"Updating my review as they have implemented so many changes and I've finally curated my order down to my favorite dishes. Pro tip: if you come here on a weekend, try to get here before they open as food will take a while to come out and even longer when you're on the waitlist. I LOVE the radish cakes here. It is definitely fried with less dough and more radish creating the perfect ratio. The chicken feet is my favorite, so well seasoned and delicious. Don't pass on the shrimp rice rolls, they're so much better than the ones with the Chinese doughnuts in them. The eggplant with shrimp is another must as well. We also ordered the fish fillet plate the last time we were here and it's seriously so underrated and I would highly recommend. Ordering has been easier with their tablets so you never have to hunt a waiter down."
"AYCE hot pot with a charming presentation for $28.99. Weekdays from 12 PM - 4 PM are discounted at $25.99 with a free drink. At a glance the price appears reasonable, but adds up easily. Access to the sauce bar, which includes limited appetizers and desserts, costs $3.99. And only the bone broth is complimentary, the rest require an upgrade. We got the combination of two for $12.99: spicy broth and bone broth. All orders are placed on your phone via scanning a QR code. Default selection is decent and even has dishes such as fried rice. Conveniently multiple people can select for the same table and the servers will clear it afterwards for additional orders. Everything was fresh and prepared nicely. We picked two sides to pay extra for:- Kitten Paw-Shaped Shrimp Balls: comes with 6 pieces ($6.99)- Shrimp Balls in Litchi Shape: comes with 5 pieces ($5.99)Service was good and quick. The restaurant is spacious with seating and outside has an open parking lot."
"Service is always lovely and the food very fresh and flavorful. Had nigiri and duck noodle soup on most recent visit. Both were very fresh and the duck soup was so full of flavor with baby bok choy, fresh herbs and a full quart leftover to enjoy over the weekend. This is the place to dine when I am in Stanwood."
"I would highly recommend the happy hour offered either at this location or the seattle one. they run really good promos like 1.99$ angus beef trays. super good deals and you can eat as if it's all you can eat and bill comes out to be like 35$ which is crazy. the quality of food here is quite solid. also look on instagram for those "secret codes" where you can get some free little gifts lol. I don't highly recommend on regular pricing as it gets quite expensive for very little meat, but a pretty solid place otherwise"
"On our walk today, Jon and I went to this new (to us!) place and were so impressed, we wanted to share it with you. They serve large individual pots of rice noodle soup... in the best broth I've ever tasted. I had a plain chicken broth in my Nourishing House Special, and Jon's had a bit more spice and included pickled cabbage. The plain dish I had (I was feeling like comfort more than fiery) was absolutely delicious, and Jon loved his. I will definitely come back before we leave the PNW, and before this place is full to the gills with healthy hipsters. It's going to be a hit."
"Came here with my friend to do some catch up when I was visiting Seattle. We were craving something filling but healthy. What else would there be but hot pot!? To be honest, it wasn't the perfect weather for it, but it was still really good. PROS:- waste not want not: you order your hot pot ingredients in advance by checking them off a list. This helps eliminate food waste :) and also you can add more food if you're still hungry!- dual pot: some places only do the single pots, but I really like how we could try two different soup bases. - great flavors in the soups- great service for refills of the soups as well (we didn't have to ask for it or ask for water)CONS:- could have a little bigger selection of items on the hot pot ingredient list. - some of these servings are on the smaller end than what I'm used to.All in all, it's not a bad place for hot pot. I would definitely come here again especially since its close by to where my friends are. Sometimes convenience of location really makes a difference! We did come towards the later part of the night so there wasn't too many patrons remaining - i can't much for service during peak hours on that note."
