"Solid dumpling house on the Eastside. The owners are a wonderful couple, I have been here countless times through the years. They are still the friendliest and most hardworking owners as I have seen before. I love the steamed dumplings and XLB. This place has a great homey feel to it. Portions was great! We love it."

Pro tip: if you come here on a weekend, try to get here before they open as food will take a while to come out and even longer when you're on the waitlist. I LOVE the radish cakes here. It is definitely fried with less dough and more radish creating the perfect ratio. The chicken feet is my favorite, so well seasoned and delicious. Don't pass on the shrimp rice rolls, they're so much better than the ones with the Chinese doughnuts in them. The eggplant with shrimp is another must as well. We also ordered the fish fillet plate the last time we were here and it's seriously so underrated and I would highly recommend. Ordering has been easier with their tablets so you never have to hunt a waiter down."
"I am so glad I got to try Seattle Dumpling House before even stepping onto Yelp! I heard good things from a friend for late night dumplings and I knew I had to try it out myself!I was in the area with another friend and we decided to give them a call first and see if it was okay to stop by in person (they do not have a dine-in area, mostly ordered through third party delivery apps. They said we could swing by, so with a hungry appetite at 1AM after drinking at the bars, we decided get our grub on. Driving to the location can be a little difficult in the dark, so be sure to give them a call if you need help getting to the pick up destination, it's in a quiet little neighborhood area. Look for the patio area (closed for a different restaurant) and you'll see a door. We weren't sure what to get so we tried to order a little bit of everything. Starting off with the Savory Jade Wontons (now listen here, I'm not supposed to be eating meat right now due to health reasons but I couldn't help but order a second one!!) yes, it's that good! Next up, because I said above I shouldn't be eating meat, I ordered the Garden of Eden dumplings and now THOSE were frikken delicious and nothing like I've had before! I've been to the mainstream hype dumpling restaurants in Seattle and Bellevue but these were quite unique! If you like curry flavors, you'll love this one!The dumpling skins are just so soft, melts in your mouth, the meat/filling is the perfect portion, and the sauces are just *chef's kiss* We really wanted to try the Pho but they were sold out for the night, but we did get to try the Gua Bao and that was FULL of pork, the buns were so fluffy, I almost cancelled my vegan detox LOL! Shame on me I know. Currently they are giving out tiny samples of their Mango Sticky Rice and I am madly obsessed with Mango Sticky Rice and I just love how they have different flavors they are currently testing out! You can't miss out on this dessert. Now for the two of us, we didn't have a big enough belly to order everything but we were told the Jade Wonton Ramen Bowl is the best seller, so I will definitely be trying that out next time but the fact that they are open till 3AM?That's wild! Until next time!"
"Really good food at this new spot in Chinatown! The duck was well cooked and super juicy, look at the photos!! The har gow was well made and had full chunks of shrimp in it. The shu mai also had whole pork pieces in it making for a really good texture. The beef chow fun was perfectly cooked and made. I taste the right amount of wok hei and the beef was velveted well. Service was extremely friendly and nice. I'll definitely come back here!"
"We came in as a party of four on a Saturday afternoon with no reservation. We were seated within 10 minutes. We loved their decor and their house tea! We enjoyed chatting and sipping our tea while we waited for our foods. My favorite dishes we enjoyed were the chive and shrimp dumplings, the calamari and the lotus rice. The medley of foods and flavors was delightful. I would come again!"
"A gem. This is a staple for me when I am searching for the familiar comfort of good, simple, Dimsum dishes. The menu is limited but whatever they offer -- they are all good! Steamed pork buns with the best bread to pork ratio, pork siomai, shrimp ha kao, chicken feet, and in their hot deli counter they have chow mein, roast pork, pork BBQ, roast duck. They also accept catering orders. I'm Filipino and their siopao is closest to the Kowloon siopao that I remember. The best thing-- their price! Everything is so well priced. So important in this time of inflation! The bonus is their kind, warm, people. On a long tiring day, this is a perfect stop to get quick and guaranteed good food to have at home: I will be back. Again and again and again."

