"A Speakeasy Omakase! Located secretly inside New Zen Sushi. No signs, no name, not even on google maps. But wow, does Fujiwara-san bring mouthwatering game from the sea! He even makes his own salt!I enjoyed every single dish, and each piece was equally refreshing and delicious. Chef Fuji was a delight to talk to, and is very easy going. I can't wait to go back! Fujiwara-san proudly presents his culinary art on handpicked plates, cups and utensils from his favorite place in Japan. His hometown Okayama, Japan. I love this cute touch! He and his wife run this hidden gem in Renton, and they just opened last month. Make reservations through his IG or text before he gets fully booked out. Omakase price is $150 pp before tax and gratuity. Max of 6 people at the bar. He also sells Kaiseki-don, limited to 3 per day. Eat in only. He doesn't want to rob you of eating his deliciously prepared dish at prime time by letting you take it home in the car.. cause who know how long it'll be sitting in traffic for. Haha We made the 7:00PM reservation on Wednesday, and had great timing leaving Bellevue at 6:30PM. Traffic had died down by then, and they have a private lot for easy pull up parking! Highly recommend. Nom nom nom."

Service was friendly and welcoming. We were seated in a little corner where we both got booth seating. Food: + hot tea + signature 5 hand roll set - tuna, salmon, shrimp tempura, hamachi, and scallop. My favorite was the hamachi and tuna. They tasted so fresh and were so flavorful! The salmon was good but lacked flavor and the scallop was a bit fishy for me so my husband ate that one. The shrimp was also very tasty and I liked the flavor combo! + chicken karaage appetizer - super tasty and generous portions! + matcha crepe cake - a nice way to finish off the meal! Overall, a great hand roll spot with fresh fish and tasty options! Would definitely be happy to come again for sushi date night!"
"Good and quick service, super fresh sushi, reasonable prices and a super clean interior. Wasn't expecting much when this spot pulled up on Yelp and to be honest when we pulled up. Was super surprised to walk in and find a really detail oriented/mindful set up. Food comes out quickly and adorned with extra decorations that honestly aren't necessary, the fresh flowers were more than enough. Ordered Osaka pressed sushi roll, kiss of death roll, California roll and yellowtail scallion. The rolls are hefty! The Osaka pressed roll was really good, tons of flavor, each bite was consistent. I really believe you can tell if a place is good bass on this roll since it's so simple. It was so good! Reminded me of my favorite place for California rolls, definitely one of the better ones I've had. Similarly I found the yellowtail scallion super fresh and flavorful, also one of the best I've had aside from the really fancy spots. The only roll I didn't like was the kiss of death and it's mainly because there was something in it that gave it a funny taste, we think it's the hot sauce. Overall, super positive experience. Not sure it's worth the drive to Kirkland only because there are a lot of yummy spots there butttttt definitely worth checking out if you are wanting sushi!"
"*Better-late-than-never review for my dining experience in August 2022 :p*My friends visiting from out of town was lucky enough to get a reservation for the 5:30PM seating on a Wednesday night (never had luck myself after many months of trying).Food was memorable, and to me better than all the sushi restaurants I've been to in downtown Seattle. I love that Kaiseki style offers a large variety of ingredients, not just limited to raw fish. It's always fun to try ingredients I've never had or even heard of before. Below is my notes from that evening, and thankfully I jot it down because I definitely can't recall these details now.·Scallop from Hokkaido with uni and sea plant jello ·Flounder 2-ways: sashimi and fin (cooked)·Horse mackerel·King Mackerel with onion sauce and green onion·Shad·langustine with Chinese wine sauce·throat of the seaperch (torched) ·cod roe with monk fish liver·skipjack ·hokkaido uni with Vancouver spot prawn·bluefin tuna from Spain (380 pound tuna, dry aged for 2 weeks)·chutoro·otoro·lobster from Canada and sweet corn from California·miso katsu Miyazaki waygu beef ·uni hand roll from north side of Hokkaido·huge hand roll with sea eelDessert:Mascarpone pudding with mochi and matcha"
"A 'I need to go get groceries today, but I don't want to be hungry going in' staple! Little Tokyo has stuck through thick and thin over the years and there's a reason why- the food is good, the service is prompt and kind, and they've just always been a convenient location (with good-sized portions). As our family grew over the last couple years, the servers are always sweet and accommodating to our nearly two-year-old with high chairs and we discovered the kid's bento is just the right size. I recently had the beef bento. I like it much better than the teriyaki chicken (it's a little on the goopy side for me). Thank you, Little Tokyo! Always a pleasant visit."
