"Came here after wine tasting because we've always seen it but never been. My wife is a vodka fan but I'm not. I'm used to that terrible vodka after taste, but this place has changed my mind! We shared a vodka tasting ($15) and every vodka we had was delicious! They had a honey infused one, a cinnamon one that smelled like fireball but was not as terrible as fireball, a cold brew one, a whiskey barrel aged one, and their original. Afterwards we asked for a couple mixed drinks and those were also amazing! The two people working are the best! They walked us through everything and even shared drink recipes. Overall, you should definitely come and check this place out if you're in the area! You won't be disappointed."
"Very cool place with very delicious whisky! We were super impressed with the flavor of every single option. The red label was our favorite and we had to grab a couple bottles of maple syrup too. Very happy we came here! Best Washington whisky I have had the pleasure of trying so far! The new building is really nice and the people doing the tasting were quite knowledgeable and happy to talk to us! We will have to come back!"
"I saw an ad on Instagram for locally made Amaro by a woman-owned distillery. That caught my eye and I'm glad it did because this stuff is INCREDIBLE!I bought both Americano and Americano Bianco online, for pickup at their distillery/tasting room. The building itself is out of the way and not something you'd find casually walking around. Parking is good and they have good wheelchair/crutches access which I note now after having been on crutches twice in two years.I wandered in expecting to just pick up my bottles and leave. But they had a small crew (masks on) there and invited us for a tasting! They kept their masks on and stayed at a distance - and they had a big space with an open garage style door so it was really safe!I was blown away especially by the Americano Bianco. It's herbaceous and just sweet enough. FULL of flavor! It is good enough to drink neat and I just made a fabulous Negroni with it at home. The standard Amaro is good but not quite as much as a stand-out to me as the Bianco.Regardless, both are well worth the price. And the company's story? Priceless.Jamie told us about their two year process in developing the recipe. And they explained how they source their ingredients, which they have gone to great lengths to procure sustainably and locally. For example, they get saffron from farmers in Chelan and worked with them to pick the exact strain that would suit the Amaro's flavor profile. This company is dealing admirably with Covid-19 restrictions and with the very strict liquor restrictions in King County/Seattle. They say they hope to have tastings outside as soon as they can get approval.I will definitely be back to support this company because of their great product, very nice people, and what appear to be phenomenal business values."
"These guys have been on my list for years now. Friends who live an hour away have tried it, and I hadn't. Tons of local friends rave about it. There was even a YEE up here a couple weeks ago, further reminding me that I am behind on the local spirits train. We finally got lively enough yesterday to stop by here after lunch. We had to squeeze our visit in between other activities, but even an artificially-shortened visit was enough to get us flipping over what's on offer. It's one of the many cool food/drink spaces in the big shell on Sunset. Short, shallow concrete steps walking up, then several different spaces warrened together once you're inside. Everything is welcoming and spotless, and all cleanable: all wood, glass, and other hard materials. It's stylish and easy to enjoy. We tried flights of 3 vodkas, 4 gins, a liqueur, and a whiskey. We joined the bottle club on the spot, which got us tastes of 2 more liqueurs and another whiskey. In related news, for the rest of my life, I may never remember how to spell "liqueur" for any longer than maybe 10 seconds. The flights are wonderfully cheap--$10 to try 4 vodkas, 1/2-ounce pours each. Most are flavored already with ingredients from all over the culinary spectrum--sweet, savory, etc. We loved the mint, citrus, and three-tea vodkas, buying a bottle of the latter. They bring a shot of tonic water to blend with the shots as you go, to your own ratio. You immediately get all kinds of ideas for mixing these with flavored bubbly waters and other ingredients, turning them into endless varieties of vodka sodas. They make cocktails on site and also suggest tons of recipes for mixing drinks with their