"A KBBQ spot in downtown Mount Vernon. It is the only Korean restaurant in the city and serves tasty food. You can pick either a regular or BBQ table. The prices for the meats in the barbeque seemed slightly pricey so we opted for entrées. All five banchans were refillable.-----Seafood Pancake: squid, shrimp, onions, and green onions ($18.99).The pancake was delicious. It was largely sized and adequately topped with seafood. Batter was pan fried well and oily but had the perfect crispiness.-----Sundubu: spicy beef broth w/ silk tofu, vegetable, egg, and choice of pork, seafood, veggie, or combo (+$1). Served w/ 4 side dishes and steamed rice ($16.99).A hearty stew to have on a cold and cloudy day. I picked pork as my protein. It was loaded with soft tofu and the spicy level was mild to me. The egg was missing from my sundubu.-----Reservations are accepted. Each table has a call button, but the service on a weekend lunch was frequent enough that it was not used. Guest Wi-Fi is available. Downtown has a couple of public parking lots within walking distance as street parking can be difficult to get."
"Soft opening with limited menu. Scan QR code on the table to order. Lunch special is a decent value. The inside is the same as the previous restaurant, on the dark side. I think more lighting would help the ambience. Overall I'd rate the food as 3.5 stars. Nothing stood out. Most dishes lack flavor: -Pig Ear (cold dish) - I like how it's thinly sliced. It can use some more garlic, spices and salt. -Noodle with Ground Pork & Peas - not too spicy, on the sweeter side. I was told it had a sesame paste sauce but couldn't taste it.-Spicy Mao Cai Lunch Special - comes with a soft drink and rice. The main dish contains meat of choice (we went with lamb), a couple pieces of spam and fish balls, bean curds, and vegetables like potato, daikon, lotus root and napa cabbage. I'm not impressed by this because it's the same as hot pot one can put together easily at home. I was told they will introduce more dishes when they have the grand opening."
"Bellevue location of this Chinese chain of restaurants. Located in the same plaza as Asian Family Mart. Mid-sized restaurant, has a bit more interior space compared to its neighbors. Went there on a Sunday night and it was about half full. They are a simmering pot restaurant where you can order ingredients kind of like hotpot. But instead of cooking in a soup base, they put everything in their special pot to simmer/steam with some sauce that tasted like a combination of soy, oyster, and hoisin sauce. We ordered a pot with sliced beef, pork, and a collection of veggies and also mushrooms. It does take 10-15 min to cook at the table. Flavor is pretty good for everything inside, with the juices of the ingredients mixing together and absorbed, and their special savory sauce was a good compliment. The pot we ordered (the medium one) was enough for the 3 of us. Price wasn't too expensive. Enjoyed the meal overall."
"Delicious hot pot like Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. Really nice husband and wife team Open and operate the restaurant. We got half mala spicy and the other half non-spicy mushroom broth. Loved the beef, lamb, mushroom, tofu, cabbage and more. Can't wait to go back again. Check it out."
"Haidilao is one of the most hyped up hot pot chains in the US, and for good reason. The service is great, they give you free snacks while you're waiting and also at the sauce bar. The food is fresh and comes out quickly on cute robots. The soups are extremely flavorful and they have the 4 split pot which gives you a lot of variety. The one downside is that this place is also quite expensive. If you come here, make sure to come for lunch or at late hours because they have a daily happy hour with $2 plates of beef which is an unbeatable deal. Also, there's no shame in eating alone here because they give you a giant plush to sit across from and it's pretty funny. My favorite soups here are the spicy beef tallow and the tomato. Be warned, the spice here is truly spicy. The spicy beef tallow broth had a deep rich beefy flavor which was cut through with the intense heat of the chilies. The tomato broth is on the other end of the spectrum. Mild and lightly acidic with a delicate flavor that complements whatever you cook in it."

