This LaConner Mexican restaurant is fabulous. The staff so efficient and friendly. The restrooms clean. The distance between tables so nice! The margaritas wonderful and the food excellent. We have been going here for a number of years. I am a building owner in town and highly recommend this restaurant!

I keep wanting to love and support this place.Stale chips on several occasions; watery & flavorless taco salad; hair in food dining in and lastly no sour cream on an expensive delivery order that clearly listed sour cream as part of the menu item has ended my relationship here.

Post Covid there is not much open in La Conner on a Tuesday night! Santo spared me the hunger cravings but given the reviews I have to say I was expecting much more. Let me start and say the chips tasted like they were made with old oil. It was the first time I've been presented with chips and salsa and I could only eat one! The tacos were decent but the carne asada didn't have much flavor. The avocado salsa saved the day so I could get through them. I really don't like leaving a two star review but other than good service there isn't much I can recommend...

This was a great find while visiting LaConner. The restaurant is very cute and festive. We were quickly greeted by friendly and professional staff. We ordered takeout - Veggie Fajitas and vegetarian Coyote Burrito with no cheese and no sour cream to make it vegan. The portions are huge but we managed to eat everything. The flavors were spot on with just enough spice to my husband's liking. If you are in the LaConner neighborhood for a weekend getaway, this is a must visit location.

I wanted to love this place but my experience left me wanting. When I was planning my trip, I knew I wanted to have a Mexican meal in La Conner and there were only 2 Mexican restaurants there. I decided on this place based on reviews and it seemed more homely and not as modern as the other one. Maybe it was me arriving in a neither here nor there timing. Due to traffic conditions to La Conner, I was there around 330 pm for a super late lunch. There was only 1 other table occupied and there were 2 staff on duty. The first impression was the server did not seem like she wanted to be there. Then it took a while before she came over to get my order. I had to walk to the bar/kitchen area to catch the attention of a staff when I wanted my check and a to go box. When I left, nobody acknowledged it. Not sure if they even noticed it. So the service definitely could be better during the off peak hours. The food was mediocre. It was tasteless yet salty. I know, strange combination. I could only taste salt and none of the flavors of the food. Even the salsa for the chips was very mild tasting. I always like chile verde and I had it at another Mexican restaurant a few weeks before this in Bellingham, and that was pretty good. So it was quite disappointing to have this version. The portion was ok though the small scoop of guacamole and sour cream was quite pathetic. Overall, it was just not a pleasant experience here. I definitely will not be back. And the kicker was an extra $0.50 charge if you use card payment.

The service was great. The food delicious. I placed an online order and headed out. When I got there 10 minutes later it was ready. So speed of service I would say was excellent.

Santo Coyote is our favorite Mexican restaurant! Their carne asada is the best ever and the margaritas are perfect! The mole is amazing, enchiladas are too. Love this place!

Honestly, I'm puzzled about how this place manages to stay in business, especially with a Mexican eatery like COA nearby. COA's cuisine is significantly better, with larger portions. Santo Coyote's chimichanga, which was smaller and pricier, with a $2 upcharge for bland and basic cream sauce, doesn't even comeclose to to COA's chimichanga. The difference is wild. Additionally, COA's chips are much more delicious than those at Santo Coyote's. Overall, the only people who prefer santos cayote for their Mexican food in La Conner have not yet been to COA. . . .

My husband and I tried this place for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was horrible from the get go. We weren't acknowledged for about 5 minutes. We stood in the entry waiting for someone to seat us. They looked at us, but no "hello" or "welcome!" When we finally got seated, I noticed the plants right next to us were covered in dust. A thick layer, never been cleaned. When we ordered our food, my husband made it very clear that he doesn't like tomatoes and asked that no tomatoes were on his order. When the food came... tomatoes. His food was Luke warm and the ground beef looked as if it had been colored. It had a weird pink/red color and consistency. I had the 3 tacos and could barely eat one... way too salty. It was the grossest Mexican food we had ever had.