different spirits. It's all a big Lego set for your liver. The gins were so good, and came with tonic water to blend to taste. Both the martini-style and G&T-style had tons of big aromatics and really had a savory quench to them, not the sandy hollow feel you sometimes get after a sip of gin. The barrel-infused gin was even more interesting, and would be fine as a neat sipper (that's so cool to find in a distillery with such a clear mix & cocktail focus). The chai liqueur was like a special holiday treat--it doesn't sound like the sugariest spirit on the market (not even close), but it had a special dessert treat quality without a doubt. The holiday gin was kinda ho-hum for me, with the holiday spices seeming to cancel out the botanicals and leaving a pretty tight and neutral flavor profile. The whiskey was clean and didn't show any burn, but it's still young and so far isn't sporting a flashy barrel quality. The port-cask version that came out with the club-member tastes showed more barrel, and a clear port quality too. There was also a lemongrass-ginger liqueur, along with a mint-chocolate pour. Both were amazing dessert-drink candidates, though by no means were they overly sweet. The lemongrass one would blend well into a tall summer cocktail, and the mint/cacao would turn into a cool wintry pour with a heavier body. And you could probably do 50 different other things with each of them. The staff were super welcoming and open, telling us all kinds of stuff about how they make the spirits and all the other cool stuff that they do. They clearly have built on their success, with tons of swag for sale and lots of custom-branded stuff for them. Their branding is really appealing, too. We came home with two new bottles and will pick up the club release in about month. This feels like a great way to put a couple fancier clear spirits on the bar at home every so often."
"You f you're a fan of limoncello this is a must stop in Seattle! It's hidden off an alley by the baseball stadium. Stop by and grab a bottle of this locally made treat. They might even show you how it's made if they aren't busy."
"While visiting Larrabee state park we started to get hungry and felt like pizza. I checked Yelp for options and found this restaurant in a place called Edison, which is basically a one street town in the middle of nowhere. So, off we went. The restaurant has a private lot but it is not huge. We did street parking which was easy to find. The ambiance is a laid back, casual hippy-cool. You pick up menus, you go select a table (inside or outside), which are numbered, and then come back to order. We sat outside on a gorgeous summer day. The food comes out all at once. I had the smoked salmon dip and it was outstanding. Nice smoke flavor in the background and lots of salmon. You spread it on flatbread which obviously comes from the pizza dough. The wife had the mixed green spring salad and loved it. For pizzas, the kid had the pepperoni, which are large discs. The pepperoni were not spicy so she liked them. The wife and I had the Average Joe which was nothing short of excellent. It's basically a supreme with everything: pepperoni, sausage, bacon, fresh jalapeño (not seeded), onion, and maybe something else I am forgetting. What makes the pie so great is the freshness of the ingredients. The crust is also outstanding. The menu says the flour is milled locally and the dough sits for three days before using. Whatever they are doing, it was an outstanding pizza, one of the best I ever had. There are beers and ciders on tap.I drank the Icy IPA and it was a perfect pairing. The kid had apple cider which tasted fresh-squeezed, and the wife had an IPA that I forget the name but had lots of fruit flavors and she loved it. At the end, you bus your own table. In general, all the employees were friendly and seemed happy to be working there This place is a ways away from Bellingham but worth the drive. You won't be sorry."
"A group of us stopped into Curtson to see what they were all about.Free street parking is available. Discover is an accepted form of payment.Curston distills small batches of whiskey. On our visit there were two flavors available: Northwest Umber ($37) and Malted Umber ($45). Tastings were free. The Curston team are enthusiastic, innovative, passionate and proud of their dream. It was exciting to listen to all their upcoming plans, such as pairing with local establishments. My wife and I purchased a 750ml of Malted Umber for $45 to enjoy at home. I look forward to returning in the future as more pieces of their dream come to fruition."