With few Cantonese options on the Eastside, my family has been venturing to Triumph Valley for dim sum (which is what they're known for) and dinner. Dim sum is extremely popular on the weekends, and so make sure to get there right before opening (they open at 11am) to avoid having to wait in the long line that forms out the door. Dinner is less popular though and so it's much easier to grab a seat. The GOOD:- SHRIMP DUMPLINGS (HAR GOW) - of the dim sum dishes we've had, these are the BEST! They come in a set of 4 and are large, plump, and juicy.- GOLDEN CUSTARD BUNS - these buns are super fluffy on the outside and hot and gooey on the inside. Don't bother trying to cut these in half because the filling will squirt out.- SALTED EGG YOLK MOCHI - these are basically the mochi form of golden custard buns. The mochi is nice and crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside and the custard filling is hot and just a tad sweet. Definitely worth a try!- FRIED TARO CAKES - these cakes are like radish cakes, except they have a crispy sesame outside and some Chinese sausage mixed into the taro, giving the dish extra savory and umami notes. - GARLIC PEAVINE - the leaves are super tender and cooked with lots of garlic. No complaints here, except they might not always have it available. The OKAY:- STEAMED BBQ PORK BUNS - while the outside was nice and fluffy, the inside filling was too sweet-BUDDHA'S DELIGHT- this vegetarian dish has lotus root, tofu, celery, onions, zucchini, carrots, black mushrooms, and wood ear mushrooms tossed in a pink fermented bean sauce. This dish was decent overall, but could have a stronger fermented bean flavor.-XO RICE ROLLS - this dish has been a hit or miss. The first time we went, it had lots of XO flavor (which is basically dried scallop). This last time we went, the flavor was lacking.-XO FRIED RICE- similar to the rice rolls, this dish didn't have a lot of XO flavor. It also didn't have any protein other than egg white. The EH: - SEAFOOD AND TOFU HOT POT - we are big fans of seafood hotpot, but unfortunately, there wasn't much seafood to be had. The broth/slurry was also bland- OYSTER AND PORK HOT POT - again, as big fans of seafood, we were looking forward to fresh oyster stew. However, the oysters were chewy like firm tofu- I'm pretty sure they were dried originally and rehydrated in the stew which was disappointing. The dish also lacked pork belly.- BLACK PEPPER BEEF VERMICELLI - this dish looked interesting and wasn't like anything we've ever had before. It's basically a huge pan of crispy vermicelli folded over beef, peppers, onions, and bean sprouts. While we liked the crispy noodles, the dish itself was quite tasteless.Service is decent and the waiters try to be attentive as possible, but with such a large restaurant, you may need to be patient during dim sum hours.Triumph Valley has an EXCELLENT health rating which is the highest health rating possible. Their tables, floors, and restrooms are clean.Would definitely recommend this place for large parties as they have extensive seating.Overall: 3.5/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

Overall a 4.5! This place was a very solid ayce hotpot place! It wasn't as fancy inside as, say, Liuyishu but it also wasn't as expensive. Very affordable. Not as busy either, which was good cause my friend and I sat there for a while catching up and were able to do so without getting rushed or feeling bad for taking up a table. It was a little hard to find though - we were like do we drive into this elderly home area? Lol. The outside looks a little run down, but the inside is nice and bright. I would say ambiance and setting was more of a 4 - pretty solid but nothing mind blowing. The menu has the hot pot items that come with, and then there are some other items that you can pay extra for (like the noodles). The meat selection was fairly simple but the variety of stuff they had was nice and felt good for the price point. Their sauce bar was also pretty solid. I feel like this is a place I would def go to regularly if I lived here, but I'm not sure I'd come back as an infrequent visitor.

I was a little skeptical when I heard of this place opening up because, in my experience, any restaurant that offers too many types of cuisines typically bites off more than they can chew. The restaurant itself is lovely and there was live music playing when we arrived at around 5pm on a Saturday. Service was very polite and attentive and all the food came out quickly. Down to the food itself - over the course of two visits (one dine in, one take out), we've tried the Thai steamed dumplings, coconut prawns, shrimp spring rolls, pad Thai, pho, the spicy tuna lovers roll and salmon sashimi. The good: Thai steamed dumplings were so good! Perfectly steamed with good flavour and accompanied by what tasted like a citrus ponzu sauce. The coconut prawns were similarly good - the coconut batter was perfectly crispy and they were fried perfectly. Only thing I wasn't crazy about was the sauce they served it with, which was different from the usual sweet Thai chilli sauce you can expect. It was still good (tasted like a peanut ginger base) but I prefer the Thai chilli sauce. The shrimp spring rolls were also a hit and are served with the expected Thai chilli sauce. Their pho was surprisingly pretty good! The steak and brisket pieces were thicker than we are used to but they were really tender so we didn't mind. The broth was also flavourful and well seasoned. This dish is the biggest win for me because I've been trying to find a GOOd place for pho nearby for ages now with no luck, always having to drive to Marysville. The ok: the pad Thai and sushi were kind of a miss for us. The flavours in the pad Thai were pretty good but the dish was drowning in sauce (which is saying a lot because I love sauce) so it was hard to eat more than a few bites at a time. Similarly, the salmon nigiri and spicy tuna lovers roll were decent but in my opinion do not stack up to what's available nearby. I particularly found it a little off putting that my sake nigiri pieces were served warmer than what I'm used to. TLDR: I'd give it a 4 for Stanwood's standards and look forward to coming back regularly for the pho and appies and to try other things on the menu.