The dumplings were delicious, but unfortunately not at a price point I'd be willing to pay at. We ordered through online, and received 6 dumplings pan fried, 6 boiled dumplings, spicy wonton (6 pc), small soup and wonton, and popcorn chicken for almost 60 bucks. This was a meal for me and my husband, and we were left still pretty hungry afterwards. I would recommend going in person - perhaps the experience will be better. Regardless, maybe I'll give this place a shot in again in the future.

With few Cantonese options on the Eastside, my family has been venturing to Triumph Valley for dim sum (which is what they're known for) and dinner. Dim sum is extremely popular on the weekends, and so make sure to get there right before opening (they open at 11am) to avoid having to wait in the long line that forms out the door. Dinner is less popular though and so it's much easier to grab a seat. The GOOD:- SHRIMP DUMPLINGS (HAR GOW) - of the dim sum dishes we've had, these are the BEST! They come in a set of 4 and are large, plump, and juicy.- GOLDEN CUSTARD BUNS - these buns are super fluffy on the outside and hot and gooey on the inside. Don't bother trying to cut these in half because the filling will squirt out.- SALTED EGG YOLK MOCHI - these are basically the mochi form of golden custard buns. The mochi is nice and crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside and the custard filling is hot and just a tad sweet. Definitely worth a try!- FRIED TARO CAKES - these cakes are like radish cakes, except they have a crispy sesame outside and some Chinese sausage mixed into the taro, giving the dish extra savory and umami notes. - GARLIC PEAVINE - the leaves are super tender and cooked with lots of garlic. No complaints here, except they might not always have it available. The OKAY:- STEAMED BBQ PORK BUNS - while the outside was nice and fluffy, the inside filling was too sweet-BUDDHA'S DELIGHT- this vegetarian dish has lotus root, tofu, celery, onions, zucchini, carrots, black mushrooms, and wood ear mushrooms tossed in a pink fermented bean sauce. This dish was decent overall, but could have a stronger fermented bean flavor.-XO RICE ROLLS - this dish has been a hit or miss. The first time we went, it had lots of XO flavor (which is basically dried scallop). This last time we went, the flavor was lacking.-XO FRIED RICE- similar to the rice rolls, this dish didn't have a lot of XO flavor. It also didn't have any protein other than egg white. The EH: - SEAFOOD AND TOFU HOT POT - we are big fans of seafood hotpot, but unfortunately, there wasn't much seafood to be had. The broth/slurry was also bland- OYSTER AND PORK HOT POT - again, as big fans of seafood, we were looking forward to fresh oyster stew. However, the oysters were chewy like firm tofu- I'm pretty sure they were dried originally and rehydrated in the stew which was disappointing. The dish also lacked pork belly.- BLACK PEPPER BEEF VERMICELLI - this dish looked interesting and wasn't like anything we've ever had before. It's basically a huge pan of crispy vermicelli folded over beef, peppers, onions, and bean sprouts. While we liked the crispy noodles, the dish itself was quite tasteless.Service is decent and the waiters try to be attentive as possible, but with such a large restaurant, you may need to be patient during dim sum hours.Triumph Valley has an EXCELLENT health rating which is the highest health rating possible. Their tables, floors, and restrooms are clean.Would definitely recommend this place for large parties as they have extensive seating.Overall: 3.5/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

Delicious food and convenient to have available late at night. I was a bit confused that it was not a place to dine in but rather a takeout only restaurant but that makes sense given the late night hours that they're open. I came to pickup and the people were friendly and explained how to place an order using their QR code. I ordered the Jade Wonton ramen and the mango sticky rice. There was also a bogo I took advantage of and got a Thai Iced Tea. Flavors are good and I would recommend again. The only piece of advice would be to get better signs because it's a little dark and hard to find.

We were the first customers in the morning and had the entire place to ourselves! We didn't want to order too much since we were eating around Chinatown, so we just got Siu Mai, Cheung Fun, and Har Gow. A nice man gave us hot tea and was very friendly. He played Chinese documentaries on the large TV. The restaurant was decorated in red for the mid-August festival. Food took about 15-20 minutes, he apologized for the wait and explained it took longer since it was fresh. Definitely didn't mind and so worth it! Everything was super yummy and totally hit the spot! Highly recommend, one of my favorite spots in Seattle!
