Huong L. "I was walking by westlake area and decided to explore a little and saw this place. It looks like they recently open but the menu looks interesting so I decided to give it a try.I got the Seahawks burrito which contains crispy salmon as the main protein and then their standard filling of Avocado, tamago, veggies, etc. Good: the burrito itself was good in flavoring and the crispy salmon was crispy and brought a nice texture to the burrito. It also come in a pretty nice togo box. Bad: portion is a little small for the price. The burrito itself was not wrapped properly as it broke apart when you start eating it. Each time I take a layer of the wrapper off, the burrito breaks even more, so you definitely need napkin which defeat the purpose. They are new so hopefully they will work out some of the kinks but I can see this place being a go to place for a grab and go."

Wasn't expecting all the anime art on the walls, to be fair I hadn't done my fair share of research / Yelp search on this spot. It's fun inside with plenty to look at. They have a bunch of food on the menu that I wanted to try but the chicken poke was calling for me today. Super crunchy chicken katsu, like some of the BEST chicken katsu I have had. It was seasoned! The poke was good, tons of stuff in it for the indecisive individual aka me though next time I would say no pickled ginger. Flavors were solid and complimented each other well. Partner got the spicy tonkatsu chasu and it was pretty good too. Overall, solid experience for us both. Prices were on par with other places and portions were generous."

Parking: it was hard to find parking on the street, so we parked at barbershop, smoke shop parking space. Service was quick because we ordered everything on touch panel and name was called when food was ready. Restaurant is pretty small because they have 4 small tables and long table by the window. I enjoyed salmon poke with sweet soy sauce and musubi! Musubi rice was soft with delicious with sweet sauce. I'll definitely come back!!"

Vanessa L. "I have to admit, the main reason why i went here was because of the Naruto inspired artwork. It felt like this shop was their own version of "Ichiraku Ramen". We ordered two ramens to eat at the restaurant for lunch then we ordered a sushi burrito and a dupbap to go.For the ramen, we ordered:-Tonkotsu Spicy Seafood Miso- so spicy, the broth tasted hearty, not at all watery. Honestly a bigger bowl than most ramen places ive been to, which is not a bad thing at all. Hence, they were super generous with the seafood.-Tonkotsu Chashu Chicken- the chashu was super juicy and chewy. Not an oily broth at all and was hearty as well. For the sushi burrito, I ordered: -Gangnam Style Burrito- huge and crunchy. I could only eat half and ended up saving the rest for later. The spicy mayo definitely helped increase the spice on the burrito. Plus, as a cheese lover... loved the cream cheese flavor throughout the burrito. For the rice dish, the husband ordered:-Sumo Chicken Katsu Dupbap- super crispy and juicy. The teriyaki sauce and yam yam sauce were the highlights to the meal."

Crystal H. "Pleasantly surprised at this poke shop! I got a 2 fish bowl and if you want another scoop it's $1 more. It comes with all the toppings with no limit or extra charge besides avocado! Other stores charge for a limited amount so it was nice that they asked instead, "what don't you want." They ran out of the flowers, so it would have been nice to know what that tasted like. But I came during Halloween so they gave us gummy bears as a nice little treat. The chalkboard with the menu was very busy and hard to read, so you're better off reading off their menu cards. The restaurant is tiny and no dine in at this time. The poke instead was pretty solid and filled me up. Th sauce was a nice combo of sweet and spicy and either over powered the other. The decor of the place was kind of odd. Star Wars and k-pop seemed to be the reoccurring theme with even life sized characters on display. But did you know the vape shop next door, Star Vape, connects? Sounds like it was a expansion. An odd expansion, but they do make good poke!"

Margot C. "We grabbed lunch from here today. We came around 1:30 and there were only a couple of people in line so service was quick. They have a regular size (2 scoops of protein, $13.99) or large size (3 scoops of protein, $15.99) build your own bowl option or preset poke bowls for you to order. We both got the regular size. It comes with your choice of base, white rice, brown rice, mixed greens, or zoodles ($1 more). I got white rice and my fiancé opted for brown. I chose the spicy tuna and the Hawaiian ahi for my proteins. The spicy tuna was cubes of tuna tossed in a spicy sauce while the Hawaiian ahi was more of your traditional ahi poke (had onions and shoyu). For sauces, I got the citrus ponzu and Maui fire. The Maui fire packed a good amount of heat but was delicious. You can get as many mix ins and toppings here as you want which was nice. For mix ins I got cucumber, seaweed strips, and sweet onions. I also added avocado which was $1 more. For toppings I got crab, spicy crab, edamame, roasted corn, and masago. I also got all the crunchy toppings (tempura bits, crispy onion, furikake, togirashi, etc.). Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the roasted corn. I would have preferred just sweet corn since the roasted corn had a strong flavor that didn't really go well with the rest of the bowl (it tastes more like something you would expect in Mexican food). Overall I really enjoyed my poke bowl and was stuffed from the regular sized bowl. The only downsides were some of the rice was a bit mushy and the eco friendly bowls they use caused the rice and toppings to stick to it and have to be scraped off."