We definitely had a great time, they got a nice set up where everyone can pick their own soup base and then order items ala carte. The sauce and snack bar is extra cost, but was definitely delicious to make your own combos. They have a huge choice of items and meats, but it's overall expensive compared to other hot pots in the area. They do deliver good quality though. Service was excellent and they do validate 3h parking downstairs in the garage.

Trying out this new restaurant for the time and I'm pretty impressed. Their tomato noodle soup was super good and so were the appetizers. I'll definitely come back to try the spicy noodle soup next time.

Really enjoyed my experience here. I wasn't feeling hot pot so I got a noodle dish which was really great. My friend for a individual hot pot and it was the perfect portion and delicious. I would definitely come back for group hot pot with more people. There are lots of great appetizers and a wide variety of items and much more than a hot pot spot. Parking in the area isn't terrible but it is street parking. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend.

Finally went here tonight! The servers were so friendly and helpful! If you are not comfortable with metal chopsticks let them know at the beginning of the meal and they will grab you a fork. It was so clean and bright with great music volume. We ordered the spicy pork bulgogi and the beef bulgogi. The spicy was not our favorite. All we could taste was the spice and no pork. The beef bulgogi was amazing! It was great getting all the sides so we could try things we wouldn't normally order. The sides were pickled radish, bean sprouts, fish cakes, kimchi, cucumbers, potatoes and rice. We left sooo full! We are already planning our next trip there!

Nine Way Noodle House is a gem for noodle enthusiasts! The menu offers a fantastic variety of Asian noodle dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. The cozy ambiance and attentive staff make dining here a truly enjoyable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in delicious and authentic Asian noodles!
Visit Restaurant Page"I got the bibimbap with crispy rice delivered and I think this is as good as it gets. I enjoyed the dish thoroughly and it was also nice that they packaged the banchan quite beautifully. It's too bad that I probably won't be able to visit the actual restaurant because it's too far, but at least I have access to it via delivery!"
"Chengdu Memory might be my favorite hotpot place in all of Seattle! Located conveniently in the Chinatown international district, chemgdu memory boasts authentic and traditional Chinese hotpot. With top-tier service, amenities like mouthwash in the bathrooms, glasses lens wipes, and hair ties, and delicious menu items at a fraction of what Haidilao costs, Chengdu Memory wins in both quality and quantity. I came to try their new panda dessert, which was so cute. It was pandan jelly in coconut milk with tapioca balls. Super refreshing and not too sweet; perfect for an after hotpot meal. Of course, we also had to get hotpot, which we decided to try the standard pork bone broth (which comes with tomato, dried red dates, mushrooms, and cucumbers inside). Since there were only two of us, we only ordered a few dishes: the highly Instagrammable meat platter (half beef and half lamb), the tripe combo, and the salted egg yolk shrimp balls. This is the only hotpot place where I've seen the salted egg shrimp balls, and I don't usually see it at the Asian supermarkets either. It's delicious! Perfect amount of sweet and savory. We had more than enough food and took home enough leftovers to feed both of us for dinner. The quality of everything was high. The best part was the sauce bar, which not only included sauces, but also appetizers like deep fried sesame balls, popcorn chicken, pickled cucumber, seaweed salad, pickled chicken feet, green bean soup, white fungus soup, and eight treasures porridge. You don't even need to order dessert because these porridges and soups are the dessert! Extremely refreshing and a nice cold snack while having hot hotpot. They also have parking available, but it is also very close to the light rail and many bus routes. The space is very clean and beautifully decorated. Overall amazing hotpot place and I need to try the rest of their soup bases and menu items!"