"I got my dad a Father's Day gift from here! The owner was so personable and friendly. They were offering a "2020 Father of the Year" engraved bottles. I ordered that and another something for my dad online for pickup (which was very easy) When I picked it up, the owner was very warm and went above and beyond just the regular pick up! I am in the middle of moving and had a hiccup with billing addresses on my card, and he double checked to see if it was ok, working in finance I super appreciate that. AS WELL AS he let me personalize the bottle further and let me engrave my dad's name on it, my dad really loved his gift, as well as the booze inside. I can not rave enough about my experience, my family and I will be return customers for sure!"
"I prefer distilleries over wineries so when I visited Bainbridge Island I made it a point to stop by some for a tasting. This place is a little bit far from the main parts of Bainbridge Island and takes a bit to get here. When I ordered an Uber I got the only operating one on the island at that time (yes, you read that right). If you are unable to get one you can also take the bus although they may come infrequently. They offer a tasting of four spirits for $5 and they separately have a tasting of the yama whiskey which is $15 for half an ounce. My four spirits were the legacy vodka, the doug fir gin, the battle point whiskey, and the barbados cask whiskey. The battle point whiskey is barrel aged to become the barbados whiskey. The barbados cask whiskey had caramel notes, the gin was very juniper forward, and the vodka wasn't harsh and actually not completely neutral. My favorite was the barbados whiskey, then the battle point, then followed by the gin and the vodka.Connor was amazing and really took the time to walk me through the different spirits and made sure that I had a great experience. This is a smaller distillery so he told me they can get more creative with the ingredients and the flavor profiles that they want to produce. This was a fun tasting and even if it's out of the way it is definitely a spot worth visiting if you're visiting Bainbridge Island!"
"Cute place right across the street from the aquarium. Service was great. It was nice to learn about how they make their products. My fave was their vodka. Check them out!"
"I had the opportunity to visit this gorgeous distillery today, and was so impressed by the venue, owner Ian, and the scrumptious vodkas - especially the kona blended with ice cream. This would be a fabulous place for a small event such as an anniversary or even a fundraiser. The vodkas were deliciously clean tasting and interestingly polished with diatomaceous earth!"
"Northwest Spirits is a fun place to check out as part of your booze-fueled-tasting day in Woodinville. We had a fun time here with friendly staff and a menu that offers different alcohols to taste. A group of us came here in the afternoon and the place was steady. The room isn't that large, so I recommend making a reservation if you're coming with a large group, which you can easily do online. The space used to be a tasting room for a winery as it's next to Cascade Cliffs winery and near Von's. In fact, you can order takeout from Von's and eat it here at Northwest Spirits, which is a good option, especially during happy hour when it's 15% off takeout food from Von's. I tried the Northwest Flight, which came with a tasting of their vodka, gin and two bourbons. The bourbon is the specialty here, but you'll like any of their alcohols they offer. Plus, they have creative, sprit-forward cocktails. Enjoy them outside on the patio with the fire pit and you'll have the best experience here. I'm glad I discovered Northwest Spirits, a nice change up from the wine tasting rooms."

An exceptionally fun and informative tour was provided by Mara. Nice tastings but a bit short on the pour. They're moving soon to larger space, so good luck on that, their product is very top shelf.

I first learned about Scratch Distillery in Edmonds when they hosted an onsite Yelp event (11/18/18) where I was introduced to flights of their liquor line. They share the same building as The Cascadia Art Museum and 190 Sunset restaurant and bar, proximate to the Edmonds Ferry Terminal. The tasting room was very nice with a main wrap around counter, as well as, additional seating around the corner. Their product line and the production area are prominently visible. The folks that own and run Scratch Distillery clearly have a lot of pride, passion, and attention to detail when they provided an overview tour and tasting onsite. Great flights and crafted cocktails. Staff were able to answer questions from the more experienced, to absolute newbies like myself. I ended up buying some gin which was later gifted to my brother. The next visit (3/7/20) I was a bit late (my fault, they did send a timely email) and missed the initial barrel of whisky that was bottled. However, the kind person at the tasting counter allowed me a tasting. I ended up paying for the next bottling which I picked up on 3/21/20 right at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic shutdown. My most recent visit was to support their business pivot to make 1 Liter glass bottles of hand sanitizer, which I picked up on 4/5/20. I still haven't opened it yet, but it is good to know I have a resource at home since I had no luck during the Purell hand sanitizer, Lysol spray, Clorox wipes, and toilet paper insane frenzy at the height of the pandemic hoarding (ahem stockpiling). I hope they are able to resume operations when the Covid-19 city and state restrictions are lifted. Great folks and good to have a production site and tasting room in the northend.

