They were very attentive and gave us great recommendations. They are open until 2am so one night we went and Joey & Max were so great! I got home and made some organic, Omega 3 enriched scrambled eggs and some nitrate free turkey bacon. Yum? Whatever.Later that day, we decided to go to the new Target in Renton (which I will NOT be reviewing - Target is Target. Amazing how a brand new store looks just like a 15 year old store.) We want a new TV, I needed some white shoe polish (because apparently there isn't a GD pair of Adidas Grand Prix in white with blue stripes for sale on this PLANET), and a few other things. Somewhere between talking myself out of buying the Issac Mizrahi for Target dress (really cute, but you know that shit is going to fall apart in like a week), the husband talking me out of buying the Tommy Boy/Black Sheep double feature DVD, ("It's the same movie." So true, but still Farley and Spade. I love those guys...) and not finding the TV we wanted, I BECAME FAMISHED. WTF? I totally ate! Fucking aromatic Target pretzels, that's what it was. Or that I had yet to consume a single carbohydrate at 4pm? Whatever. HUNGRY.Anyhoo - I had yet to get to the new/old Tacos El Asadero Bus which was formerly on MLK and Graham but had since moved to Rainier in Renton. I really liked the guy who runs it and wanted MORE STEAK RANCHERO NOW. I could actually taste it. We got:2 orders of Steak Ranchero2 Pollo tacos2 Al Pastor tacos2 Al Pastor mulitas1 cheese quesadilla (para el bebe)1 giant bag of radishes1 giant bag of Zanahorias en Escabeche 2 Diet CokesTotal: $26I filled up on radishes and carrots before we got home, but made the decision to eat myself into an uncomfortable stupor anyway. I could DRINK the sauce in the Steak Ranchero. So fucking good...zesty, spicy, hot, sort of sweet. Probably comes from a can, but what the fuck do I care? I don't. I just want to know what the can looks like.Dollar tacos. Delicious dollar tacos. Also, running in the morning = SUPER HUNGRY ALL DAY. Deanna B. "My husband discovered this restaurant/bar whilst I was out on vacation. He wanted to share his find so on Friday night Nov. 11, 2022 we went over to check it out. So glad he brought me there. This little gem is in central Marysville, WA just off of State Street in a little strip mall just north of the Fred Meyer. It falls in near a 7/11 and another Asian restaurant. We went around 7 PM and had no issues finding a place to sit. District 1 Ban Mi Bar is split into two establishments. There is a sports bar on one side with pool tables and dart boards. The other side is the unassuming restaurants Banh Mi & Bar. Very nice lady took our order. It was my first time at the location so I asked if I had made a good choice, she agreed I had. I chose the Noodle Salad Bowl with a sweet marinated pork and egg roll. My husband had a Pork Bahn Mi Sandwich with egg. The food took less than 10 minutes to arrive. What an amazing surprise that was brought to our table. My noodle salad bowl looked so fresh. It had vegetables some carrots, cucumbers, and lettuce. The cucumbers and carrots tasted slightly pickled and sweet. Perfect for the dish. The Asian vermicelli noodles were freshly cooked, not mushy at all, just very lovely. The pork was marinated similar to teriyaki but better. It was just a great dish all around. My husband ordered the Grilled Pork Ban Mi Sandwich with a fried egg sandwich. The bread was fresh, with fresh vegetables, jalapeños, grilled pork and a fried egg. I didn't have this but my husband said it is one of the best Ban Mi sandwiches he has had.We also ordered Cha'gio as an appetizer.Everything was fresh. Very light and crispy and yummy! We didn't go over to the sports bar, but they have a full bar, the pool tables and dart boards. The dart boards were open. The pool tables were full. What a gem in the area.We will be going back! Our new favorite place!"

Most of the items on the board were goneService was quick. The staff was courteous. We got the lemongrass chicken and the tofu Banh mi. The sandwich is a take on the traditional Banh Mi. The protein was good but could have had a little bit more of the lemongrass flavor. The picked veggies were not pickled. Also missing was the fish sauce and/or Maggi sauce for the umami flavor.Like I said it is a very modern buttery mayo sandwich like you would find in Southern region of Vietnam. The bread is fantastic. The jalapeno slices add a spicy touch. I missed the cucumbers and the cilantro. It is good in its own right. Give them a try ymmv!"

Kristen B. "Stopped in at 12:30 on a Sunday for a sandwich to go - I didn't leave until 12:52pm.. Only two people working and one female employee spent 15 min trying to figure out with a man how she overcharged him for a large order.. He was extremely angry at the end of the conversation as she kept having to call someone as the line got bigger.. I did feel bad for her as she looked like she was crying after he left, but she wasn't empathetic to him or any other customers waiting patiently and it was frustrating to watch on both ends.. Heartfelt Smiles and apologizes could have remedied the situation I reckon as in the food industry customers are your business.. .. The young male employee was probably moving slower then anyone at Subway could move.. Multitasking was not something he was good at and I am sure with how busy they were he probably would have rather been anywhere else but there.. Alas though my sandwich was made perfectly and tasted like every other Subway sandwich I have ordered tasted.. Nothing special and the slowness and service ( and lack of apologizes from the staff for the wait ) made it a negative experience.. I don't know why I keep coming back but its walking distance from my work and I am sure that is how they stay in business.. T-mobile customers as the service is lacking.."