Visit Restaurant Page"Fashion Dim Sum is somewhat near a corner of a strip mall near Ranch 99 mall. Parking is easy. I heard this was a good dim sum restaurant, but I figured they would have normal dishes during dinner time. Nope. It is dim sum all day! Well, okay then. The chef and the one server spoke Cantonese to each other. That is always a very good sign. Sure enough, their food is legit. The dishes came out swiftly and timely (not too fast). There were only 3 tables including ours during dinner. Honestly, I would skip the lunch/brunch crowd and come during the peaceful dinner hours instead. The prices are comparable to most. Their deco is closer to hole-in-the-wall but not too bad. I would come here again. The Food:#4 Seafood Siu Mai, $8.25 - 4.5 StarsThis is an unusual dim sum item, and it is good! I would order this again.#6 Taro Shrimp Cake, $7.95 - 5 StarsThis is a shrimp patty, covered with taro strips, and fried. This is also an uncommon item, and they did a good job. This one was hubby's favorite.#9 Pan Fried Pork Buns, $9.75 - 5 StarsThese pan fried baos were surprisingly legit. It is not a common dim sum dish, more associated with northern dumpling restaurants like DTF and DZ. The bao part was perfectly light and fluffy. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed.#22 Chinese Broccoli, aka Gai Lan, $8.50 - 3.5 StarsI wish they did the oyster sauce with the touch of oil instead of straight-up. The gan lan is cooked just right though.#23 Shrimp Noodle Roll, aka Cheung fun, $6.95 - 4.5 StarsBig pieces of prawn! This is an excellent version. Also worthy of repeat.#28 Crisply Dough Noodle Roll, aka Chinese Donut Cheung Fun, $6.50 - 4 StarsThis one is more ordinary than shrimp noodle roll, even though it is good. I would get only the shrimp one in the future. #46 Taro Nest, aka Taro Puff, $6.95 - 3.5 StarsThe filling is unusual. It has water chestnuts. Different, not better, not terrible, either. I am hesitant for the next time.Full disclosure that I sent back the shrimp dumpling, aka Ha Gow. It tasted sour and off. I was so sure they would argue with me that it isn't bad. But I gave detailed comparisons to our many other shrimp dishes, and the server was cool with my explanation and refunded. I can't decide if I should ding them for one bad dish or applaud them for agreeably refunding cuz that just doesn't easily happen in a Chinese restaurant. I chose neutral and not include in my math."
"Came here for happy hour on a Friday (Happy Hour is until 6 PM)The holiday decorations are SO adorable (little santa hat chair backings)! We tried (following are HH pricings):Hot & Sour Soup ($2) - fineCrab Rangoon ($6) - crispy and creamy. loved the fact that they were real crabDan Dan Noodles ($8) - so good, probably one of my favorite items. Soft, thin noodles swimming in a bed of hot chili oil with pork crumbles on top.Chicken Chow Mein ($9) - this was fine. Thin fresh egg noodles with a few pieces of chicken.Normal Menu:Kung Pao Wagyu Sirloin ($29) - One of the more expensive items on the menu. It was good and I think the amount of protein provided justifies the price.Mixed Soup Dumplings ($12) - Awesome. Delicate wrappers with a juicy filling. My favorite of the variety was the truffle pork. The staff members were so sweet and accommodating :)"
"Came here yesterday with the family. It was hard to review it because the food itself some were really good and some were just horrible. The neighborhood is absolutely horrendous and gross. Huge population of homeless in the back of the store. Litter is everywhere including mattresses. The footballs amazing and a must get. The shumai and hagao is gross as hell. The egg custard filling was spot on but crust was nasty and falling Apart every-time you try to put it in your mouth. Beef Tripe and daikon cake has no flavor. Fried shrimps were surprisingly delicious. Tea was good.Overall, more bad than good food."
