Nishad K. "I recently visited this place couple of times in bellevue and was impressed by how clean and bright the space was. It was so clean that I felt like I was in a hospital! (But don't worry, I didn't have to wear a mask.)The service was a bit slow due to the crowd but that wasn't a bother for me as I had enough time to enjoy my meal and take in the cozy atmosphere.I ordered the boiled spicy fish fillet which was absolutely delicious! The portion size was large enough to feed a small army and it had just enough garlic for my taste. However, my partner prefers less garlic so you might want to ask for less if you're not a fan of garlic. The dish was also just spicy enough for me but could do with less cabbage/bokchoi.The portion size was good and cost-wise it was decent. Parking wasn't an issue either so I didn't have to park miles away and walk in rain"

The service was so friendly and our server helped us put in our order and customize our dishes. She was so sweet.I didn't know how much I missed and craved a hot fresh bowl of rice and mapo tofu until I had it here. It was perfect and comforting like a warm hug on a rainy cold day. I'd come back here again and again to get mapo tofu. We also ordered the shrimp which was spicy and sooo good, a little too much numbing spice for my bf but he powered through it because the flavors were incredible"

Dumplings, baos, noodles, rice, and protein dishes - all my favorite things.Hits:-Soft Shell Crab Curry Fried Rice ($24) - Salty and delicious with lots of pieces of fried soft shelled crab.-Dan Dan Noodles ($16) - Super soft noodles in a flavorful sauce and minced pork.-Yunnan Ginger Mint Beef ($25) - I tried a few pieces and they were flavorful and succulent.Mixed/Okay:-Honey Walnut Prawn Buns ($10) - The table was raving over these but mine wasn't very flavorful.-Pork Belly Buns ($10) - Nothing too bad but I've just had better, more flavorful / fatty buns. And the pork was not as tender as I usually prefer.-Sichuan Pepper Tofu ($18) - These needed the dipping sauce it came with.Misses:-Chicken and Shitake Dumplings ($16) - these were somewhat disappointing :( It just lacked flavor. Loved the filling to wrapper ratio though.Nice portions. Staff was polite. Interior is trendy and stylish. Cocktail menu looked awesome too."

Access to the sauce bar, which includes limited appetizers and desserts, costs $3.99. And only the bone broth is complimentary, the rest require an upgrade. We got the combination of two for $12.99: spicy broth and bone broth. All orders are placed on your phone via scanning a QR code. Default selection is decent and even has dishes such as fried rice. Conveniently multiple people can select for the same table and the servers will clear it afterwards for additional orders. Everything was fresh and prepared nicely. We picked two sides to pay extra for:- Kitten Paw-Shaped Shrimp Balls: comes with 6 pieces ($6.99)- Shrimp Balls in Litchi Shape: comes with 5 pieces ($5.99)Service was good and quick. They serve large individual pots of rice noodle soup... in the best broth I've ever tasted. I had a plain chicken broth in my Nourishing House Special, and Jon's had a bit more spice and included pickled cabbage. The plain dish I had (I was feeling like comfort more than fiery) was absolutely delicious, and Jon loved his. I ordered twice cooked pork, Mongolian beef, house special fried rice, pork pot stickers and sweet and sour prawns. The twice cooked pork had decent flavor, but the pork belly used in the dish had certain portion that were crispy and other potions that were not crispy. This made the texture when chewing the dish not very appealing. The Mongolian beef and house special fried rice were good. The pot stickers and sweet and sour prawns were exceptional. Maggie L. "Soft opening with limited menu. Scan QR code on the table to order. Lunch special is a decent value. The inside is the same as the previous restaurant, on the dark side. I think more lighting would help the ambience. Overall I'd rate the food as 3.5 stars. Nothing stood out. Most dishes lack flavor: -Pig Ear (cold dish) - I like how it's thinly sliced. It can use some more garlic, spices and salt. -Noodle with Ground Pork & Peas - not too spicy, on the sweeter side. I was told it had a sesame paste sauce but couldn't taste it.-Spicy Mao Cai Lunch Special - comes with a soft drink and rice. The main dish contains meat of choice (we went with lamb), a couple pieces of spam and fish balls, bean curds, and vegetables like potato, daikon, lotus root and napa cabbage. I'm not impressed by this because it's the same as hot pot one can put together easily at home. I was told they will introduce more dishes when they have the grand opening."

Prices are also very reasonable as portion sizes are massive. Each entrée will easily feed 2 people or one person for multiple meals.Nice folks who run this place and some killer lunch specials too. Get the twice cooked pork for a classic intro to Sichuan food, they do it well. Or try other classic crowd-pleasers like Chongqing Spicy Fried Chicken (ask for boneless and don't eat the dried peppers) or kung pao chicken (authentically a step up from what you'd get at Panda Express). The Sichuan boiled beef or boiled fish are really good here for those who are more adventurous or who have more Sichuan food experience.Protip: many Sichuan dishes are supposed to be fairly oily - have no fear! Mostly it's clean, spicy vegetable oil that won't have you feeling sluggish afterward, even in beef or pork belly dishes."