Great distillery if you want to try something different. Has a good selection of cellos including lemon, grapefruit & blood orange and a range of Amaro apéritifs that will please a range of tastes. Flights were fun and cocktails were really flavorful as well. Highly recommend as something to drink in SoDo!

Hello friends! Just want to give you a heads up. If you have not gone to Terramar you're missing out!!They have delicious and original food, great beers and great friendly service. This is easily one our most favorite spots north of us. We go here for lunch often. Since the speak easy opened, it is like 2 completely different experiences even though they are connected. You can get whatever is on the menu at both places. It is very chill and relaxing, there is outside seating and kids can go in the brewery and outside. They are also pet friendly.Seriously....go try them!

Phenomenal little distillery. The owners are super accommodating and eager to tell you about their product. When we stopped by they showed us around, told us about the distilling process, and let us try basically everything they make. The bourbon and scotch are both very unique and drinkable. Not superb traditional, but that's what makes it special. Hearing about what they're trying to do was really fun. The bottles ARE NOT too expensive as said below. If you go to any small distillery the prices are competitive. But considering that many of the spirits are cask strength, they're cheap.
Visit Restaurant Page"Some of the best absinthe I've ever had is made right here in my home state! Who'da thunk it?Absinthe is an oft-misunderstood spirit with such a fascinating (and checkered) history. True absinthe has been illegal for so long that the market is polluted with a number of copies--green, anise (or anus?) flavored parodies filled with food coloring. The skilled distillers at Pacific found a 150 year old recipe book which they have used to recreate and refine an antique recipe for genuine absinthe. Their skill and passion is helping to bring absinthe back to the world.Their facilities are a bit hard to find (or maybe that was just Apple maps and Siri misdirecting us). They're in the back of an office park, so you can't see them from the road. They also don't yet have a tasting room (as of this writing) but they were happy to give my girlfriend and I a free tour. I definitely recommend that you email them before showing up in order to ensure that they'll be around and available. They took us back to see their still, which was busy making a batch of their wonderful Voyager gin (the other spirit they distill). They showed us around the rest of the facilities, told us their story and answered all of our questions. It was a fun, interesting, personal tour and a unique part of our visit to Woodinville. They also put on bottling parties, which are announced regularly on their Facbook page. Friends of the distillery get together for a private party to help bottle a new batch of booze--with some festivities afterward. I am definitely thinking about attending one.My hope for this review is that enough of you Yelpers will read this and buy a couple bottles of Pacifique absinthe and Voyager gin so that these folks can expand and build us a tasting room! Now go chase that green fairy!"
"I was thrilled to find this spot in the neighborhood. It's a nice change of pace from all the breweries in Ballard. While it looks primarily like a distillery with all the machinery and production materials, they have a wonderful, intimate tasting room/bar in the building as well. It's open Wed- Sun from 4pm- 9pm (taken from website) and they were busy on Friday up until 9pm. They serve flights and cocktails. My partner can't stop raving about the Old Fashion he got a few weeks ago. We stopped by last night and I was similarly blown away. The drinks are superb. Made with their spirits and clearly made with great care and attention. The mixologists/bartenders are friendly and great to engage with. The two we met were busy the entire time but also made time to interact with the visitors. I can't wait to come back and try more drinks. I had the Corpse Reviver No. 2 and it was amazing."