"Golden Daisy has been staple for my family for Years!!! We go out of our way to order and pick up food because we love it somuch and the quality hasn't changed. They are our go to when we have parties and needing big quantity of dim sum or need food for catering for Birthdays. Super love their Shumai it's big, Shrimp dumplings, sticky rice, Puto, BBQ Pork and Ofcourse Roast Pig aka Letchon! All the food there are delicious, but what can I say we have our favorites. They are a small business but don't be fooled, the quality of food is nothing short of good quality and the price is very reasonable compare to others that serves half the size. Highly recommend foe Dim sum needs! They also have a little area where you can dine but seats are very limited so be prepared to wait for a spot to open."
"Ooo I was passing through Issaquah on my way to an event & saw this dim sum spot while driving. On our way back we had some extra time and stopped in. When I tell you this is a honey hole for dim sum I'm not lying. The service was so nice, the restaurant was clean & the prices were unbeatable! I loved how the staff was eating family style together. It made my heart warm to see that. All of the servings were very generous and the flavor was perfectly matched. I can't wait to go back!"
"Sorry T&T it's been a while since the mid rating. There's a reason it's constantly packed on the weekends. Looking back, I feel like I was too critical for the wrong reasons. We all know service at Chinese places differs greatly but it's not intentionally negative, just the culture. Best dim sum north of Seattle for sure.Anyway, considering all the times I come here, I feel like my old opinion is inadequate. Last reviews of food is all the same, but my scale has definitely changed, especially considering the holistic user experience."
"This popular and viral dumpling place lives up to the hype. Sheng jian baos- truly are the best item. Each is delicately made and seasoned. If you're going to order one dish, this is it. Xiao long baos- not bad! Given how these are serviced in a to go container, these aren't bad! Not the best I've ever had but they certainly do the trick. Maybe a little pricey but not terrible This is in a casual food court style place so you can have fun with mix and matching food from other spots."
"Pretty legit Chinese food here. We were amazed that such yummy Chinese food could come out of such a tiny little food truck. Everything we ordered was delicious. The meat pies are juicy and delicious. The dumplings are pretty juicy as well. We got the pork and noodles dish and it was pretty memorable. The setting is really nice where it faces a harbor like area. The times we went, there was plenty of seating. The only small surprise was that they raised their prices quite a bit but I guess that's due inflation and the impacts of the pandemic. Despite the raised prices, we will still keep coming here."
"Came by for some buns before the train. It was fresh and quick. I especially liked the large chicken bun which had a nice mix of textures and flavors. The roast pork bun was just a bit sweet for me. The pan fried pork bun wasn't very fried but had a good filling. Totally adding this to me list of train travel go-tos!"
"Harmony Palace is a new-ish eatery (several months opened) in the Chinatown portion of International District, replacing Fortuna 2.0. They cover primarily breakfast and lunch, with an official closing time at 5pm. We were snooping at 4:55, and they waved us to enter. The staff was having their end-of-day meal, but they asked us to sit down anyway. The lady said it's fine because they would have been working in the back anyway. From what I can tell, it's a very small team where the owners are there with their sleeves rolled up. We ordered extra, extra to have leftovers and to make their extended time worthwhile. The food is basic homey quality, tasty, with generous portions, and very reasonably priced. Their menu is closer to a Hong Kong Style Café, aka cha chaan teng, with dim sum added. There's a bit of everything. Being newly remodeled, they have an "Excellent" rating from King County for food safety handling rating. I must admit that is uncommon for CID and is a pleasant surprise to see here. The Food:Ha Gow, aka Shrimp Dumpling, $5.95 - 5 Stars Generously sized and tasty. This item is a win.Siu Mai - aka Fish Roe & Pork Shui Mai, $5.50 - 4 StarsAlso generously sized, this is very good but not great. Some restaurants do their pork mixed