"Amazing service and amazing ruben sandwich! This place is hidden in the far corner near the freeway but I will always go out of my way to this place if I am in town. Authentic and tasty, Great balance in flavors. I highly recommend this local joint with so much history."
"I love Baldham Farm! It's not just because the owners are personal friends of mine (you rock, Miriam and Dan!) but also because it's a farm that I really enjoy visiting and can support. The location is gorgeous, the owners are super friendly and accommodating, and the animals are treated very well. Baldham Farm has received certified organic status, so you can eat your food knowing it wasn't processed with chemicals, or that the animals were mistreated. When you visit the farm, you can see how happy the animals are (the pigs KILL me - they are the BEST).The prices for meat are very reasonable. In fact, I was telling my friends that they aren't charging enough! I have personally never tasted meat that was so delicious. It freezes very well, too, and makes for really tasty crockpot meals (I'm a single, working professional). Along with the meats, Miriam makes the cutest and most amazing-smelling soaps. They are made out of completely organic materials and leave your hands feeling super soft and smelling nice. If you visit the farm, you can also purchase cheese cutting boards and other wonderful treasures.Keep doing what you do, Miriam and Dan! You are such an inspiration to me!"
"A medium sized grocery store with anything you need for dinner including a great beer and (especially) wine collection. It's family owned and operated with a bunch of hardworking friendly people!"
"A classic butcher shop. Plenty of help so I didn't have to wait at all. I ordered 4 steaks and they were cut exactly how I wanted them. The quality of the meat is up there. It's a bit spendy but you get what you pay for. I saw somebody pick up some nice marrow bones and a bag of nice looking meat scraps. I do believe I'll be surprising my dog the next time I go in there."
"The sandwiches here are so good! I've been coming here for years! Highly recommend this place for lunch."
"Nice little butcher shop with great quality meats. This place is not large. It's not the best butcher shop I've ever used by a long shot, but it's good. The beef quality is superb. And they have a variety of their own sausages and of more exotic meats (frozen). Rabbit, etc. These small butcher shops are disappearing. Snohomish is fortunate to have this one. Support it."
"I echo many sentiments mentioned by other reviewers. I wish I could head to Espi's for lunch whenever I wanted. Until that day comes, I stalk them from this festival to that. My favorite is the combo plate - chicken skewer, lumpia, and pancit. The chicken skewer is seasoned well with just the right amount of sauce and cooked perfectly. The lumpia rolls are small but rolled tight full of the perfect balance of ingredients. The pancit contains more than one kind of noodle, which I like very much. On most days that I spot Espi's, they have sticky rice balls. For just $1, you get a skewer of three of these lovely gems. Sticky, sweet, and the perfect portable summer snack.Espi's is often my "go to" place to hit up at festivals. They offer a product that I like for a reasonable price that is reliable. Yum!"
"I am going to have to return for some of the food, but the groceries are great. So much variety in a relatively small space. Clean. Helpful. The only reason I am taking off one star is the meat didn't look great. Big selection, but I question the quality and freshness. And that's too bad. With some improvement at the meat counter, this could easily be five stars."
"Newly opened international grocery store close to home (we are elated)! A plethora of grocery selections, clean and spacious aisles, with both refrigerated items and fresh produce, and welcoming owners! Looking forward to more south Indian brands selections. I sympathize with the store opening coincides the COVID-19 "stay home", not many customers at the time we visited. But hey, it means social distancing are well maintained here. Give it a try! Support local businesses. :)"
"While in Seattle, we needed to stock up on some Korean groceries, so we came to this H Mart.As other H Mart locations, they have snack items, candies, produce, specialty items, houseware goods, as well as some pre-made hot food. We picked up some veggies, meats for KBBQ, and ramen. The store is a bit smaller, but seems well-stocked. There were also items that I haven't seen in other H Marts, like the butter kimchi ramen!Plenty of parking in the large lot.+well-stocked selections+parking in shared plaza lot"
"If you want to make street style tacos at home, this is the place to go. They have so many cuts of meat, beef, pork, chicken that are perfect for grilling. Tell them you want the meat seasoned and they'll add seasoning and a citrus marinade at no extra charge. Add some tortillas, queso fresco and some fresh pico and you have an amazing Mexican meal. They also have pre-made fajita filling, beef jerky, pastor taco filling and a small selection of Mexican pantry goods, vegetables and pastries. Friendly service and reasonable prices."
