Decent Americanized Thai restaurant in the Bonney Lake area. Nice enough service. Spacious with booths along the wrap-around glass walls. Menu has all the classic comforts of a typical Thai restaurant at a standard and not too expensive price.Ordered our two usual comparators at a Thai restaurant: Pad Thai and a curry. Pad Thai was very good and presented nicely but too much sauce and way too sweet. The green curry was creamy and sweet. I particularly enjoyed the big pieces of eggplants, the al dente green beans, the bamboo shoots, and the tender chicken strips. The brown rice they use here is very good. The kernels have a good chew and flavor. One of the best brown rices I've had.We had to ask for chopsticks and something to use for sharing, so they brought out some low quality thin melamine rice bowls but did they job. They also serve Thai tea, Thai coffee, coconut milk, beer, wine, and desserts like black sticky rice. Overall, not as authentic and impressive as the Thian Thai down the street but hits expectations and satisfies enough at a decent enough price.

It's nice that Bonney Lake has a couple of good Thai food options. Sumalee's one of those. The service is always pleasant, and the food is always good. I especially enjoyed visiting for lunch. The interior is darker and a bit more mysterious, and that adds to the vibe.

Its been a year and their pad see ew still tastes great! Generous with the amount of greens and meats throughout the dish. Very flavorful with the amount of spices they mixed in. For someone who loves spice, I ordered a spice level of 3 and it is still a bit spicy. Noodles werent dry nor overgreased. Their portion size fills the takeout box. I was only able to eat half and save the rest for dinner.Overall, will continue to satisfy my craving here at Sumalee. In my opinion, its the best pad see ew in town.

It's quiet and a very nice looking restaurant. I like their decor. Phad Kee mao the broccoli is a little cold when we eat it. Phad Thai is a little too much sweet for me. Their Sumalee Platter is a must try. They didn't have any silverware for us because it was all in the washer. Server didn't improvised until I asked. Thai tea is good.

Classy feel, great food and beautiful presentation. Service is good. Curry is VERY spicy! They warn you on the menu, my tummy cannot handle the level of heat it packs, but it's delish. I wish I could, and I wish they could make it less spicy.

The AMAZING Stuff: The SMELL!!! I know the smell of great Thai cooking, but this place could bottle that scent for perfume! Incredible!!Excellent service. Attentive, if I looked up, my waiter was looking at me and immediately responded in seconds. I asked questions and she was great at giving details on dishes. When it was time to run, she promptly brought perfectly appropriate containers and extra dipping sauce to go without asking questions. Then she asked if she could help me put the (typically messy) items in containers. Dishes I ordered:Papaya salad light on fish sauce. Med heat. EXCELLENT. The bright lime zing really stood out. (I am SUPER picky about this dish!!)Steamed Mussels: Green mussels in a Tom Kha base with fragrant basil, onion, and tomatoes. No mushrooms. EXTREMELY yummy and fragrant dish! The OK:Stuffed Prawns: prawns with ground beef and pork, wrapped and fried to perfect crispiness, served with a plum sauce. They were FINE. They were exactly as described, and the cook was perfect. I can only compare the flavor to the other two dishes and say I would have expected a much more spiced/flavorful mix. If they had been marinated or had ground in ginger and lemongrass, I'd have been in love! I can't wait to go back and enjoy more dishes!!!!

I come here at least once a year for my birthday... mainly for the steamed mussels....MMmmmm!!!!Today the floors appear to be very dirty and the tables are sticky. Need to resurface the tables...My wife tried the three flavored fish. They were out of tilapia, so asked us and we agreed the catfish was an acceptable substitute. Then told us that we are the last order of catfish and then they're out.I had to have the steamed mussels. It has been my favorite.

Food was good. Service was not. Our waitress started mopping the floors before we were done eating. At 7:30??? WTH? Have not had this waitress before. Maybe she needs to be supervised?
