Other favorites are the maple bacon bar, somoa and Oreo doughnuts. My kids are absolutely over the moon when I take them here!I also love that they have good breakfast and brunch foods if you aren't in the mood for sweets, and an espresso bar too. The shop itself is cute and offers trendy picture opportunities. I would vote this one of my fav places to grab doughnuts in snohomish county!"

Daizha E. "The best hole-in-the-wall donut shop in town! Haha.. get it? ;-) I have been coming here since my toddler days! 22 years later and I still stop in when I am within the vicinity. Since I first started coming here, the original owners have retired but passed the business to someone else in the family and have kept the amazing recipes. I am SO glad nothing has changed! The service is always so genuine, wholesome and leaves me feeling so happy. Plus, it is Asian-owned and I love supporting my Asian community. You can also sit inside which is what I always did/do with my mom and Grandma. There is one "donut" chair that has been there forever and I always sit in it. To be honest, I actualy am not a big donut person but I absolutely LOVE Lucky Donuts! They are the most light and fluffy donuts I have ever had and nothing I have tried compares. The perfect amount of sweetness, not greasy, and just perfect in every way. If you stop in, you NEED to try their maple bars! I took all they had left today because they are just that good. While you're there, try a classic sugar donut! And a chocolate custard filled! And.. just do yourself a favor and get a dozen! I hope you enjoy this business as much as me and my family does. Thank you, Lucky Donuts, for being the best!"

After a failed attempt to visit his shop in Delridge (it was closed), it was awesome having the chance to visit his truck in Ballard this morning. Donuts were fresh and pretty yummy. The store was straightforward to spot from the road and had easily accessible parking. The worker was friendly and in good spirits. I went with a maple bar and glazed buttermilk bar. Both donuts were delicious. Neither was greasy and my hands did not get oily as I ate. For the maple bar, the maple frosting was a thin layer and retained a strong maple flavor and the bar part of the donut was very fluffy. For the glazed buttermilk bar, I found it to be entirely satisfying. Price for both donuts was $3.38. All around enjoyable experience."

It looked good, but I was uncertain of whether it would be as good in person as it looked on TV. So, I looked up Happy Lemon to see if they had any locations closer to me and found this Edmonds location a few miles from the house. After running 21.84 miles over the past 7 days, I decided to celebrate by trying out the bubble waffle.Arriving around 6:00 p.m. today, Monday 14 August 2023, I placed my order for an original bubble waffle and Tiramisu salted cheese (abbreviated SC on my receipt) at 6:04 p.m. and the workers were on filling it. By 6:12 p.m. I was out the door with my waffle and dipping sauce in hand. The bubbles of the waffle were partially filled with the waffle and partially filled with air. It was light and fluffy and a sweet flavor. The Tiramisu salted cheese was more of a rich flavor, which paired well with the sweetness of the waffle. I found it to be a nice sweet treat for a hot summer evening."

Tanis L. "On approaching Evergreen Donuts northbound this morning, Tuesday 23 May 2023, I found construction-related obstacles in the lane where I was supposed to turn in from the main road. Instead, I took the back entrance in to the parking area that went past a few hotels. The lot is shared by the different businesses in the strip and was abundant when I arrived around 10:10 a.m. and parked. The store front is well labeled and easy to spot. Donuts and lumpia are on display inside the entrance towards the wall opposite the entrance door. I got one each of the maple bacon jalapeño bar and plain cake donuts. When the worker was getting the donuts, she added a few complementary donut holes. I paid with a $5 bill for the total of $4.10 with tax. After tipping my change, $0.90, she added a few more donut holes to my bag. Moral of the story, don't forget to tip! The donut holes were good, they reminded me a bit of beignets - light and fluffy - with a glaze. Spice from the jalapeños paired harmoniously with the sweetness of the maple frosting, sweetness and saltiness of the bacon, and the fluffy texture of the bar donut. It was the first maple bacon donut of any type I have had and I was very pleased with the donut. The plain cake donut was a perfect eat. Not greasy, my fingers did not get oily from the donut when eating it. The cake was intermediate between dense and light and had a subtle flavor."