Pearl L. "We came here to grab lunch after my doctor's appointment as it was close by and we wanted to go to a café that was close by. When we walked through the door, we were welcomed warmly by a lady and then directed to our table which had the menu underneath the table glass. The décor inside was very lovely as it had paper lanterns hanging above, a partition with fake bamboo, and other décor that just fit with the overall vibes. As we were browsing, we were greeted by another older woman who was unfriendly and just had a very unwelcoming attitude. She asked us if we wanted drinks and we told her water and hot tea then she just says mutters okay before walking off to get our drinks. Once she returned with the drinks, I got the twice cooked pork belly lunch special with egg flower soup and BBQ pork fried rice while my boyfriend got the sweet and sour pork lunch special with egg flower soup and BBQ pork fried rice. Again, she just mutters okay then leaves before returning back with two cups of egg flower soup. I noticed that both our cups had some leaked egg flower soup but luckily there was still plenty enough in the cups, but it just seems very sloppy, especially since it wasn't filled all the way. After a few minutes, I received my twice cooked pork and fried rice while my boyfriend only received his fried rice. It was another good several minutes before he got his entrée. It felt a bit awkward as I eat first as I didn't want my food to sit out too long and was hungry, and luckily my boyfriend eats pretty fast. However, I know there are people who don't enjoy having their food come out at separate times so just be wary. There were two tables at the time, one that had already been served and one that had just arrived and placed their orders after my boyfriend got his food. Additionally, the table that had just came in got the lady who was friendly and she was making great conversation with the guests so ideally, it would be nice to have her as our server. For example, I wanted more hot water for the hot tea as I love their hot tea and asked the lady after she had dropped off my boyfriend's sweet and sour pork and she had just walked away but after a few steps, she says something a bit louder but I had no idea what she said. Then after a little bit, she comes back and just slightly slams the hot water. I wanted to ask for napkins too but I just felt like I was being an inconvenience to her. Even when my boyfriend went up to pay, she was staring at him during the tipping section which was super uncomfortable but he just gave her a dollar because he felt that she deserved it. She didn't even come check up on us at all.Luckily the meal was delicious as we both enjoyed our entrees and were satisfied with the taste, presentation and portions. The fried rice was really good too, probably the best one I have ever gotten with a lunch special anywhere else. I also appreciate that they have the fried rice in a separate bowl and the entrée on its own plate. I'm fine with food touching each other on my plate but it feels like we get more than just having them share a plate. We will consider returning but we definitely have other restaurants in Lakewood that offers more for the same price of food but better service and food making speed."

It's the only Szechuan place for several miles, and easily the best Szechuan for many more miles. Some of the best Chinese of any kind I've had in my life.In longNear the heart of downtown, with angle-in parking on wide-ish streets. Old buildings that have all come back to life. This place has that mid-century tin framing around the window and the door, but it's light and airy and new inside. Everything--absolutely everything--has at least a new coat of paint, if not all new finishes. Nice light-colored engineered wood floors, pretty matching furniture, nice wall decor. Plenty of window light and ambient light. This place gets slammed. If you go during peak lunch or dinner hours, wear comfortable shoes and prepare to hang out a bit. Try to hit the off hours, at least for now. The lunch and dinner menus both go on and on. Lots of photos of most every dish, so all the pages make it seem a bit longer than it really is. They had two servers on the floor for lunch today, and they were in motion absolutely every second. It still felt a little laggy at first, 'cause the kitchen was slammed, too. The owner came in carrying bags of something they had run out of, took stock of the dining room, and came over to offer us a bigger table and comps of hot & sour and green tea. Took the edge off in a hurry!Hot & sour soupThick stock but not sticky cloying with corn starch--just a nice hearty nourishment. Tons and tons of mushrooms. Awesome when kicked up with chili paste.Green teaSteaming, steaming hot, with fresh clean ceramic mugs and a dedicated ceramic pot. No dreaded silver pot here. They have 3 other kinds of tea available by the mug or the pot. This right here makes me want to come back and we haven't even gotten to the food we ordered yet.Green onion pancakeDidn't come out first, but who cares? So light and flaky, it's like the best scratch southern biscuit except super thin. Very much an appetizer-size portion, which is nice if you're trying (like me) not to gorge yourself on carbs but still love Chinese food. Amazing soy dipping sauce with a bit of sweetness. Really clings to each bite.Spicy sour dumplingsPerfectly cooked, huge flavors inside, big flavors to the soy-chili sauce and veg all over the top. Tons of scallions and peppers to chase around with your chopsticks. You could order this over and over and still want more.Fried prawnsShown unshelled, head-on in the menu photo. Not sure if we said the name wrong when we ordered or if they always come out shelled, battered, and fried. Anyway, these were great. Cool presentation! See photo. Steaming hot for sure. Tons of flavor.Beef with spicy chiliMasterpiece of a dish. Comes out in a heated serving bowl. Piping hot without a doubt. Veg cooked just enough to heat them through and soak in the seasonings; they're not raw salad veg anymore but still show lots of crunch. Absolute perfection. Similarly, the beef is tender, loaded with seasoning, and couldn't be better. Lots of unexpected veg in this, too--cauliflower doesn't always come with this, some thin-sliced root veg, some lotus flower cross-sections. Hard to stop eating this one.We saw many, many other things we can't wait to try. The owner was cautious with us, telling us that one or two things were more to Chinese tastes than to American tastes. I'm sure folks at better restaurants like this get tired of surprising sheltered folks and having to take stuff off the bill, but we want to try everything here. She seemed relieved after the meal, saying "oh, I am *so* glad you like spicy food!" She doesn't even know us yet. Can't wait to come back."

The spice was perfect (I'm a 3-4 star Thai food gal) - I could taste the Szechuan-ness but it wasn't crazy hot and numbing, and it had good flavor! Usually, these types of soups are all spice. There is even an "extra mild" option if you don't like it too spicy. The tomato was comforting. I liked mixing both broths. They refilled our soup every time it got low. We drink a lot of soup! The purple potato starch noodles were so yummy and chewy! The hot pot noodles were tasty as well, especially with the soup.