"I love coming to this place around 4 p.m. the aroma of freshly baked pan fills the air. This place isn't only a meat shop and store but a panaderia (bakery) as well. So far this store has the best mexican style breads. Its always soft and fresh. Its never old. There's a large assortment of bread everything from conchas to chivas and even muffins. But get here to late and its slim pickings. They also do tres leches birthday cakes. The cakes are a little expensive but are muy ricas They have a large assortment of mexican goods like spices and candies and piñatas. And ofcoarse the meat selection is the best around. There's also fresh cheeses as well. There are phone cards and services for sending money."

Second time was just as great as the first. The Reuben is by far one of the best I have eaten. Warning...it can be a hot mess, but doesn't that contribute to the flavor and texture and wonderful experience? MHM makes sandwiches with love and passion! Keep up the great work!

I have made two large orders from this farm twice now. I am honestly hesitant to write a review because everything we have purchased and cooked so far has been so amazing... I just want to keep it my secret. The owner used to sell at the local farmers market but this year has decided to just do direct order and pick up. This actually works much better for me and my family. They always have our order ready to go and are very friendly. Everything is labeled and wrapped up to go right into the freezer. With the way stores have been slim pickings and higher prices for less quality. I wanted to cut out the grocery store and start supporting a local family. I am so thankful we found Baldham farm. I already feel we will be life long customers.

Melts in Your Mouth! That is the consensus for Kelso Meats! If you are from Snohomish, you already know just how great their products are. If you have not been in there yet, dash in right now! What I love:o The quality is fantastic across the board (oh...no pun intended!)o The variety is just as terrific!o Their product knowledge and customer service? YAY!!!o Not only is this truly a family-owned business, but they are also great members of the Snohomish community, how cool is that?I have lost track of all of the different items we have bought over the years, but our two must recent were delicious! The brisket was perfectly trimmed for the maximum flavor and turned out, even for an amateur like me, FABULOUS! Again, they were happy to give great suggestions and tips that make the customer into a culinary hero! Last night we tried a couple of their hand-seasoned, signature burgers, the blue cheese, and the cheddar ones...delightful!! These 1/3 lb. darlings actually STAY pretty close to the same size when cooked! Clearly, there is not a ton of water dumped in. And they remained incredibly tender when grilled! Okay...point of fact, even the next day as leftovers, nuked in the microwave, they were still fantastic!Seriously, they are worth every penny!

Espi's has frozen foods at 99 Ranch (on 99 in Edmonds, Great Wall Mall in Kent, other locations) and Uwajimaya, as well as other Asian markets. The big draw for me, over that (though I have bought from the grocery), is their booth at the festivals at Seattle Center! They do other festivals like the Taste of Edmonds (they were there yesterday at the Taste!), as well. I have worked off and on at the Seattle Center for years and haven't missed an opportunity to stop off at their booth when they're there to get a plate! I go at least once each festival, haha! It IS that good! Man, like Ron the Reviewer said, it really would be great if they had a restaurant! They would totally kill! I can't wait for the end of this month for Bumbershoot! They'll be back!

Quality and variety of products is good! But prices are high, and unfortunately none of the prices are visible to customers, you only find out when at the cashier and there is no receipt unless you ask for it, and even if you get a receipt there is no description of the items purchased. It just say "item 1" $X, item 2 $Y.Seems funny business!!!