Eileen H. "This place was just okay. They have a lot of things going on (coffee, poke, boba, hot foods), and I wasn't overly impressed with my first visit. However, it wasn't bad considering that they don't really specialize in one thing. I stopped by during lunch with my coworkers and ordered their salmon poke bowl. The bowl was fine, but it's not one of the better bowls I've had, and here's why:1) The amount of fish is substantially less than other poke establishments.2) They skimped out on my toppings. I could count the number of corn kernels and edamame I received in my bowl, because it was hardly a decent scoop.3) I don't think lettuce goes with poke bowls, and I would recommend subbing that out.4) Canned corn5) The sauce is pretty much sriracha and mayo. However, given its proximity to my work location, it's not a bad option and would come back if I were really craving poke.I also ordered the pina colada smoothie with boba. This was also okay but I'd probably skip this next time since there's much better boba shops in the area (i.e. Sharetea)."

They have a decent amount of mix-ins and you can also add unlimited toppings. The poke bowl didn't have a ton of fish (just one small scoop each) but the toppings were enough to make for a good portion. It was flavorful even on top of the sauces that I added. The bowl was very filling and the couple times that I've been to FOB Poke Bar I've left pretty full and satisfied with what I got. I wish they included more fish in the scoops but I guess they make up for it with their abundant toppings."

And Just Poke has played a huge role in my obsession. It all started with the Bellingham Just Poke, delivering poke goodness through Uber Eats all last summer (aka 2020, the Summer of Takeout). When I moved to the Eastside I was THRILLED to discover a Just Poke location nearby in Issaquah. Then imagine my delight when I noticed yet another (their newest!) Just Poke in Maple Valley, mere blocks from my parents' house. This, my friends, is a true poke trifecta.Just Poke, I recently learned, is a locally-based mini chain devoted to serving up fresh, tasty poke where you can either order a pre-determined bowl from their menu or (my fave) "Subway-style" where you walk down the line and point to what you'd like. My current go-to is the three-protein bowl, with ahi, spicy ahi and either another dose of ahi *or* creamy scallops. I've tried their seared ahi as well. Then I choose all the toppings and sauces...so many to choose from. From classics like seaweed and furikake to their amazingly delicious crab-with-a-k salad (I usually get an extra scoop), avocado, and crunchy onions. And speaking of sauce...well, theirs are amazing. I love the ginger shoyu and the one with wasabi in it. But I've never had a bad sauce there.Ordering online is easy, too. I can customize my bowl just as I can in the store. And it's always delivered fresh in their signature Just Poke Tiffany-blue bag. Oh and if you're a musabi fan theirs is excellent and a nice snack after you're done gobbling down the poke bowl! Thanks, JP for making 2020 (and now, 2021) a little more delicious."

Interesting and surprisingly good. had the spicy salmon and spicy tuna and had spicy snow craw as one of my toppings. My son had a similar type. We each ordered one of their teas with hour meals. I had the Mango Milk Tea with 50% sugar and my son had the Matcha Bubble Tea with Mango Jelly added as a topping. Overall, it was delicious. For the large poke bowl, I got the salmon, Hawaiian tuna, and scallops, with all the fixings that usually are featured in a poke bowl in America - crab salad, seaweed salad, cucumbers, corn, and many other toppings. Price for quantity is solid, but the quality was not as great as I had hoped. The major thing in a poke bowl is freshness of the sashimi, and I did not quite see that in here. The salmon cuts were tough, and the tuna and scallops did not taste particularly fresh. The other stuff were good - crab salad and seaweed salad were flavorful and carried the dish. Spam musubi was fairly standard yet filling, a bit on the sweeter side but just the right preparation for me. With many other poke places in the area, I was a little bit underwhelmed by my experience here."

This place is pretty tiny.In long I love having poke down the hill a few miles from me. Now we have this new place is just as good and has a long-enough menu...and it's half a mile from my house. I love it. We got in here during their soft opening, after more than one friend had already tried it and fallen hard for it. As others have noted, the owners are the coolest, nicest people. Evidently they fly in fresh fish every day. Thankfully, the finished product is still reasonably priced. We got two bowls, each with 3 different fish in it. Everything was excellent--tender, no fishy smell, tons of flavor in the seasonings. Lots of shellfish options, which you don't see everywhere. Great flavors in the dipping/topping sauces, including a real kick of heat in the spicy one. We also tried the dried fish, which has plenty of flavor and is probably a little chewier than sheet-style jerky. A little too chewy for me, though I enjoyed a couple pieces before I was sure about that. Poke always, always sounds good. My buddy Matt once taught me that you don't have to bother looking for inexpensive sushi. You can focus on high-end dining when you want sushi if you have good poke places around, which usually cost much less than sushi, and they scratch the same itch. I've been coming here for years now, and I honestly have no idea why I have never gotten around to rating it. It's right near 99, so it's super easy to get to, but even being a block off that thoroughfare makes it feel almost secluded. You see a medium-sized commercial building with big sturdy metal garage doors rolled up, and probably a stream where water has been draining out. They take care of the stock here. There are big open tanks of shellfish when you walk in. Plenty of fresh water cycling over them. They have live crabs, which they'll help ya with. The bivalves you can scoop yourself with the little baskets. The display case in back has tons of fin fish cut into filets and steaks. Prices are often lower than supermarkets, with slightly better quality. Some big-box stores might beat them on price here and there. They offer tons of poke made in house, side dishes, and quite a few sashimi-grade cuts in the case. I see quite a few folks who look Japanese every time I shop here. This week we picked up seaweed salad, some rad smoked salmon garlic dip, and a great filet of Copper River sockeye. I'm already craving all of them again.