with shrimp and Chinese mushrooms for a more complex flavor profile and texture. Theirs is more in the normal category. Tomato Beef over Rice, $11.75 - 4.5 StarsThe serving size is huge! This dish is easily two servings for most people. Very tomato-y and good chucks of beef. Shrimp Chow Mein, $11.95 - 4 StarsFor the price, there aren't too many shrimps, which is understandable. I genuinely don't mind. I like the thin egg noodles they used. The dish is not oily, nor are the noodles lumped together. It sort of lacks wok hei, but the noodles weren't lifeless. I thought it was a very good dish overall. The portion is comfortable. Someone might be able to finish it, if it's the only thing they ordered. Mixed Mushrooms Cheung Fun, aka rice roll, $6.25 - 3.5 Stars The rice wrap is a bit off in the texture. I can't put a description on it exactly, maybe a bit on the gelatinous side and needs to be a bit limper. People who know cheung fun will know what I'm trying to say. On the flip side, this is one of the most well stuffed cheung fun ever. Lots of mushrooms!Shrimp Spring Rolls, $5.50 - 5 StarsThis was another gem. Well stuffed pieces of crispy fried spring rolls with lots of shrimps. This is the version I grew up and happy to see it again. Note the color of them (see photo); it's relatively light color. When the food is crispy, that means the oil isn't excessively used. It's a good thing.Phoenix Claws, aka Steamed Chicken Feet, $5.50 - 3.5 StarsLove them or hate them or don't want to have anything to do with them, HKers love these. The color is a tad light, and the flavor is a touch on the mild side. Maybe they need to use dark soy? Not sure. Hong Kong style Milk Tea, Iced, $3.95 - 3 StarsThis is just ok. I like my HK milk tea with a stronger tea flavor."
"Pretty pricy but they prob deserve it! :) Make sure its fresh before leaving!! I love coming here to get take out and then grocery shopping and grabbing it on my way out!"
"I came into town for a conference and wanted something different from my usual Duke's meals...I found China Harbor and decided to take the bus to get some Chinese food, little did I know it was this giant black building I had seen in the past and almost joked that it was a surprising Chinese food place (that i had never been to before)-- waterfront and all!I got seated by a window overseeing the boats in Lake Union while the rain fell.I ordered the Imperial Duck and the Pan Fried Noodles with Seafood. The noodles came out piping hot, a piece or two of the squid was a scoche chewy but the scallops and shrimp were just right. Crispy noodles drowned in the gravy and soaked up all the flavor and the bok choy perfectly cooked with a slight crispiness left to it. The only thing I would change is less squid (there was a lot) and maybe replace with some fish instead. The imperial duck - amazing. This was the first time I'd had it with glazed lemon slices and peanut butter-hoisin sauce. They even provided chives, cilantro, radish strip and cucumber - what a heavenly combo. I ate half there and took the rest back to my hotel I was so full and my belly was so happy.Servers were extremely nice and friendly, I will definitely be back with family to get more imperial duck next visit!!"
"Man, I don't know if I can trust you guys anymore. Three stars? Really?!?Just got home from a trip and decided to do take out since I don't have much food in the house. A friend mentioned that she was going to get dim sum tonight, and it got the gears rollin' ...In my area, I only had two places open to pick from when I searched for dumpling. One only had Potstickers, but Jade had all the options. I was reluctant after reading the reviews, but then I read the comments on Jade from the guy who said he's Chinese AND from the San Francisco area, and HE said it was the BEST he's had. So, I went for it.Without exaggeration, the Shui Mai was EASILY the best I've ever had in my life. Probably my favorite of everything I got. The pan fried potstickers are unforgettable. The only place I've ever had any even comparable was at Journey's East up in Tulalip. The pork and peanut dumplings had me a little suspicious at first, but one bite of the perfect filling was all I needed to be convinced. The bok choy buns were fantastic, doughy, not at all greasy, and like little pillows of Heaven on Earth. You all are going to have to trust me and San Fran Man on this one. This is no three star joint. FIVE ENORMOUS STARS, all the way. I'm SO STOKED I found Jade Garden!"