Visit Restaurant Page"I saw this place on Andrew Zimmern and he made it look sooo good, so I made my bf take me here for our 4th anniversary in September. I booked a lunch reservation so we could enjoy the views from the ferry to Vashon and dine outside. Our friend and her baby also came with us so the four of us got a table under a tree outside. Service was really nice. The menu was very limited at lunch so we were able to make our decisions very quickly. We split the charcuterie plate which had a lot of assorted pates - I wasn't really a fan, but my bf seemed to really enjoy it. I ordered the BLT (one of their signature items) as my entree and I enjoyed it. The bacon was very thick cut but it wasn't limp or overly greasy. The bread was fresh and crusty. We split two desserts between three people - a strawberry shortcake and a blackberry tart - and they were both perfect summertime desserts.I would come here again if Vashon wasn't so darn hard to get to!"
"People are nice. Great quality meats and good selection. Picked up a couple chuck roasts and Ribeye steaks and they were excellent. I asked about bulk meat first time we were there and they recently reached out letting me know a 1/4 or 1/2 Beef was available. We agreed to the 1/4 at 183lbs and went over the cut sheet. A few days later got a call that the beef was ready. We showed up Saturday and picked up our order. We are super excited with our purchase. Our total cost per on is less than you can buy ground beef in the grocery. We got steaks, roasts, Maui cut ribs, carne asada, hamburger, soup bones and more. Only problem is finding a store with freezers in stock! Our little chest freezer is full and happy."
"Came here because of their famous Candy Smoked Salmon($28/lb). Everyone raves about it; It might not be as spectacular as everyone makes it out to be, but it is definitely very good, unique and something you won't find elsewhere. The name kind of threw me off because it says candy smoked. I was expecting something much sweeter but the smoked salmon flavor still comes thru and has just the right amount of sweetness to it but not overpowering.Service here is excellent too, they ask you if you're going to take it to travel and vacuum seal it for you if you are. They also have some really great jerky ($20/lb), they let us sample a few different flavors. We ended up getting about a pound of their "Thick and Tender" jerky which was as described, thicker cut and moist and tender. I especially liked the texture of it because it was not as hard and dried out.Besides the salmon and jerky, they are a high end butcher shop, so the meats will be higher priced than the local grocery store, but you get higher quality meats I'm sure. Im sure they have a select local clientele. For visitors, i highly suggest trying the candy smoked salmon, yes it's pricy but I'm just not sure where else you'd find something like this."
"Nope, gotta give Shawn's an outstanding review. I've been coming here for a number of years and they are just awesome. The quality of the meats can't be matched by any of the stores in the area, and the employees are super nice. This is my go to meat store, hands down."
"There's a ton of stuff here aside from the meats, but the butchery is the most interesting part. I did walk around the store, but I didn't even really grasp that they had videos for sale. Goes to show that if your language skills are rusty, you might not notice the stuff that's in a foreign tongue. The meats, though are an international language without a doubt. When you walk in, there are a few aisles of packaged good off to the right, past the register, off to the left, there's a long butcher case and a couple of folding tables with folding chairs. More on them later. Overall, the place feels pretty tightly packed and cluttered, but in a welcoming way.The meat case features a long row of pans full of adobada, asada, chicken, and other taco meats. All seasoned and marinated and ready to go, you just have to cook them however you want. There's chorizo and other stuff in there as well. Virtually everything is under $5 a pound--unbelievably good prices. On Sundays, they make carnitas and serve tacos and other stuff with it. The tables fill up and the carnitas sell out early, so don't drag your feet. Very stoked to have these guys in the area. We came in on a Sunday afternoon, and our of 20 people, we were the only ones who weren't native Spanish speakers. There definitely seems to be a strong community feeling here."
"This is a sweet spot on Whidbey Island. We stopped here twice during our stay on the island in 2020. Both of our visits were to grab snacks and treats for the road. I fondly remember enjoying artisan local popsicles on a picnic bench outside the shop overlooking the countryside. 3 Sisters Market packs a punch of local items like wine, soaps, take and bake pot pies, produce, granola, etc. if you're looking for edible treats, this is also a great spot for that as well. I felt save during our visit and social distancing was practiced. Half the fun is the drive through the countryside to get to 3 Sisters Cafe. Enjoy!"
