Christine L. "First time coming here after the renovation/rebrand from Super Six! My friend and I came for brunch around 10am on a Sunday and there was plenty of seating available. It's open seating now, like the other Marination location downtown! You order food at the counter and give your number -- they text you when the food is ready and you pick it up at a window at the far end of the restaurant. It only took about 5 mins for me to get the text for my chicken and waffles. I've had it before at Super Six, and it really hit the spot. I love the creativity of the HK bubble waffle! But the chicken was somewhat hard to eat-- the crispy texture was a bit tougher to chew than expected and it was a bit dry inside. To order drinks, you have to go separately to the bar. I loved the lychee margarita. The frosé was good as well but a little sweet. The staff is all super duper nice :) we hung out for almost 2 hours eating and drinking. They didn't hurry us at all, and came to clear our plates/drinks multiple times. It started getting more crowded around 11:30 -- I think partially due to the Seahawks game. There are big TVs at the bar for you to watch the game! I'll definitely be back. So glad it's reopened!"

Deliciously crafted fillings stuffed in the plushest of bun dough, these massive mandoos will make you feel like you are biting into a cloud. Always served piping hot, you can choose between savory pork and chive, kimchi and pork, red bean. My personal favorite was the kimchi pork that was exploding with savory pork, fragrant veggies, and chewy glass noodles. Served with a little container of sweet soy, each bite was perfection! Priced at around $2, go a little kung fu panda mode and dig into these artisanally crafted dumplings. **Location is in the Paldo World in the food courts past the cashiers (the last one in the food court)."

Derrick G. "BOPBOX is a good Korean Restaurant. I ordered two Bop Bowels, which consisted of the bulgogi ribeye bowl and the kimchi fried rice bowl with bacon. The bulgogi bowl was excellent, the bowl had amazing flavor, and the portion size was large. The kimchi fried rice bowl was good, but the kimchi was the only flavor you could taste in the bowl. The kimchi fried rice bowl was topped with an egg, but I personally thought it needed 2 or 3 eggs to balance the flavors in fried rice and add richness to the dish. Overall, I was very pleased with my meal. I would eat here again."

We chose our seats & shortly after, we were served cups and a jug of water. We were quite happy about the jug since we drink a ton of water! Then came the Japche (noodles). It was still steaming from the wok. The tofu soup was bubbling all the way to our table. The first sip I took, I was in love. The kalbi was next! The flavor and the tenderness made me say, I'm definitely coming back for more. The banchan (side dishes) were simple but all delicious. The service was great! Overall food and experience, 5 stars! Cafe Shu Shu is in their soft opening and features a menu of shaved ice (bingsoo), fruit tea/ades, milk teas and more. Their dessert case is also filled daily with fresh cakes, which I'll have to try next time! Our first visit features: - Watermelon Ade - Mixed with Yakult, this was very refreshing and perfect for summer! - Mango Bingsoo - The milk shaved ice/snow had great texture and taste. The only thing I would wish for is more mango flavoring layered into the snow. But for $15.50, the bingsoo is definitely more than enough to share with another person (or two).Located right next to the Lynnwood H-Mart, Cafe Shu Shu has plenty of parking available n the lot. Jenn L. "2024 Prediction: I will be making many drives out to Issaquah for Danji.Osam Bulgogi (Spicy Squid / Pork Belly Stir-Fry) is one of my favorite dishes, and I had been hunting it down since the closure of Bellevue's Southgate Garden. I've tried many iterations near and far, but Danji's is the absolute crown jewel. The pork belly is ideal--cut just thick enough to form some nice char on the outside, but still tender in the middle. Squid cooked to perfection. Vegetables are a dream. Sauce is strong and packs a punch, as it should. The only thing to enhance it would be the option to add fried rice to the end of the meal with the leftovers, but tbh even between the two of us, we didn't have any leftovers. All banchan was superb (even the salad dressing!), and I was especially impressed by the texture of the gamja jorim (braised potatoes). I'm one of those Koreans that prefers Fresh (non/lesser fermented) Kimchi, and that just happened to be the kind served at Danji.Service was attentive and I appreciated the staff checking in on us by offering banchan refills and barley tea. There were only a few occupied tables when we arrived around 5 PM on a Friday night, but by 6 PM there was a line out the door. Plan accordingly, because it's worth it!"