Specifically, I have noticed that employees seem to enjoy working with each other which creates a hospitable environment for patrons and staff alike. I can definitely see myself continuing to frequent this spot.I love their coffee and their food, however if I were to make one critique, I would say find a way to make the iced drinks more cold because they are a bit melty and luke-warm rather than cold. I would suggest flavor - shots - ice - milk, though I do understand each place has it's own way of standardizing processes for making drinks.Overall, I have been very satisfied with my experience here and I am happy to have a local coffee spot. :)"

The place is such a welcoming environment, being greeted by the bartender immediately upon entering. However what really took it all home were how delicious these pizzas were! They've got whole pies but we wanted variety and the options did not disappoint. We got a pesto, pepperoni, veggie and a meat. They were all so flavorful and the crust definitely holds its own. I also loved that these slices didn't feel too greasy, just right! Our most to least favorite: pesto, pepperoni, meat and then veggie. That said, you can't go wrong here! I got the Notre Dame (Grilled Chicken) banh mi. Full stuffed toasted banh mi. I inhaled the whole sandwich. I would say it's the best chicken banh mi I've had so far. It had a good curry flavor and was juicy. A little messy with the juices dripping and bread crumbs. The bread was toasted and not to a point where it cuts the roof of your mouth. The banh mi does lack structure and is crumbly. I got to try the kumquat and basil tea. I normally ask for less sweetness but it was the perfect sweetness as it was. Very refreshing. I tried my friend's rice bowl. She got the special that comes with an egg and 2 choices of protein. She got beef and pork. The pork is like your typical vietnamese grilled pork. The beef had a good flavor that I couldn't pinpoint what it was. They're both a bit dry. The cilantro aioli was pretty good.I went again during their grand opening and got a rice bowl and won another one. They ran out of white rice so I got brown rice. It wasn't too bad with it. The tofu was pretty good. It tasted like homemade lemongrass."

They were pretty quick with getting orders in, but the wait for food was about an hour, so ate some there but ended up taking most home and reheating later (hence the toasty photo)Cubano sandwich - really great flavor depth and variety in each bite. Love the pickles in there, good meat, and nice seasoning. Bread was a little on the soggier side, but was much better after I re-toasted. Fries - not too salty, lightly seasoned. Crispy with that harder crunch/crisp to it. Medium thickness, straight fries - not quite as thick as a steak fry but thicker than most typical fries. The creamy mustard/mayo-y sauce on the side was just ok. Overall, really enjoyed the sandwich and the fries - flavor was 10/10z Reason for 4 vs 5 stars - for the price ($25 after tax/tip) would have expected slightly bigger portion size. Sandwich was a decent size but could have eaten more after, and the bread being on the soggier/greasy side. If you're a person of color and want to support a brother, ask to sit in Nathan's area. Haven't had anything yet that I haven't enjoyed on the menu. And I enjoy trying the different non-IPA beers. Most seating is communal, long connected tables that utilizes the space the best and supports connection. There's some bar seating and outdoor seating. It's a family-friendly place and it's busy and loud as hell in the Winter season. I'm not the only person who loves this place. Vegans and vegetarians can find something but won't have a lot of options. I came back once when I was overcharged but didn't notice it right away. They immediately corrected the mistake without making me prove anything or feel like a criminal. Zero drama. I really appreciated that. Vanessa L. "We have finally found our favorite lunch spot in Bonney Lake! Their sandwiches hit the spot that we sometimes buy ourselves two sandwiches for lunch and to save for later for dinner. On our first visit, i ordered the Zesty Pesto while my fiance ordered the French Dip. The French Dip turned out to not be his favorite. The dip just didnt mix well with the sandwich, but the sandwich lacked a bit of flavor so it didnt really mesh well. The Zesty Pesto... as an obsessive lover of pesto... i absolutely am honestly obsessed with this sandwich. It has now become my go to order each visit. They are noting that the Zesty Pesto is now a basil pesto and not an artichoke pesto. The basil just fits better in the sandwich in my opinion. I feel if it was artichoke, it would have more of a smoky flavor. Recently since our second visit, my fiance has been ordering the Roast Beef because it has so much on it. For a second sandwich, he has been recently ordering the Zesty Pesto. He loves the same reason why I love the Zesty Pesto, which is of course the basil pesto in the sandwich. For my second sandwich, I have been ordering the Gitcha Gouda. The sauce in the sandwich tastes like a mix of chipotle and mayonnaise. So fiery sweet. Doesnt help that i am obsessive lover of gouda cheese as well... so it is an automatic win for me. Keep in mind, all sandwiches are sandwiched with ciabatta bread! Plus when you order a sandwich, you get a bag of chips for free. So when we order two, we get two bag of chips. They have a variety of Tim's Original, Doritos Nacho Cheese, Fritos, Lay's Original, Crunchy Cheetos (on rare occasions), and Lay's BBQ. Overall, we will continue to order from here if we are craving for sandwiches! Yes, one sandwich is filling enough for lunch, but we need two to satisfy our craving when its dinner time."