"This place has the best/most consistent teriyaki that I've had in the Eastside and Seattle area. I always get the sauce on the side, as it's a little sweet. But I frequent it at least three times a week. There are typically only two people that take the orders at the register and they are both the nicest and sweetest people you'll meet. There seems to be a large following for their sushiI and I've tried it but I am still preferential to the teriyaki. The portions are always very generous. Highly recommend."
"From the outside it does not look like anything special but the good stuff is what is inside. The food was fantastic. We had three orders to go and they were all packed well and just like the restaurant the good stuff was in the bag. Salmon was done perfect, sushi combo was presented very well for a to go order and the chicken was tender and juicy. What I really appreciated was the fact that it was a full meal deal with miso soup and salad along with the entrees. The service was very quick and pleasant. Since I am in the area quite often, this place is now on my lunch radar."
"I was walking by westlake area and decided to explore a little and saw this place. It looks like they recently open but the menu looks interesting so I decided to give it a try.I got the Seahawks burrito which contains crispy salmon as the main protein and then their standard filling of Avocado, tamago, veggies, etc. Good: the burrito itself was good in flavoring and the crispy salmon was crispy and brought a nice texture to the burrito. It also come in a pretty nice togo box. Bad: portion is a little small for the price. The burrito itself was not wrapped properly as it broke apart when you start eating it. Each time I take a layer of the wrapper off, the burrito breaks even more, so you definitely need napkin which defeat the purpose. They are new so hopefully they will work out some of the kinks but I can see this place being a go to place for a grab and go."
"This is my favorite casual sushi spot in all of Seattle. The portions and quality to price ratio is insane. I always get the Salmon Lover and Creamy Scallop roll. I've gotten them at least 5 times, and never has the quality been off or the consistency been different. The fish freshness continues to amaze me every time I order. The salmon lover comes with 3 sashimi slices, 8 maki pieces, and 6 nigiri pieces. The scallop roll also has a healthy portion of scallop!"
"I'm not sure why this place isn't better rated. I recently started working nearby and Oto has become one of my go to lunch spots. They have HH pricing during lunch until 5pm I believe where you can literally get a sushi combo with a roll + 6 pieces of nigiri for $19.95. Living in Seattle, the nigiri alone would be $19.95! They have apps and rolls ranging from about $5 up to $15. Then combos for $20. Entree prices all around $15 as well. It feels like a steal. The quality of the fish has all been great as well. I might have a few knocks on what can sometimes feel like rushed service but during lunch hour, I'm also in a rush so haven't really minded. Let's just say they are very efficient and run a brisk in/out business."

What an amazing hidden gem omaskase spot in downtown Renton! I haven't been Yelping as much since I mainly share my reviews via Instagram, but since I was able to go back a second time, I wanted to share my experience on this platform as well! What everyone has already written is spot on, and I am grateful I was able to share the first meal with my husband and the second with my mom! Everything was amazing, but especially the uni! Sharing photos of tonight's (11/22) dinner for your viewing pleasure. Can't recommend this spot enough! I definitely want to try for their kaisen don soon!

The quality and quantity of fish to rice ratio was 50/50 which was much more then I expected. We also got multiple appetizers, nothing special but all pretty tasty. The inside is also cute but I wouldn't not bring a group larger than 5.

Service - 4/5. The staff is friendly and attentive.Ambience- 3/5. It's a casual yet clean dining place. Food - 4/5. If you are looking for authentic sushi or a nice omakase, go to Kashiba, Taneda, Takai by Kashiba, or I love sushi depending on your budget. If you just want a casual/beginner level sushi or any fusion rolls, this is a good place for you. Everything we had was good!