I stopped here today, Sunday 27 November 2022, for the fourth of five stops on a driving donut tour for the day. A closed off seating area with two booths was a reminder the COVID-19 pandemic is still around. The man behind the counter was friendly and thoughtful in interacting with the customers. The flavors were varied and I went with a Lychee cake donut. It had been a number of years since I had something lychee-flavored, and I love lychee, so that ultimately won out in the decision-making process for me. Though it was not an easy choice, the other flavors were enticing as well. The cake of the donut was more towards the dense end of a fluffy-dense cake donut spectrum. It was rich, but not overly so. The lychee glaze was thick and extremely well modulated. It started off as a subtle lychee flavor on the first bite and grew to intense, but not overpowering, by the end of the donut. The cake-glaze combination and donut size were entirely satisfying."

Maria R. "Mochinut and Happy Lemon are one and the same, located in a busy strip mall at the intersection of 220th and Highway 99. I have had a craving for mochinuts for weeks but each time I've stopped by the store was ridiculously busy so I passed--this intensifying my craving over time! Pro tip: if you want to avoid crowds, don't come here after work or on the weekends or even around lunchtime! I stopped by on my way home on a Monday at 2pm. There were thankfully only 2 people ahead of me in line. I noticed that they don't have a sign to indicate what kind of mochinuts they have for the day, but they do post them on social media. It isn't until you get to the front of the line that you see the display right by the cash register. A friendly worker took my order. I chose 1. Ube Snow (ube with coconut flakes) 2. Dirty Matcha (I think this was a mix of matcha powder topped with dark cocoa powder) and 3. Nutella Almond. I also got a half and half chungchun hotdog on a stick. Devoured the hotdog because it was past my lunchtime and enjoyed the gooeyness of the mozzarella half--I don't know how they do it but it was gooey AND not hellishly hot. The temperature was perfect. I also like that they don't overdo it on the sugar coating like other places seem to do. Got home and split each mochinut to share so other family could try. I loved the flavor of each one but the Nutella and Ube Snow were tied for number one. I'm not a fan of matcha unless it's in a drink or an ice cream, so the powder (along with the cocoa powder) wasn't my fav, but it was still tasty. I've been trying to replicate the recipe for mochinuts at home but so far haven't had much luck. The mouthfeel of these donuts is so satisfying. One recommendation I have for the business is that they could post the flavors closer to the beginning of the line so you know what you want to order in advance. Also, I wish they had a dedicated line and mor organization for order pick ups. It gets so busy that no matter what, there is no advantage to ordering ahead of time because you have to wait in line to pick up. Lastly, I didn't get bubble tea this time but the Happy Lemon portion of the business serves it (it's not separate from Mochinut--same cash register). Their bubble tea is good but I have other favorite spots for bubble tea."

We were in the area so we decided to stop by as I'm still on a mission to try as many donut shop in the greater Seattle as I can and this was on my list :)We came around 9:30 in the morning on a Saturday and it was kinda empty at first but after, the regulars came and there was a small line. There's a small parking lot in front and it looks like they serve ice cream as well. After a lot of debate, we decided on the maple bacon donut, the French crueller, and the toasted coconut.Maple bacon (4.5/5), a little pricey at $3.69 but according to my husband 'one of the best maple bacon donut he has eaten'. The sweet and salty flavor was really balance and I love the extra pepper on the donut. Also light and fluffy.Crueller (5/5). I love cruellers and so I can be picky about which cruellersnare good. And these are good. They are crispy on the outside and sturdy but the inside is soooo soft and air. Most places is too soft and flabby.Toasted coconut (3/5) - this was kinda disappointed compare to the other 2. The inside was filled with Bavarian cream and the shredded coconut are on top but you can't really taste the coconut at all. Its still soft and fluffy though and there was a substantial amount of cream inside. Definitely want to come back to try their other donuts and it looks like they do end of the day sale where you buy 6 donuts for $7."

My daughter has FPIES and will end up in the hospital if she has Egg, and when I asked to confirm that these are in fact vegan, the lady helping me assured me that there don't even allow egg in their kitchen at all. A family entered ahead of me and one after me. A hand sanitization station was located just inside the entrance and social distancing stickers were on the floor in the line area.Looking at the options, I saw the blue doughnut with the rainbow on it and decided I had to try it. The rainbow piece looked similar to some of the sour candy I like and I had not had a blue doughnut before, so it was time to give it a try. The workers were kind in their interactions and careful in extracting the doughnut from the case and putting it in its to-go container.Turns out not only was the rainbow a sour candy piece, the blue frosting had a subtle sour flavor to it. As someone who loves sour candy, this was very cool and a novel eating experience for me. Made me, my taste buds, and my belly happy. The clouds were closer to a whipped cream and the doughnut itself a yeast raised. Texturally light and fluffy, and a hearty serving size."
