"I came to Mawadda Cafe on Sat night. There were no customers in the restaurant, but we decided to eat. The store was well organized and the tables were clean. It took us quite some time to choose the menu. In the meantime, two people came in and picked up food. We ordered a veggie combo and a Samosa Plate. The food took a long time to come probably the restaurant was busy with phone and online orders. Veggie combo is a fresh made spanakopita triangular spinach pies, falafel, hummus, and stuffed grape. This dish was quite large and even two people could not finish it. Spanakopita triangular spinach pie is crispy and has a strong spinach flavor, falafel is a little salty for me but a good taste, hummus is a little watering taste. Samosa Plate is a golden crispy triangular pies all stuffed with a delicious filling. Choice of filling are chicken, beef and veggie. We only ate one samosa and took the rest home. There are many vegetarian and vegan choices here. I would like to try other things next time."
"I usually wait to try a place more than once before reviewing but the food was so good. I had the gyro because I heard this spot was a hidden gem in the neighborhood, and wow it was amazing and huge! Great flavors, lots of meat, good balance with veggies, and just enough sauce, plus the pita was soft and fresh. Got the greek fries too since I was having a bad day, and it truly hit the spot, the garlic sauce they came with was truly outstanding, not sure if it was tzatziki but it was garlicky and delicious. On top of it, the guy at the register was very nice and prompt. In all, I'm very glad I tried this, especially after the bad day I had."