"Super delicious spicy beef broth! 1st time here and was very impressed with the flavorful broth. We had tube option between 1-3 level spice and to be safe I chose 1, which was perfect. The price is quite reasonable as well at $14.99 a lb. Good selection of items to add to the broth and service is fast. Parking is also really convenient with a free lot and no issues of finding a spot. Definitely want to come back here again and try the skewers. When we went there were none available."
"Very good authentic Szechuan flavors.Nice and friendly staff. Fast service.Large portions."
"We came here to grab lunch after my doctor's appointment as it was close by and we wanted to go to a café that was close by. When we walked through the door, we were welcomed warmly by a lady and then directed to our table which had the menu underneath the table glass. The décor inside was very lovely as it had paper lanterns hanging above, a partition with fake bamboo, and other décor that just fit with the overall vibes. As we were browsing, we were greeted by another older woman who was unfriendly and just had a very unwelcoming attitude. She asked us if we wanted drinks and we told her water and hot tea then she just says mutters okay before walking off to get our drinks. Once she returned with the drinks, I got the twice cooked pork belly lunch special with egg flower soup and BBQ pork fried rice while my boyfriend got the sweet and sour pork lunch special with egg flower soup and BBQ pork fried rice. Again, she just mutters okay then leaves before returning back with two cups of egg flower soup. I noticed that both our cups had some leaked egg flower soup but luckily there was still plenty enough in the cups, but it just seems very sloppy, especially since it wasn't filled all the way. After a few minutes, I received my twice cooked pork and fried rice while my boyfriend only received his fried rice. It was another good several minutes before he got his entrée. It felt a bit awkward as I eat first as I didn't want my food to sit out too long and was hungry, and luckily my boyfriend eats pretty fast. However, I know there are people who don't enjoy having their food come out at separate times so just be wary. There were two tables at the time, one that had already been served and one that had just arrived and placed their orders after my boyfriend got his food. Additionally, the table that had just came in got the lady who was friendly and she was making great conversation with the guests so ideally, it would be nice to have her as our server. For example, I wanted more hot water for the hot tea as I love their hot tea and asked the lady after she had dropped off my boyfriend's sweet and sour pork and she had just walked away but after a few steps, she says something a bit louder but I had no idea what she said. Then after a little bit, she comes back and just slightly slams the hot water. I wanted to ask for napkins too but I just felt like I was being an inconvenience to her. Even when my boyfriend went up to pay, she was staring at him during the tipping section which was super uncomfortable but he just gave her a dollar because he felt that she deserved it. She didn't even come check up on us at all.Luckily the meal was delicious as we both enjoyed our entrees and were satisfied with the taste, presentation and portions. The fried rice was really good too, probably the best one I have ever gotten with a lunch special anywhere else. I also appreciate that they have the fried rice in a separate bowl and the entrée on its own plate. I'm fine with food touching each other on my plate but it feels like we get more than just having them share a plate. We will consider returning but we definitely have other restaurants in Lakewood that offers more for the same price of food but better service and food making speed."
"I really enjoyed my experience here! It's located in Soma towers and they have validated parking in the garage for convenience.Lots of great options for broth- highly recommend their famous frog broth! Also their spicy ones are so good too. They have lots of great exotic proteins like frog feet, animal blood, etc!! The staff are all friendly and nice. There is a sauce bar area to make your own sauce and also grab fruits. Overall it was really delicious and I really enjoyed trying different proteins that aren't available at other hot pot places. Very authentic Chinese hot pot. Very clean and modern inside, just beware that you will smell like hot pot when you leave! I even enjoyed the free vanilla ice cream cone at the end :) I would definitely come back here again~"
"This place is looks like a house on the outside and it's not on the main road so you definitely need to be looking for it to find it. The place does hot pot and there seem to busy during lunch time. We ended up ordering takeout and got the chicken in chili oil. For the price, it was a pretty good portion. The chicken could be more tender in my opinion but the flavor was there. Definitely will be back to try their other items or even their hotpot."