"Mediocre food, lackluster service. $1.25/person for tea. No wait at 10:30AM on a Saturday. My favorite thing about Lucky House is the carts with food already available - one has steamed items and one has fried and baked stuff. However, none of the dishes I usually get at a dim sum restaurant (Siu Mai, Steamed Bean Curd Roll, BBQ Pork Bun, Custard Bun) stood out; all were just alright. We spent a little over $60 for 2 adults and 3 kids, which isn't cheap, especially for the food quality."
"Really good Chinese food and free parking! Came here early evening on a Sunday and the place was practically empty. Has a nice old school Chinese restaurant vibe. All of the food was really good. We went back for seconds on the bbq pork chow mein and the wings. Peking duck with the pinch buns was really good too. They also have a full bar which we appreciated. I'd say the only downside was the service wasn't great. Had to flag down our server for more rounds of drinks and water. She seemed distracted and didn't check on us much, even though we were literally 1 of 3 seated tables in the place. Overall, our group really enjoyed the meal. I'd like to come back for dim sum soon!"
"I would peg this at about 3-4 stars depending on what you order. A 2.5 star average on Yelp is quite low though. Usually anything that low is very bad, but I don't see that here. They just started using one of those robot server roomba things, and you can't be the worst if you have one of those. Lol. Well, I think I'm pretty easygoing on this stuff; you have to really screw up a lot for me to consider rating below 3 stars. Anyways, I thought the fried items here were the best. In particular, the you tiao (fried donut sticks) for the congee had incredible texture, a much better crispiness than average. The shell on the.......fried meat buns(?)(can't remember what they're called) were also divine. If I come here again, I'd order more fried items. The rest of the food had some ups and downs. They have a wide selection of congee, and I thought the congee was also pretty good. I enjoyed the freshness and umami of the radish cake. The beef tendon, I thought, was actually too soft. Of course, they are supposed to be soft, but this was almost to the point of being mushy. In contrast, I felt both the cucumber and tofu skin rolls were a bit extra chewy compared how they usually are. The umami of the fu zhu and feng zhao (feet) were fine, but honestly not quite as good as the ones I had at Triumph Valley the day before.I will also note that a lot of the portions are larger than average (but more expensive). For example, you would normally get 3 of the tofu skin rolls. Here you get 5."
"Fantastic bakery! Boba could use work but pastries are super amazing.Boba is super inconsistent with clumps of boba that is a mix of chewy and soft versus firm. They give a ton of boba too. However it is sweet, which is nice. Some boba is great and some boba is pretty bad so it can be hit or miss with each sip.Hong Kong Milk Tea - strong tea flavor, definitely more authentic and lighter sweetness by default. Also a decent amount of ice but not sure if you can adjust as it's not really a boba shop. Red Bean Mochi - loved how this mochi stretched. Red bean inside was also very generous as you'll immediately get some on a first bite and you don't have to dig for the filling in the middle. Coconut flakes on top add an interesting flavor, but I enjoyed it while I think others may not be as open.Cream Puff - they did not skimp on the cream and it was custard-like. Fluffy even at the end of the day, a must get!Eclair - like a cream puff with a chocolate top so value wise I'd rather three cream puffs. Tasty but not sure I'm a big fan at the price point in comparison to the other pastries.Egg Tart - nearing the end of the day, they weren't as fresh obviously but they were still tasty. If you come later, I highly recommend taking them home to bake a little bit and let the egg custard rise otherwise it may be flat."
"Cute little cafe at the corner of the plaza across the metropolitan market Breakfast is legit for a pretty good priceRoasted duck 5/5 delicious! Ordered again during our second visit Beef Chow FunCentury Egg & Pork CongeePumpkin with salted duck egg: my favorite!!! Sour and spicy shredded potatoes Matcha boba milk tea: pretty good"
"I need more quality self serve dim sum places in my life!Bookmark this place if you're ever near Kent, WA on your next Seattle Trip! Mei Wa Bakery is located near Ranch 99 at the Great Wall Shopping Center! This place has a lot of restaurants to choose from too, but my friend always takes us here to get dim sum and it always hits the spot! Everything is under $10 and the quality is just as good as the dim sum restaurants! I love getting the siu mai, ham sui gok, and no mai gai!"