"There are only a couple distilleries on Bainbridge Island so I wanted to hit up all of them during my visit (I mean, I'm already there right?). From the first distillery I walked about 15 minutes to get to Highside Distilling. This is a smaller distillery that's located around a couple of wineries and other restaurants.I got a tasting of their 5 spirits: two gins and three amari. It started off with the two gins and then moved to the amari in increasing levels of bitterness. I loved the barrel aged gin which is a mix of a gin aged in bourbon barrels for 18 months and a gin aged in new oak barrels for 10 months. They have cocktails that utilize their spirits although I didn't try any of them. This is a family owned business owned by Matt and his parents. I got to chatting with Matt about the history of their distillery and how he convinced his parents to start the business, about how he and his father were getting degrees in distilling virtually from a university in Scotland, and some of the new items that they have in the works and were coming soon. He was very personable, welcoming, and I could tell that their family really cares about the products they make. This was such an enjoyable experience and I recommend stopping by if you're visiting the island!"
"This is an awesome distillery in downtown Snohomish! We learned about this company after attending a distillery festival, as they had really distinct, inventive liqueurs. So when we were in Snohomish we decided to visit for a tasting. The space was very inviting. Staff was happy to help us, making sure we found a liqueur we liked or were curious about. They were also very sociable with all the patrons inside. And I loved that they had regulars visit. The tastings is a great way to try the various kinds of hard A they have here. My personal favorite is the nocino, which is the best accompaniment to your coffee or even just on its own or over the rocks. Nocino is a walnut liqueur, and it really has that nutty flavor that's silky and a little creamy. I love it and always have a bottle in my bar cart! But I encourage you to try everything here, as there's something for everyone. Located in downtown Snohomish, it's easy to find, with plenty of street parking around, and there's a bar area where you can pull up a stool and sniff and taste the booze. Cheers!"
"Wonderful, in-depth tour from clearly passionate people. The rum and tea spirits were all delicious - the tea-infused gin was a particular crowd pleaser."
"The wonderful lady who sold us tasters: 5/5Super friendly, knowledgeable, realistic, interesting, enthusiastic! The actual spirits themselves: 3/5It's a relatively new distillery, so... I'd give it time. To support them I bought the gin.The 'whatever' room next door: 1/5I think I would not have minded the mediocre cider so much had the service not been disinterestedly cold. I was under the impression that next door to the distillery was a tasting room for the cider... I did not realize it was actually a restaurant that served their cider. Hence, why this review is going here and not for Citizen Six.Average: 3 stars. Most certainly A-OK and bound to only get better :)"
"It was a Friday night. We met when his Rod Dog van pulled up to the curb of the Four Seasons. He got out of the van and that's when we first met. We shook hands; he introduced himself as Andrew and I introduced myself as Rana. I eventually found out that he was engaged to be married; his wedding was two and a half months away. I was a little heart broken, but decided we could still be best friends. The only problem is that I was visiting from West Hartford, CT.Andrew was our tour guide for the Road Dog Brewery Tours, which we found through Google. He was attentive, and was too good to our group of 12, filled with drunk asses and a Seattle Seahawks player trying to make the 53-man roster. He took us to Bad Jimmy's, Hillyard's and Outlanders. I was impressed by all! He explained the beer making process at Hillyard's and gave us a tour of the brewery. If anything; Andrew knew his shit; he had his beer facts together. He took into consideration our preferences and drunkeness when serving us the beer. At the end of the day, I was as heart broken when finding out Russell Wilson was with Ciara when I found out Andrew was engaged to be married. But his attentiveness and beer knowledge mindedness still won me over. He was simply the best. P.S. Yes, I am writing this review while still slightly inebriated post tour, with rosy-colored beer glasses on."
"The website boasts: "Steampunk meets Speakeasy"- nice move, Sherlock. No, seriously, nice move, Mike Sherlock., the creator of this restaurant, tasting room, craft cocktail bar, and event space within a working distillery."
