamy Udon. The portion was very generous for the chicken. Also the size of their wings were big as well. The wings were very crispy despite having a lot of sauce on them. The creamy udon was very delicious with a generous amount of pork and tons of garlic which I love. To sum it up everything was delicious and service was great. Would definitely come here again.