"We were craving hotpot place and this was the closest location from where we were. Pick a broth between non spicy- to extra spicy, any broth will be charged $8.50 ea. they have 4 plates to choose from where you just grab and throw into you hot pot both. It ranges between $2.50-$5.50 depending on the color. It reminds me of genki sushi where it's a passing through belt with the items. They have pork, chicken, beef meats, vegs, tofu, and some desserts. It was our first time and we definitely enjoyed. It was a Friday early evening so it wasn't crazy busy yet. Not bad for 2 of us we spent $68 around there. Parking is available in front the store. Overall you pick, cook, add your spices which are available on the side in front of you."
"Food The food here is great! They have a large selection of meat to veggies. They have combo or Ala carte selection and a tablet at the table for easy ordering!Service Attentive and friendly.Ambiance Casual and loud at times but family friendly and great for a group of friends! Would come here again due to the large selection of goods, sauces, and dessert at the sauce table."
"This was the best dry pot I've ever had in the States. There was a minor mistake with our Signature Dry Pot order but we didn't even mind because the flavors were so good. I would revisit Seattle just to come back here.In-person dining and ordering is done through an online QR code. The dry pot can be custom-made, which is what our table did. We got fatty beef, pork intestines, potatoes, cabbage, and glass noodles. I'd recommend getting a large pot for parties of four or more."
"This place is pretty good. Came here on a Friday night with a party of 5 and got seated right away. We got to choose our seats. The inside itself has nice decorations on the wall but the decor overall does seem kinda unfinished. It's cozy though. I ordered the tomato hot pot with pork belly and instant noodles and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A lot of reviews mention the lack of meat but I got a lot of meat in mine. The broth was super flavorful and each ingredient tasted great. It also came with a black iced tea I think, and it was so good. Service was good too. Got checked up on a few times and everyone was pretty nice. I'd come again when I'm craving hotpot."
"I have been wanting to try Nine Way in Redmond, WA for the LONGESTTTTT time, and now I finally got the chance. The space of this place is not that large, but it's cozy. The hype here, though, was REAL: legit and authentic Sichuanese cuisine. We got both dry noodles and wet ones (with broth) - both dishes were packed of flavor. Spiciness level not too bad. The cucumber salad was refreshing and crunchy, though I wish the amount of garlic and vinegar flavor were much higher (you can never have too much garlic!). The dumplings in ma la soup was a nice mix of 2 Chinese staple items, with a decent spicy kick. They have other dishes as well, especially the side ones, that I will try next time I'm there. The server was really friendly, and seems that she recognized my friend from last time (since he's a regular (ish)).Price wise, it was not bad! $48 for two. Here's my video of the place and food for better visuals:https://youtube.com/shorts/BLXGtTeDa8A?feature=share"
"I'm so happy there's FINALLY a legit hot pot place near home!! We had a pleasant dinner here and will be back. Service was fantastic - the owners were helpful and sweet. It's easy to get to - just enter through the main center entrance of the Great Wall, and it's the third or so store to your left (across from the sugar cane drink place). We ordered by scanning the QR code. You can add more items later if you'd like. We got the half-half mild spicy beef and tomato. The spice was perfect (I'm a 3-4 star Thai food gal) - I could taste the Szechuan-ness but it wasn't crazy hot and numbing, and it had good flavor! Usually, these types of soups are all spice. There is even an "extra mild" option if you don't like it too spicy. The tomato was comforting. I liked mixing both broths. They refilled our soup every time it got low. We drink a lot of soup! The purple potato starch noodles were so yummy and chewy! The hot pot noodles were tasty as well, especially with the soup. I appreciated that they provided one-time-use aprons for us - I can get messy when dipping and slurping noodles. My only complaint is that they gave us too many veggies for the small jar it came in, so it was a little messy to get out, bahaha. Also, they were out of the wagyu beef - we hope to try this next time!"