This place probably has one of the best omakase you can get in the Seattle area much better than Sushi Kashiba or Shiro's. My other 2 favorite Japanese restaurants are Wa'z and Sankai in Edmonds. I would say Taneda is on par with Wa'z in quality although Taneda has more sushi. I cannot pick which one I like more between Tandeda and Wa'z! Sankai is simpler and slightly a step below in presentation and preparation but has excellent prices for huge variety of fish flown in from Japan. The thing that makes Taneda stand out is the sake pairing. 100% do get it. I didn't even like most sakes until I got the pairing from Taneda and now I'm hooked on Junmai Daiginjo! They will tailor the pairing to your tastes. I tried to find the same sake from stores and was told the chef must have gotten special rare bottles from his buddies!Service is kind of pretentious here. I got told off for putting clam shells on the sushi serving stone and a friend was charged $3 for water with a slice of lemon. I guess they can afford to do this due to the exclusivity and the quality of the food. I would not subtract any stars as these situations are avoidable.

I came on Thursday and this place is amazing. I love trying new food even though I get scared but the server was super helpful and recommended the spicy Korean Ramen and the veggie stir fry. I loved my food and left with a full belly

Mediocre experienceGot to go and brought everything home and things were still warm (yay)Spicy beef teriyaki :The beef was super salty and I needed to drink extra water to compensate.Spider roll: decent, nothing to write home aboutCalamari salad : super chewy but flavor was pleasant if just a tad too sweet.Price was a bit much honestly
Visit Restaurant Page"Popped in for a late lunch and we were greeted by an enormous menu. Wasn't expecting all the anime art on the walls, to be fair I hadn't done my fair share of research / Yelp search on this spot. It's fun inside with plenty to look at. They have a bunch of food on the menu that I wanted to try but the chicken poke was calling for me today. Super crunchy chicken katsu, like some of the BEST chicken katsu I have had. It was seasoned! The poke was good, tons of stuff in it for the indecisive individual aka me though next time I would say no pickled ginger. Flavors were solid and complimented each other well. Partner got the spicy tonkatsu chasu and it was pretty good too. Overall, solid experience for us both. Prices were on par with other places and portions were generous."
"Matsu is one of the very few decent restaurants in Seattle that can accommodate large parties and does reservations. It has a very similar menu to Momiji and Umi (sister restaurants) with a bigger, more corporate feeling vibe. Service has always been great, and I end up here when I can't get a reservation at the other two on short notice. They also have a large bar area for happy hour, though you can get the happy hour menu at the regular tables as well. It's right by the stadium, so parking can be impossible if there's an event going on."
"Such a great spot tucked away next to a parking garage to pick up lunch. There's no seating inside, so you'll have to take your food away. You can order at the counter or there's a self-serve kiosk that you can put an order in yourself too. I tried a nigiri bento and the seared salmon inari. Everything was so delicious and fish tasted super fresh! I'd definitely come back again another time for lunch."
"Typical sushi spot. We had the Phoenix Rising Roll (absolutely delicious), the Rainbow Roll (okayish), and the hirame nigiri 2pc.I didn't think too much of the food maybe besides the phoenix rising roll.We were the only customers in the restaurant at the time, so the service was quick.Typical sushi/japanes restaurant vibes."
"I had no idea Ten Sushi #35 existed until we saw it as a participating business for the International District Happy Hour Food Walk. I must've never noticed it when in the area, as it's located in Little Saigon in a shopping complex. But after checking it out, I can't say I'd willingly go back. When we first arrived, we weren't sure if it was open because it was dark inside, and when we tried to open the door, it wouldn't budge. We soon learned that it was just a heavy door; as we saw that once we did pull it open, the employee was standing in front of the door watching us the entire time, trying to pull open the door. It was as if they didn't want us to visit. How odd. My boyfriend and I shared the salmon nigiri and seared tuna and salmon nigiri, which were both on the happy hour food walk menu. Although the nigiri pieces were cheap, they weren't the best. The salmon nigiri was fine, but the seared pieces were unfortunately, too seared. Because of so, we couldn't taste the freshness and quality of the fish. The sear adds a little something extra, which is why I normally order seared nigiri pieces, but the sear was too much. Also, they drizzled a spicy sauce on top of the sear, which also added to the fact that we couldn't taste a lot of the fish. Bummer. I most likely would not visit Ten Sushi #35 again, especially for when I crave sushi. The food was mediocre and the space didn't feel inviting."
