Novabox Karaoke

As much as they provided the service that we needed that night. The place was dirty and stunk of cigarettes. They had plastic wrap on their smoke detectors and cigarette butts everywhere. I had a headache 30 mins in from the smell. There are better private karaoke places that you can go to.

My booked the VIP room for birthday party. The picture on Yelp looks much bigger than in person. Our group was about ~25 people and it was way too hot to accommodate 30 adults. No ventilation or AC. Our group had to go outside for some fresh air every so often. The sound and songs selection was good. Also wish they had more solid snacks/food selection.

I really wanted to like this place but there are a lot of things that need fixing here. The drink menu is pretty pricy especially for being in an area with a lot of college students. Its a bit ridiculous to charge $23 for a simple bottle of soju when you can buy it a few block down the street for a fourth of the cost. The food menu was also a bit slim and thought it was strange to see instant noodles being marked up to $8The workers were really nice and helpful in showing us how to find songs/artists. There were a lot of popular artists and song that weren't anywhere to be found though so that was a bit of a disappointment.

This new karaoke is the best place to go to for fun times with friends. Their alcohol collections are amazing with beers to champagne and wine. The rooms are decorated with led light strips that looks fantastic. The most important thing is that their staffs are very professional and friendly . Overall this is an amazing place and I would highly recommend trying it out!

Great place for karaoke. Drinks are a bit overpriced in my opinion but our group had lots of fun!

Good karaoke place on the ave! Loved the bright lighting in the rooms, better design than some other places I've gone to around here. I recommend getting the combo so you can get 7 bottles of soju. Didn't get the fruit and nuts platter that was mentioned on the menu, instead we got 3 bags of chips when we asked about this. Was told we'd be charged for 3 hours for our party, but with the combo you can choose to the 2 hour option! Another tip is to search the artist you want rather than the song, sometimes you won't find the song if you search songs.

Very awesome place to host parties and events. Fantastic vide and friendly staff! Good bubbles and wines selection! Will be back for sure! Street parking sucks tho.

Sound quality is perfect and got many different languages songs in their system. They got privates rooms it's perfect to hangout with friends.

My friends and I came to Novabox for karaoke this weekend after seeing an Instagram reel about it. It is the newest karaoke spot in U-District.We made reservations for 8pm and we're promptly seated in a room. The interior was nice and complete with black sofas, dice, and lots of glowing lights. However, when we stepped in the room, we were overwhelmed with the odor from old cigarette smoke. Thankfully, they had a fan but this place really should be a no smoking zone.The employee showed us how to use the song selection tablet; the device was your standard karaoke bar equipment. You simply search for the song or artist using a touch pad and add it to the queue. Or it seemed simple, but the song selection was super limited and some songs you could find only by searching artist and some artists you could find only be searching for a song. It was quite annoying to say the least. Also, they have an app for your phone, but it required We Chat, and even with We Chat, it didn't work. The employee working there said it wasn't useful after we asked. Additionally, some songs were on the machine but needed to be downloaded, which we were unable to do.After fiddling around with the machine some more, we decided to hop karaoke bars and go to Moon Walk in ID for a better selection... only to find that they are owned by the same company and have the same dumb karaoke machine. At least Moon Walk has more downloaded songs to choose from.Overall: 3/5 for experience, 3.5/5 for atmosphere

The atmosphere was great and great music! Customer service was very friendly! Would definitely come back