"This place is incredible! I love love love that hometown feel that butcher shops give off. It is local love in the meatiest of ways! We had a friends that said they had the best jerky ever and they were not wrong. The jerky is AWARD WINNING and I am not even kidding you, we ordered so many different kinds. Buffalo, Tri - Tip, Salmon, and a few more. The food is fresh, the service was quick and we were in complete road trip mode so having snacks in the backseat that were tasty and local made it even better. The smoked candied salmon was absolutely incredible. I still dream of it. We also purchased a bbq rub that we have been using on EVERYTHING. And also a chili mix that was slow cooker heaven for the holidays right about now!"
"Haven't had a chance to try Bratwurst but go my self a Raw Milk. Tastes amazing. Customer service - awesomeKnowledge and product description- awesomeWill recommend and will come back again, again, again Hope to get some Bratwurst next time before they sold out ;)"
"Wow what a Sunday find, I mean I heard about this place however I'd never stepped into the doorways for the legendary tamales until today. A tasty treat for lunch and my gawd so inexpensive. 2 pork tamales for $2 is a total deal in my book. They exuded so much flavor you couldn't ask for much more. I only wished I'd purchased a dozen and had friends over. Now besides the tamales they have a meat counter & butcher shop for your Mexican meat needs. I also purchased some marinated steak meat for tacos later today. But various options of pork, chicken & beef plus chorizo sausage rolls for grilling. I definitely will be grilling one of those chorizo rolls very very soon. Now don't let the decor bug you cause this place is amazing. I'm sure you'll understand once you've wrapped your lips around that tamale."
"What is there to say but only the best! We don't buy meat from anywhere else! Top quality, ultra fresh, and great people!!"
"When I lived north of Seattle for my first year as a PNW resident, this was my go-to Vietnamese market.Do ask for the owner's help here if you're unsure of where to find your Asian goods; she literally thrives on helping every customer. Her name is Mama. And she will take CARE of you, like literally walk you down each aisle and grab you some of her best produce.I've cooked many delicious homemade Vietnamese meals at my rental spots in the area thanks to this little market."
"It's a decent butcher shop with a big variety, including some more exotic meats. The meat looks great, but I have to question the Prime designation on some of the beef. Especially since we bought three NY strips and sous vide cooked them, but they weren't super tender as Prime should be (especially cooked this way). I've had juicier and more tender steaks buying Fred Meyer's Choice Angus steaks. We also bought quail for Thanksgiving. Like most of the exotics here, they were frozen. They were good, but they showed signs of repeated partial thawing and re-freezing. There was a TON of ice in the package and around the quails--the type that forms when things melt and re-freeze. Also had a good bit of frost in the package. The staff is friendly and helpful, but a little slow. That's okay in normal times but a little unsettling in the COVID-19 era when you're in the store waiting with two other customers. To their credit, they do follow COVID-19 public health guidelines for masks, gloves, sanitizer, and capacity limits.Overall, I'd probably only return here if I was in search of some exotic meat for something special."
"We picked up sausages to take on our trip on a whim and we were blown away. We loved the fact that these were 100% hazelnut fed pigs and the proof was in the meat. We bought a variety - the Thai special, Toulouse, spicy Italian and chorizo. Our favs were the Thai and Toulouse. We grilled them and they had the perfect umami flavor and stayed juicy on the grill. They had a ton of items that looked delish - we would love to they their prosciutto and marinated meats next time. They had a small fridge with other local items such as eggs, homemade pasta sauces, fresh pasta, homemade pickles (we bought these and they were great), etc. Cant wait to go back!"
"I love going in this store . I don't consume a lot of meat, and I'm by no means am expert on this type of food but I have several people around me who stand by their opinions that this is some of the best jerky ever ... and we stop in frequently. It's always spotlessly clean in there and it smells really good. It's a small store, but they have a really good variety of flavors and I would think everyone could find something they like in there . The people working in there have always been very nice, friendly and extremely helpful even when I've called to ask questions . Stop in and check it out . I highly recommend the teriyaki and the bacon flavor, both are very tasty. Overall shopping experience is excellent."