"The teriyaki at the Asian Table was not very good. The chicken was grossly overcooked and the rice hard as a rock. I think they serve leftovers on Saturday. The vegetables tasted like cheap oil. My husband only ate one bite and dumped the rest"
"This was an upbeat location with bamboo booths and a tiki bar as well as an extended menu. There were a number of Hawaiian options along with sushi choices too. The food came out quick and the staff was friendly. The spam musubi ($9.95) and pupu platter ($31.95) were ordered. The musubi consisted of grilled spam slices on rice that was wrapped with nori and topped with an oyster plum sauce. The spam was grilled ideally and paired nicely with the oyster plum sauce because of how much salt was in the spam. I have always wanted to try some type of version of this, and it exceeded my expectations. The pupu platter consisted of two large coconut prawns, lumpia Shanghai, pork gyoza, beef robata, and I believe BBQ pork. The prawns were my favorite as they had a great ratio of breading to prawn and adding the sweet chili sauce helped it even more. The lumpia Shanghai was my least favorite as there was not really much flavor to these eggrolls. Both beef parts were tasty, while the pork gyoza was crispy and needed a little more filing. Overall, it was decent. Will I go back? I would."
"I've been there a couple of times already and loved the food and service every time. This time I got the lunch special combo chicken teriyaki and general tso's which was tasty and a good amount of food for under $10.The restaurant is clean and they pay attention to deal, for example the lady at the register always wipes the credit card used with a clean wipe before she hands it back to me which is nice to see these days."
"Service is always lovely and the food very fresh and flavorful. Had nigiri and duck noodle soup on most recent visit. Both were very fresh and the duck soup was so full of flavor with baby bok choy, fresh herbs and a full quart leftover to enjoy over the weekend. This is the place to dine when I am in Stanwood."
"Such an unexpected ly good Japanese spot on this quiet street in Bellevue. There's plenty of street parking as well as parking nearby at the library if you're headed in. The staff was so kind here and the vibe and ambiance of the restaurant was great. They had a very few seating options but they were all cute and there's a tiny little booth in the corner as well. We had the chirashi bowl as well as the salmon rolls and everything was amazing. Wouldn't call this place cheap, but compared to other options the taste was great and it is an expensive at all. Can't wait for my next time back"
"Ordered takeout from here recently and was soooo happy with it.The udon had some veggies and tofu bits in it that went so well with the soft and savory broth. The tempura shrimp that came with the udon and my side order of tempura veggies were so crisp and not heavy on the oil or breading. The beef short ribs and beef teriyaki did have a bit more sauce than desired but the cook was perfect and the flavors were great."
"We went here around dinner time. We just moved to this city so it's quite exciting to explore new places to eat. This little gem had a regood dragon roll when we first ordered to go. So I suggested to dine in. We ordered a bento and a crazy unagi roll. The servings were a good portion that we had take home to eat the next day. Overall it's nice to have an asian restaurant to go to that's close to our new place."
"Sushi is fresh and tasty! Little salad bar with soup, fried food and dessert could be a bit more elevated and replenished as the food runs out! Service was good and wait time not bad at all! I'm used to unlimited options at AYCE sushi restaurants coming from LA but the food was pretty decent!Another cool thing was the robot delivering the food."
"It upsets me that this place has a low rating because I think it's the best sushi restaurant in Capitol Hill. Sashimi quality for its quantity is so worth it.It has a cute shoes-off seating area for bigger parties. It's also the only place where I can get a little bit of everything I want in a bento box for only $25. Happy Hour from 4-6pm: worth it, never busy!"
"I have to admit, the main reason why i went here was because of the Naruto inspired artwork. It felt like this shop was their own version of "Ichiraku Ramen". We ordered two ramens to eat at the restaurant for lunch then we ordered a sushi burrito and a dupbap to go.For the ramen, we ordered:-Tonkotsu Spicy Seafood Miso- so spicy, the broth tasted hearty, not at all watery. Honestly a bigger bowl than most ramen places ive been to, which is not a bad thing at all. Hence, they were super generous with the seafood.-Tonkotsu Chashu Chicken- the chashu was super juicy and chewy. Not an oily broth at all and was hearty as well. For the sushi burrito, I ordered: -Gangnam Style Burrito- huge and crunchy. I could only eat half and ended up saving the rest for later. The spicy mayo definitely helped increase the spice on the burrito. Plus, as a cheese lover... loved the cream cheese flavor throughout the burrito. For the rice dish, the husband ordered:-Sumo Chicken Katsu Dupbap- super crispy and juicy. The teriyaki sauce and yam yam sauce were the highlights to the meal."