The baba ghanoush was very tasty and smoky...amazing! The chicken kabobs came with saffron rice and grilled tomato. Generous portion, tender, mildly spiced chicken were a joy to eat. They do not serve any alcoholic drinks, so be prepared to enjoy the meal with3any adult beverages!"
"A Mediterranean food truck offering classic dishes such as gyros, falafels, and salads. The business also has a couple of restaurants in the Greater Seattle area. -----Lamb Gyro Salad with Pita ($9.99).The meat was tender and nicely seasoned. The salad was fresh and the accompanying pita bread was two small slices. It's not that filling of a meal, but portion was adequate enough.-----"
"Came here for lunch after doing a walk with friends at nearby Lincoln Park. It's kind of unassuming at first as many of the spots on this drag are, but this food is legit.I got the Chicken shawarma with Rice (would've went pita but decided against gluten this visit). I wasn't sure which sauce to try so the young lady gave me a dab of both which was really cool. I got the Greek fusion purple slaw which has tzatziki, garlic herb aioli and feta. It may have been built up hunger but this was SO good. I don't know what kinda sauce they gave me additionally but it was awesome. It reminded me of Halal Guys (Those from back in NYC know what I'm talkin' about). I tried some of the falafel and hummus. Also, good. Above average. My friend got some Garlic fries for the table, they were OK but the real star of the show was the Coriander ketchup. If you get fries, make sure it comes with this.To wash it all down I got a mint lemonade. Pretty good, not the best of this type of lemonade I've had, but good and not bad at $3.50.My only criticism here is they serve you up in those plastic containers that are technically reusable. You know the ones. You can rinse them out and recycle them. Can't really do that here, unless you take it with you. Why not have compostable packaging?? Besides that though, this is some good eatin'. If you're in the area and looking for falafel, shawarma or other meditterean or similar fare. It's here and it's good."
"Ummm, this place is so good, and the portions are huge. I didn't dine in the restaurant as I ordered via door dash, but it didn't matter. The food was still quick and yummy! At first. I was bummed because I ordered regular fries, and I received Greek fries. After tasting the Greek Fries, my daughter and I were no longer bummed! Wow ! They were so good! I also ordered the shish tawook- it came with hummus, salad, and rice. I'd say it could have fed a few more people considering my daughter and I just put half in the fridge as leftovers. I don't live in this area, but if I did - I'd eat this a lot!"
"Wow. That's honestly the only thing my partner and I could say back and forth as we dined on what's undoubtedly the best Mediterranean food in the neighborhood and (...don't tell my beloved Zaina) perhaps in Seattle?! Wow!We got a smorgasbord of different appetizers, because let's be honest they're the best things on the menu. The roasted cauliflower zahara and the dip was incredible. Nice and tangy and nutty sesame tahini. The stuffed grape leaves were so incredibly flavorful and again that dip. Whew! Loved the lemon that came with it and ended up putting a bit on everything.Their pita is great and thick, and boy of boy I could eat their spreads all day. The hummus is thick and rich and covered with excellent olive oil. And my favorite, the baba ganoush. Can never get enough. I make my own... And George's is amazing! Smoky, spiced and seasoned. PerfectThe spinach pies were great, too. Crispy and comes with excellent olives, pickles and feta. And to top it all off...that baklava. Wow. Beautiful burnt honey, giving it a complex rich sweetness that wasn't as one-note as some can be. Pistachio! So goodAnd I can't leave a review without mentioning how absolutely sweet their service is. Very considerate and kind. We'll definitely be back! Thank you!!"
"I went to Zaina just this past weekend and enjoyed it considerably. I got their gyro sandwich and really enjoyed it. As typically with Greek food it left me quite full and satisfied for quite a bit of time afterwards. It was by keeping this in mind why I only got the sandwich and not the plate which included French Fries. The space is fairly small as far as seating goes other than one larger room which could occupy maybe about six or seven people at one table."
"I had Gyro Saj bookmarked because of an earlier compelling post from fellow Elite friend, Elizabeth. I set my gps from work in Woodinville for the best route to try Gyro Saj on Seattle's First Hill (12/14/22) via 522W to I-405S to 520W to I-5S and took the Denny/Stewart exit via Boren to Madison, easy peasy. However with the ongoing road construction, finding street parking was not. So I opted to park in an adjacent parking garage and luckily Gyro Saj was right at the corner of Madison and Summit. It was bustling because of lunch rush and broadcasting the second half of a World Cup match on the flat screen. Convenient location to major hospitals and for students from Seattle University and O'Dea High School. I placed an order for a Classic Gyro and baklava. Nice that water or hot tea was also available while dining onsite. My order was prepped with such efficiency, I was able to savor a delicious lunch prior to an eye appointment at the Nordstrom Tower. Very fortuitous and convenient!Their Classic Gyro was prepared with such care - succulent portions of gyro meat, fresh crisp lettuce and tomatoes. I had to pick out the red onions though to prevent onion breath. Deft addition of yogurt sauce was the perfect touch. All of this was wrapped nicely in a soft warmed pita. It was so generously packed that using a fork was useful. The baklava was also a large triangle with tender layers of honey, nuts, and phyllo. It was spot on, fresh and not cloyingly sweet. Terrific find! Definitely recommended!"
"Some of the best in seattle! No reservations. We came by around 7pm on a Sunday and no wait. We had options of where we could sit and we sat directly at bar.We ordered:-set of 3 dips $18-3 extra pita $2/ea-lettuce $13-wood fired squash $16 -anchovie $9-sausage $18Definitely too heavy on the carbs. Would have been nice if staff gave a nudge, since it was two of us, but again, it was my own fault. Their pita is delicious so it hits you mid-way through the meal. Ended up leaving 2-2.5 pieces. I recommend someone eating a max of two pitas haha.Flavors and texture are always great at Homer. Street parking only."
"**vegetarian review**Who doesnt like Mamnoon Street. I am yet to meet people who dont appreciate this place. I have been there for many years and tried basically the entire menu. I used to love fleifleih which isnt on the menu anymore. Their Falafal wrap is awesome and very very filling. Their Mujadara is so so good as well - this used to be my goto order at their sister restaurant - anar. Their new special - cant remember the name but has aubergine is really good too. See the trend? everything they make is very well done - so dont think twice!"

This is a Hole in the wall kind of place. There is no Ambiance but the Food and Service is amazing. One of the the best Mediterranean food we have tasted. We will go back if we ever visit Seattle again!

Chicken shawarma platter was amazing! $18 but a huge portion definitely can make it into two meals. It came with a side salad pita as well. Rice and chicken were full of flavor and very tender. My partner got the lamb gyro and Greek fries, it was good but mine was better Can't wait to go back.

I need to come back more times to experience the full menu. My meal was so good. The steak kabob was so tender and the rice was incredibly good. I had read yelp reviews about the Pistachio ice cream and was not disappointed. It is home made and an excellent finish to a terrific meal. I will be back!!

The Gyro itself tasted OK, pretty typical Gyro. The main reason for the -2 stars is that I had my food 30 seconds after my order was placed, which means that it was precooked and sitting in a warmer. Fries do not do well in a warmer and tasted as such. The guy working the truck was very nice, but I will not return to get a premade meal sitting and waiting for someone to pay too much for it.