"I was intrigued by this place as I walk by here multiple times. They definitely need to update their hours and stuff on yelp and Google as it's not accurate. Also, reservations is recommended. We had a group of 5 and made reservations for 11:30am. The place does get busy. Food:3 flavor hot pot: tomato, pork, and mushroom. They were all pretty distinct and flavorful but mushroom was the lightest while tomato was heaviest in terms of flavor. We got fish, lamb, beef, tofu, bean curds, noodles, mushrooms and napa cabbages. They were all a good amount for the price and it was good in terms of quality. Definitely lunch special deals are worth it.We also got the mango dessert and unfortunately didn't think that was worth it. For $22, the portion and quality wasn't up to par. The mango was frozen and not fresh, and it just tasted normal, nothing spectacular. Also, double check the receipt before paying Because they messed up our pricing twice!Overall, good hot pot place, skip the dessert in my opinion unless it rotates :)"
"An upscale hot pot restaurant with high prices, but delicious meats and flavorful broths and sauces! We ordered meats, bean curds, shrimp paste, fried tofu, and noodles and cabbage.Food: - Recommend *noodles, shrimp paste and bean curd*. - Chef's pork broth (which comes with tripe and chicken to make it extra flavorful)- House sauce - the servers make it for you and it was my fav! The sauce bar has chili oil and sesame sauce too which are tasty.- Complimentary ice cream - burnt my tongue from the broth so this ice cream was perfect . Service is exceptional and the restaurant is spacious and upscale! Located in a nice mall too so perfect to have a shopping spree after."
"Crazy Monk is good for that hot pot craving! It seems like there is a nexus of hot pot in the CID. This is the newest venue opening up last month. Handy ordering system on iPad as is becoming the standard for hot pot joints. It is not an all you can eat place and they do offer some premium cuts like wagyu if you want to go big time baller and the price tag of your meal can get steep. but also offers organ meats for the more adventurous eaters. The individual size pots are great for keeping your eating personalized! I went with the spicy beef oil which did bring on the burn! Hurt so good! Sauce bar also had some interesting savory snacks like roasted peanuts and cheeto balls. Went with the mixed veg, mixed mushroom, wagyu short rib and Angus beef and lamb plate. Quality of meats are good and veg was fresh and nicely presented. Space I'd modern and clean. Staff was great and quite attentive. Parking is always a pain in this area although I believe there is a pay lot adjacent to the place. Go get your hot pot on!"
"This is hands-down, my favorite Hotpot place in Seattle due to the customer service, which is very quick efficient and friendly (I even befriend one of the server whose name is Seeson)! The selection of broth is great and every single broth is very flavorful. You have options of either doing one, two or three different broth in a single pot to share with the whole table or you could choose to sit at the bar which can be an individual pot for yourself. Often times I come here with a group of friends or my family with me. It is a bit tight to get six people in a booth, but it works for us.The sauce bar is incredible with the selection they have including desserts and appetizers, such as wood mushroom salad , freshly cut fruits, like melons, watermelon, and oranges. The one time I came there was fried shrimp balls was incredible. I hope they bring it back soon.We often time stick to the Szechuan style broth, and I would highly recommend going with the mild selection and not the hot because it is extremely extremely spicy. Our second best option for broth would be the pork tripe which seems odd, but it's very flavorful. My fiancé, other favorite is the tomato based broth. As always, you get to pick and choose what kind of produce, protein, seafood, starch you'd like to add into your pot. Some of our favorite selections are the shrimp paste, mushroom platter, seafood platter, which comes with muscle shrimp, squid, and scallops for $20. I enjoy the fried bean curd which soaks up all of the broth when you dip it in for a few seconds my mom loves to eat her hot pot with vermicelli noodles, they also have fresh handmade noodles and rice as well. This restaurant is a bit small and you can't fit larger groups in the space but for a downtown location this works for me and I love it here. I highly recommend you try out Qiao Lin! There's parking in the garage in the building, right side of the restaurant. You still have to get a code and pay five dollars but for downtown it's not that bad."