"Ever have one of those annoying Mondays, add in pouring rain to amplify it, and all one wants is to take a time out and get away. (No segue to a Calgon or Southwest Airlines commercial?)Well somehow I found myself at Sushi Misoya and decided maybe this first visit will help me chill out.At this establishment there is the no frills, but efficient customer service. Decent quality Japanese cuisine. There was only two people doing essentially everything (tipped above 20% for their efforts). With my crabby attitude, just as well I'm being left alone to focus on the meal.Stuck with plain cold water (no refill provided). A bowl of piping hot miso soup was also provided. I had to cool it closer to ambient, but it had decent flavor with the tofu cubes concentrated at the bottom. The sushi combo I selected had half a California roll and five generous pieces of nigiri sushi: kana/salmon, ebi/cooked shrimp, hamachi/yellowtail, tuna, and unagi/eel. This was followed with the tempura comprised of two fried shrimp and vegies. Vegies like broccoli, onion, potato, sweet potato. The lunch combos, bento boxes, nigiri sushi, noodles, and assorted rolls provided a large variety to chose from.Decent value and quality. Worth returning!"
"Toyama is probably my favorite restaurant in Everett because of the amazing food and exceptional customer service! I've been here quite a few times and have never been let down by them, ever.As you can tell from my pictures, I've tried a lot of their menu and honestly, there's nothing I wouldn't recommend. The rolls are creative and delicious, sashimi is thick and fish is fresh, and it's reasonably priced. They have great deals during lunch (11-2 I think) so it's more budget friendly, if you want to have a big lunch. Most of their combos come with salad and miso soup, and are around $15. Although the lunch menu is limited, they do also offer the dinner menu all day so you can have more options.Of course I will be back soon and I recommend everyone come here, if you're near the area!"
"King's Teriyaki: I have not been here in years. I remember my sister always loving this place. They always been pricey, but the quality was there and okay quantity. Well my daughter was wanting teriyaki after 9:00 PM on a Sunday. This place is great if you ever want teriyaki items after 9:00 PM. I don't know of many places open after this time in the Kent area. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and egg roll. For $18.00 bucks and change the teriyaki was okay. But what place gives you only one scoop of rice and a scoop of stir fried veggies. Definitely not enough rice for all that chicken. I don't prefer stir fried veggies unless I was at K.BBQ. I rather have the cold salad, to what I am accustomed too. My daughter like it, but the chicken to me was a little rubbery like it was fake. The sauce was ok like most places. This place is about 2.5 stars for me. On the plus side they are open very late and many options. But quantity and quality for me, it was not there. I understand food prices have gone up. But be reasonable. As consumers we have many options as well..."
"Great bank for your buck! Incredibly large portions for a great price! Food is pretty good. I like the chicken teriyaki; it was a bit dry but the sauce helped. Overall, great place for a hungry person looking for something affordable!"
"This sushi spot is nestled amongst a variety of different restaurants and businesses in an older strip mall and is a pretty sizeable place with bar and booth seating. I stopped by for lunch today and was very pleased with their innovative rolls and afforable prices. I also appreciated that the staff were very attentive and proactive in following up with us and checking in on our needs. I felt very cared for!Tip: If you want to see their comprehensive menu, you can find it online; they only show a few options on the printed menu. If you enjoy eating lots of different textures at once, try the salmon skin roll! It's crispy, warm, and tastes best when its freshly fried so order it a la carte."
"Great addition to Woodinville! We are always up for some Asian cuisine and this little place hit the spot. I like that they have hot soup and hot tea as self serve. Although the egg flower soup was not my favorite and miso soup was missing the seaweed. We ordered gyoza udon and salmon bento. Both tasted great. The server even offered an adjustment when kids were debating on the gyoza being fried or boiled. She kindly offered to make 3 fried and 2 boiled in the soup. Great for lunch, clean and roomy. Can't wait to come and try more dishes. Don't forget the fortune cookie when you leave!"