"My bf and I came here with an Amazon Local deal for their distillery tour Saturday afternoon. Wow, their vodka is delicious! Smooth, clean, strong. It had a unique finish that is indescribable. I love my vodka and am a huge fan of theirs. We moved onto the moonshine. This was my first time ever trying it and it tasted like whiskey! It was basically a white whiskey. We ended up buying a bottle of each because we liked it so much. This company is very meticulous and detailed as to how they make their liquor. We're huge fans and I highly, highly recommend everyone try their liquor. We also found out that they source 95% of their items locally! Local corn, local snacks, local everything :) We were told they sell their liquor at Metropolitan Market and Bev Mo's so if you're unable to come by to buy a bottle, go there. Two thumbs up!"
"Wow! Everything about what these guys are doing blows me away. 1. I still can hardly get used to how many little distilleries there are these days that know what they're doing and make products that are clearly better than most of the main brands that have dominated the industry forever. 2. So it's hard for me to remember that lil' ol' Lynnwood has a distillery of its own, and it's doing incredible things.3. For now, these guys focus on gin. It's so cool to see that focusing on one, somewhat less-popular spirit can keep a business afloat. 4. The gin they make is all great, and one of their more specialty batches was placed among the top 100 spirits in the world by Wine Enthusiast last year. 5. They emphasize classic dry British gins, rather than the heavily-flavored interpretations of most of U.S. gin makers.6. They produce different gins for different gin cocktails--I never realized that a martini, a negroni, an aviation, a G&T, and other cocktails would taste way better mixed with different gins. But they do.7. They can make some cocktails in their tasting room. They can't make anything with alcoholic mixers (e.g., no martinis) due to regulation, but they can mix with virgin mixers. 8. You can also taste all four house gins and the house lemoncello one by one. I'm the last guy you should ask about cocktails. I drink beer, and a tiny bit of wine or scotch. No cocktails. But These guys make it interesting and fun. Three of us dudes hit up this place yesterday, and took down three flights of tiny tasters and three different cocktails, total. I have to say this was an amazing change of pace for me (for all of us), and for somebody who drinks cocktails this would be a bread-and-butter place. We all left with bottles. They're really engaged with the industry--they organize bartending competitions, they design new liquors with bartenders and others they like, they stay in touch with other distillers so they can buy wet barrels, they stay in touch with breweries so they can sell their own wet barrels, and they have tons of cool ideas for future products and expansions and getting in touch with more customers. These guys know what's up for sure. If you have any interest at all in gin cocktails, ya gotta check 'em out. Their prices blow away the well-known "fancy" brands, and their gins are clearly a cut above all the rest."
"Local pride that this Seattle, WA company placed third in the world for their Garryana Edition 8. Kudos to Westland Distillery!I decided to purchase it directly from the source and to be picked up in person (12/16/23). It was an exceptional splurge at $183.53. I appreciated the two brochures given to me. It allowed me to learn more about their product line.I was scheduled for a 12/23/23 pickup, but given the opportunity to pick it up earlier. The response was so great, they had to suspend onsite tastings to focus on retail sales and order pickups. Thankful for the adjacent parking lot and the efficient retail line. I am glad to have completed this on 12/21/23.I will have to return someday for a distillery production tour and/or a tasting flight."
"How do you not love this little but award winning gin distiller? I am not a gin person, but Captive Spirits makes the most flavorful, outstanding gin I've ever tasted.Funny story, about two years ago my beau, (huge gin monster) was wandering around the place and kindly Ben let him come in and buy a bottle. He was clearly working hard, but took the time to say hi and sell Eric a little hooch. I hope the success continues to grow for this local crew, they deserve it."
"What an amazing small batch distillery right off the main drag (Vashon Highway). Paco showed up at the door and was very inviting, allowing us to taste the vodka they distilled recently. Gin and whiskey are coming soon. Very exciting to see a great local distillery on the island, with a very "Vashon-ish" feel to it. Worth a drop in!"