After a cold, damp walk by the water, my friends and I were in need of a hearty lunch. We decided on falafel since it's something we all enjoy, and this place did not disappoint. I had some of the crispiest falafel balls ever! I ordered the rice bowl and it comes with a small salad in addition to your choice of flavor/sauce. I had the middle eastern style and the spicy green condiment. It was quite spicy! My only criticism is that the sauce wasn't very flavorful. I actually tasted the tzatziki and liked it better! Also the loaded fries are not to be missed! So good! The cool thing is that they also have a fridge full of condiments and ready to go sides that you can take home and enjoy later.

Wow I'm impressed! Nice location next to Fred Meyer's strip. Large portion with lots of meat and veggies, flavorful. Got the Greek fries with sauce on the side so they wouldn't be soggy with a to go order. Very friendly service as well.

Came here yesterday for takeout with some friends and we were absolutely blown away. The service here was the best I have EVER had in seattle, the owners of this establishment are so kind and helpful. This is a hard find nowadays in this city, and I cannot emphasize enough how genuine the owners were when helping us order. As for the food, the portions were massive! We ordered some appetizers and a Greek salad and between the three of us still had so much leftover. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who's craving Mediterranean and trying to support a family owned business. I will definitely be returning!

Super tasty! The owners are kind and very quick with service. I highly recommend their falafel plate. Glad I finally visited, but it's too expensive for me to go back. Also, the noise from the road makes it difficult to enjoy the seated area. Check them out!
Visit Restaurant Page"One of the dishes that greatly stood out to me in this fast-casual / grab and go Mediterranean place is the "shawarmini". Currently, they are $5 each or 3 for $13, and I opted to get the 3 for $13 option as they had 3 different types of shawarminis and so I decided to get one of each:Cauliflower al pastor: fried cauliflower with pineapple salsa that adds a hint of sweetness and tanginess. This one is a great vegetarian option though the filling is a bit on the watery side.Chicken harra verde: the chicken is so juicy and tender, and the onions further enhance the flavor.Lamb awarma: my favorite of the 3. There were still some small pieces of cauliflowers, and there is also the lamb which is kind of like a ground meat texture. The sauce is super fragrant and pairs very well with the ingredients. It was a nice touch that they had pistachio and pine nut. Food came fairly quick - during lunch time the dish was made to order and took about 10 minutes. Think of the shawarmini as a Mediterranean style taco. Each one is substantial and quite filling, and I was absolutely stuffed after ordering 3 of them!"
"In my quest to try every food court establishment, we stopped by Zuba and were really impressed. Nice employees, yummy food, quick preparation and large servings! At food courts, my usual algorithm is to eat at the place with the shortest line, but I would seek Zuba out next time too regardless of line.We had the Kofta Wrap and the Chicken Gyro Platter. Both were surprisingly large. Well seasoned, super tasty. And the people taking the order and making the food were super helpful and friendly. For a food court dining establishment Zuba is *excellent!*"
"Food was great! We had the falafel wraps and they were mad quickly and tasted delicious! Definitely recommend for a quick bite"
"Tonight was my first dinner at this place. It was a long drive from Kirkland but my son and I wanted to try the place since We don't have any good Mediterranean Restaurants on the Eastside. We got there around 7:45 pm and the restaurant was full. We were lucky to get one of the last few tables. The place looks very nice with nice pictures showing different part of the history of Iraq. Also the place was very well decorated for Ramadan. The staff were friendly. But this is truly not the best time to judge the service. It's Ramadan so most customers there will show up at once after fasting all day and they all Exocet the food out at the save time which is so difficult fir any restaurant to handle. Also keeping in mind all of the take out orders at the same time. So, the service was slow. It took me half an hour to get my Turkish coffee . But again this is nit a normal time so I will be able to have a better feeling about the service after Ramadan. The food was good. The best dish was the meat shawarma. This was the real shawarma and it was tender and fresh. The falafels were good too. The kabobs were just ok, I had much better Iraqi kabobs than what I tried tonight. The Tabboleh salad was also just ok. The complimentary chicken soup was good and so was the fresh baked bread. The Turkish coffee was great but again it took half an hour to get. I will go back for the Shawarma again. The only reason I did nit give this place five stars is because of the slow service but we will see how the service is after Ramadan. This place nit only have the best Shawarma in the State but it's also the only pjs e that serves an a real authentic shawarma cooked on the shawarma machine so I highly recommend the meat shawarma plate or sandwich on the thin bread."