"Off the beaten path in Kitsap is a small marina. Next to it is a tiny convenience store and this butcher shop. After Costco stopped selling our favorite pepperoni, and in preparation for a family visit, I stopped by here to pick up some breakfast meats.Sweeney's has a lot of variety in it's selections. The display case had five different kinds of sausage. There were also pepperoni links in the side display case. I asked about having them sliced up for pizzas. Worth a try, I thought. They replied that they couldn't, so I purchased the sausage and bacon and went on my way.Or so I thought. As I was about to leave, one of the employees ran out to stop me, letting me know that they could slice up some pepperoni for me. Pleasantly surprised, I went back in, bought some and talked to the butcher, who talked about using this pepperoni on his own pizzas. Excited, I brought it home, and we checked it out.The bacon tasted great without too much fat on it. Sausage was delicious both by itself and as a sausage gravy. We used the sliced pepperoni in a regular pepperoni pizza. It wasn't bad, but the texture was different, and it wasn't as spicy as regular pepperoni. If these guys made their own dedicated pizza pepperoni, it would most likely turn out excellent. This place has excellent service and great breakfast meats. We'll be back for the jerky and more breakfast stuff."
"Came in for the first time and their freezers were half full. The place is small so it gets crowded fairly quickly on weekends. If you can't find what you are looking for in the freezers, chances are they are in the back, but you'll need ask. If you ask for a certain type of meat or cut, the staff will point you to the binder with the list of meats they offer. Can get overwhelming (I'm a visual person and want to see the meats displayed) if you are not coming in for specific meats. They also do not carry chicken liver which I like to purchase from Macomber Farms for my dogs. We did pickup cooked corned beef, bacon and sausages."
"Nice to have this long-standing butcher from Bellevue set up shop in Woodinville. Good quality meats. Not really a full-on whole-animal butcher shop like Beast & Cleaver or other artisan butchers, but a good place to buy meat nonetheless."
"I like this store. It is very clean and cute decorated. There are some tables to drink draft beer and more choice from refrigerator. So cool !"
"It's so easy to spend way too much money here. It's like Target or Costco: you go in for just one item and come out a full basket and $100+ later... But every time it's a treat! Looking to put together an enviable cheese plate, charcuterie board, or picnic basket? Big John's PFI has exactly what you need to make an impression! Excellent international wine selection that won't break the bank, reasonably priced bulk olives, and incredible cheeses clearly indicating cow/sheep/goat and including taste profile. Plus the staff is always happy to offer samples of cheeses you're deciding between. Their minimum for cheese and olives is 1/4 pound, but I'm honestly fine with that. Others have complained about parking, but I've never really had a problem in their cozy underground garage. Maybe the trick is to go later in the day. Or maybe it's just my parking luck. Anyway, Big John's is my happy place!"
"Plenty of options for ready to eat. Many healthy options from packaged to ready to eat items. 2 levels of dine in area and pizza cafe counters as well. We tried chicken leg pieces and ginger bread biscottis. Both were damn good. Even fruits vegetables were looking so fresh. Perks of being on green island and small town. Loved this place."
"Since there are not many store that sell Halal meat in Seattle as compare to Northern California, I have to give this store 3 stars. Limited selection of meat on display but they have lamb/goats. The meat here is a little pricey. The rest of the package items look old like other had reviews. Private parking is at the back of the store."
"Great authentic tamales mexicano. They were super friendly even though we dont speak spanish. Delicioiso!"
"I've always seen this shop and never thought I would stop here on a vacation trip. YES! I was looking for dinner and since my hotel had a full kitchenette , I know where I was heading at PIkes Market. I was greeted with a smile and choices that was offered. Oh I went for the Filet Mignon ! I was given a choice thick cut or thin ? seasoned yes they do :) I will tell you everything in that meat case was fresh and hard to choose. Staff EXCELLENT! they will help if you have any questions. My Filet was very delicious melted like butter and seasoning was perfect ! Thank Youmake it a surf and turf while you are at Pikes Market"