"I thought it was unique and interesting that the owners were able to intelligently describe the differences between Tito's still vodka and 7 times distilled 7 windows vodka and 7 times distilled vodka. They explained how eauropean alcohol carries the notes of the food it was brewed from more than American alcohol but his enthusiasm for his tools was infectious."
"Super cute spot! The ambiance is awesome and the pizza was amazing. I wasn't sure what to order drink wise and was a bit disappointed that the bartender didn't have any suggestions even after I told him the type of liquor and sweetness I prefer. All and all it was a good time."
"For the longest time I've been wanting to stop by Woodinville Whiskey Company and I was in the area so I decided to make a quick trip here. They have a small parking lot but I was able to snag a spot. When I walked in I asked about their tours and was told that they were all booked and it's recommended to book one a couple weeks in advanced. Regardless I stayed for a tasting. I didn't get a tour but the person who gave me a tasting did give me some history, giving me tidbits such as it's the largest distillery in Washington State. Their tasting is $10 for four 0.5oz pours, starting with their flagship bourbon whiskey. It's a 90 proof whiskey that's slightly sweet, easy to sip, and has nice viscosity and richness. Next is their rye whiskey which is spicier than the bourbon but not super spicy compared to other ryes I've tasted. It's more mellow and I enjoyed sipping on it as a typically-bourbon drinker, although the spice is very much on the tongue. The third tasting was their port cask which is their bourbon whiskey finished in emptied port casks for an additional six months. This adds more color to the whiskey and makes it milder in spice. The last tasting was their Moscatel finished which is their bourbon finished in 10-year-old Moscatel de Setúbal pipes and it's definitely spicier than all the other ones I tasted. They ended the tasting with their barrel-aged maple syrup which is way more complex than your typical maple syrup and is a nice way to cleanse the pallet. This was a cool tasting and I am glad to finally be able to check this off my list."
"Nice ambiance, great owner. Drinks are really good, but menu is limited due to their liquor license so know you will get a good drink but they are not made to order. Only critique is it takes a while to get the drinks, so they just need to work that out if they are busy. Came home with a bottle of the gin!"
"In shortAmazing location, fantastic drinks, solid food choices, and the best bartender for miles around up here.In longWe've been coming in for years for occasional cocktails. We have wine far more often than cocktails, and this has usually been the spot when we want something with spirits. Like I said below, it's a pretty great location near but not on the water. You're not quite directly watching the waves, but you get fresh salty air and some awesome dramatic clouds sometimes. The inside and outside seating are both fantastic, so you're good no matter the weather. We often come in for after-dinner drinks, so I can say only so much about the entrées and desserts, but the snacks here are great. Popcorn, bread, charcuterie. We've had dinner a couple times and it was fine, though it's not really the big draw. The big draw is definitely the bar program. Their house cocktails are interesting; I almost always start with a Cedar Gimlet, which is bright and acidic and extra-refreshing thanks to the lively woodsy notes. They literally garnish with a little sprig of cedar. Even more than the house cocktails, though, the bartenders' creative flair brings each session to life here. Vanessa in particular is sensational. She knows mixology cold and has fantastic taste--we've chatted with her many times about food and bev and clearly she's tried everything and knows how to blend flavors and textures and temperatures. When she has time between orders, we always ask for open-ended drinks where she can fill in the details. Something with this spirit, maybe this garnish, that flavor. She can work off that and come up with something on the spot. Most of the other bartenders have this skill, too! She seems to be the Jedi master most of the time, where if they're getting close with an idea she can nudge it over the finish line by suggesting another touch they can add.We often end up sitting through 3-4 rounds here just to work through all the different ideas she comes up with. If she has been toying with an idea before we arrive, we happily volunteer to be the guinea pigs. She always makes every visit such a treat."
"Fun place to do a tour. The owner seems so into it and throws a lot of facts at you, it's a bummer with all the noise around it's hard to hear, maybe he'll get a microphone. Friendly staff, cute location, and interesting flavors. Would go back, it's in a great location!"