I have loved Seoul restaurant for years as it always hits the spot for sizzling hot soups but I wasn't sure how the takeout version of my favorite was going to stand up! Lo and behold, the takeout version stands. Love they separated the soondae from the soup portion because who likes soggy soondae?!?!? You also get a small thing of white rice along with tiny things of kkakdugi (turnip kimchi) and cabbage kimchi. I would like to have seen a slightly bigger portion of rice because it left me wanting more but that can be easily fixed by supplementing at home. So glad I was able to heat the soup to sizzling boiling temperature at home and get my haejang fix. Modest and simple in its approach and menu, their success is reasonable food at generous portions and low cost. For a university area restaurant, it's not bad. We arrived at 5:30 or so. They were already inundated with take-out orders and walk-ins for pickups; we were informed of a 45 min wait, to which we agreed. When it passed the 45 min mark, the wait staff offered us a free side - miso soup, salad, etc.The Food:Chicken Katsu and Gyoza combo special for the day, $11 - 4 StarsThe chicken katsu is flavorfully seasoned with a good katsu sauce. The chicken itself is relatively thin, but just thick enough for the chew and texture. It comes with 2 sides, choosing between white/brown rice, soup, salad, French fries. This was good enough that we decided to get 2 more orders to take home.Beef Teriyaki and Tempura combo, $11 - 3 StarsComes with two sides. The flavor of the beef teriyaki is pretty good, though the meat pieces are somewhat thin. The tempura is a huge no-no though. Just get a normal beef teriyaki instead, skip the tempura.Veggie Stir-fry, add prawns, add tofu, $13 - 3 StarsComes with two sides. The flavor of the sauce is pretty good though a tad salty. The added prawns are too cooked. The added tofu has the same ultra-thick coating as the tempura. Took about 20 minutes and came out freshly fried which was nice compared to another Korean chicken place I had been to recently. We split the Whole Sweet & Spicy-16pc. We thought about getting two flavors but this was the most cost efficient. I snapped a few shots and dug in right away to eat a piece hot. My friend spent more time getting the right shots. The guy behind the counter was very sweet my guess is the owner he gave us some paper plates and a couple of complimentary bottles of water. Chicken was crispy and interior moist we liked the flavor better than another place we had tried in the neighborhood. It wasn't overly spicy. My friend asked to have them split into two boxes which they did. She also asked for the sauce on the side so it wouldn't lose it's crispiness by the time we got back the office but it was tossed in the sauce. They gave a way more generous amount of pickled daikon than other places which I appreciated. We would definitely return for the great chicken and customer service. Pieces here are pretty big compared to most spots as well. Though, I've had some inconsistent spreading of sauce, so there's flavorful chicken and then original fried chicken in one order. Crispy Garlic Chicken - instead of all my chicken being garlic flavored, the reality was only 3 had a garlic flavor. The rest tasted more like the original fried chicken, still juicy and tender but without the flavor I paid for. If I were aiming for this, I would order the original and find sauce on the side. Great chicken, just not really garlic. I'd recommend this and hope that all the pieces are evenly coated.Crispy Fried Chicken (Spicy) - a bit spicy, it kicks in after a short bit. Not overly hot, but it hits. Tender and juicy chicken with big bites of meat, but still on the plain side being the original version. Crispy Fried Chicken (Mild) - no spice at all, while others might consider this plain and flavorless, the chicken is still very tender and juicy. Great safe pick, but I'd recommend trying a flavor nine times out of ten."

Traditional Korean Beef Soup in Edmonds is the perfect spot on a cold day. This restaurant had other options including bulgogi, bibim bap, sundubu jjigae, and other soups/stews. However, for your first time, you're really here for the seolleong-tang. I got mine with everything, which included flank steak, tripe, and knee cartilage. You can also get it with beef tongue too. I got mine with vermicelli noodles and the meal also comes with purple rice, and refillable kimchi. I love their radish kimchi and I definitely asked for seconds. As for the soup, the seolleong-tang comes unseasoned, so there's salt at the table for you to add to your desire. There's also green onions to add to it as well. If you're really hungry, I would also order the mandu or handmade pork dumplings to go with your meal. It could be a lot for one person, because the dumplings come in eight per order, but if you're sharing, it's perfect. This place is a no frills restaurant.
