Lala’s Mexican Cuisine

Love that this food truck comes all the way out to gold Bar every day to give us delicious food. My husband has tried everything on their menu and it is a great and quick stop for dinner before coming home for the day. Their Carne asada nachos are to die for!

Regarding Mexican food, I'm normally all about spicy pork, guacamole, and pico de Gallo. Very rarely do I order a quesadilla and even more rarely a chicken quesadilla. The lack of flavor usually lets me down, until Lala's rolled into town.A few months ago, I ordered a chicken quesadilla for my 3-year-old grandson who likes, simple, uncomplicated kid food. He only ate half of it and I decided to finish the other half rather than let it go to waste. It really surprised me how much I liked it. Even without adding anything else to it, it had SO MUCH flavor. It's been my go-to ever since. I like to get the green sauce, but mostly for the spice. The quesadilla itself doesn't need it.The staff is friendly and so efficient! The food is always consistently good. Either the recipes are followed to the tee, or the same person does the cooking every time. Either way, I keep going back.The prices are a bit crazy, as in crazy inexpensive. They could easily charge a few dollars more for their food and it would still be worth it.Next time you are in, or going through Gold Bar, look for the red Lala's Mexican Cuisine food truck and give them a try. You can thank me later!

One of the better food trucks around (and we seem to have sprouted several along Hwy 2 now--all of them good). This is on par with the others (same extended family as the Maria's truck). Good stuff.

Very good food and friendly service. They use a truck to cook, but there is some indoor seating with bathrooms in the building next to it.

I walked over 5 miles round trip in the snow and ice to get to Lala's Mexican Cuisine on a day when our roads in Gold Bar were unsafe to drive and it was worth every treacherous step to get my hands on one of their bean and cheese burritos. Service is always quick and friendly, they're affordable and the food is always excellent. Bean and cheese burritos will always be the love of my life, but their tortas are incredible too! So happy to have them in town!