"This restaurant serves great Mediterranean food. I ordered the gyro plate that consisted of gyro meat, rice, hummus, pita bread and salad. Every portion of the plate was delicious. I ordered baklava for dessert, it was okay. if you enjoy Mediterranean food, this is a great choice."
"Food inspectors eat here. Do I need to say more? Clean. Great friendly service. Delicious food. Efficient online order and take out processses. Enjoy!"
"So happy I found this gem. Super easy to find. The owner was very friendly & welcoming when my friend & I walked in. Growing up in Germany, gyros was always one of my fav dishes! I can't tell you how this lamb gyro made me feel lmao it was the best I have had since moving to the states, their tzatziki sauce is probably the best I have ever had! The restaurant was a little small, very clean kept. The food was just amazing! I definitely recommend."
"Mr.Gyros provided lunch for a work function I had today. Thanks to them, lunch was great! I had never had Mr. Gyros before, but knowing how close they are to where I live, I will have to stop in to experience their whole menu. I had the lamb gyro with a side of Greek fries. Everything was delicious and the ingredients were fresh. I especially loved the soft and pillowy pita bread. Sammy was our guy today and he was so kind and awesome. It was amazing to see him make food for a little over 100 people all by himself. We all enjoyed our food. Mr. Gyros is A+ for me!"
"Wow the food at this place blew me away! I've been meaning to check this place out and after an appointment in West Seattle, I stopped by to order takeout. I ordered the gyro plate and the greek fries. They had a tv playing a world cup game so that helped pass the time pretty quickly - maybe just under a ten minute wait. The guys working behind the counter were very kind! Excellent customer service. The food was incredible. The smell on the drive home was irresistible. The flavors are amazing. And the food is very garlicky which I love. The Greek fries which are covered in spices and feta and white sauce was delicious. And the fries were cooked perfect. Like a nice crunch and crisp on the outside, but fluffy inside. I loved these fries. The gyro on the gyro plate was soooo good. Tender pieces of yummy meat. The rice underneath was good and with the white sauce, every spoonful I ate was so good. The plate also came with this cucumber and tomato salad which was refreshing. And there was also a piece of pita bread and a dip (wasn't hummus but maybe a white colored dip (maybe tzatziki??). It was so much food! The plate and the fries is like two or three meals worth or definitely good for sharing. They share a small parking lot with the Starbucks and they take credit card. Enjoy!"
"Alright!!! Mamnoon was my favorite, so was the M bar so naturally I knew I'd like this place. But'n unfortunately, I've been here many times for large group dinners. Shared food. And never quite enjoy my food. Till last week. I came by myself and also for smaller one on one meetings. And I love it!!I've always like their chicken shawarma but love the appetizers more. Now I found my goto.Falafel; labneh, extra Arabic bread! Fried Halloumi! Cauliflower!Everything is just right. Though Halloumi last 2 times were both extra salty and I couldn't eat it. I still love the ambiance and service enough to return. Jordan is amazing! But! My favorite part though: their coffee. Turkish coffee, blood orange latte, baklava latte! Just all kinds of amazing. I absolutely love it. Went back twice in one week. Can't wait to go back again and soon!!"
"We love to try new restaurants and support local businesses. Gyro station came up on our search and we decided to give it a try.We ordered 3 orders of gyro plate. The salad was creamy and fresh (no wilted leaves here). Even though it was small and there were no olives, it was packed with flavor. They gave a decent amount of food as you can tell with the pictures. The meat was well cut and seasoned -not dry or greasy. Even the pita was cooked just how I like it - no charred parts and whatever they had on it smelled great and added a subtle taste. My toddler approved it 100% and asked for seconds on the rice and loved the meat and ate all the veggies! With 5 stars, we will be visiting at a later time!"
"Samir's probably has the best Gyro Plate I have ever eaten in my life. I have never tasted lamb and beef that tender and it's so well seasoned. My only issue is that is just isn't a good bang for your buck. A majority of my plate was the salad and rice. The serving size for the meat was pitiful and that was the best part. I also wish they gave me hummus like a lot of Mediterranean places do on the Ave. The food is absolutely divine but just not worth the price for what you're getting."
"Ended up in this area past dinner time, and this place smelled amazing so we went in and ordered food to go. We ordered a chicken shawarma plate and a lamb shish kabob plate. I didn't notice that there wasn't a big spinning gyro cone to cut meat off of, and the cook actually cooked our order on the grill. Maybe they couldn't do it with fewer tourists visiting during the pandemic? Anyway it was totally fine, just not what I expected. The portion was MASSIVE. We had 2 meals each out of these plates and they were large meals. Definitely hit the spot for some flavorful meat and overall hearty meal!"
"Great quality food, really good service. I had the lamb kebab and my wife had their felafel both were made to order and their bread was really good I Enjoyed it very much."
