Teresa L. "Came in on a Saturday and was greeted right away by the friendly owners. We went with the Tofu Soup, Japche & Kalbi. We wanted to try their Korean Fried Chicken, but they were out. We chose our seats & shortly after, we were served cups and a jug of water. We were quite happy about the jug since we drink a ton of water! Then came the Japche (noodles). It was still steaming from the wok. The tofu soup was bubbling all the way to our table. The first sip I took, I was in love. The kalbi was next! The flavor and the tenderness made me say, I'm definitely coming back for more. The banchan (side dishes) were simple but all delicious. The service was great! Overall food and experience, 5 stars! Can't wait to come back to try their other dishes on the menu!"

I ran late and got there in 30 min, but the chicken was still so crispy even with the sauce.I got two large orders of half soy garlic half honey garlic. For those two orders it came out to about $25. It's such a great deal, for three people it still ended up being two separate meals. Definitely planning on coming back regularly!"

Kat D. "I loved the one in Puyallup which had their service and food down. So I was kind of disappointed with the federal way location. The order takers were efficient and friendly. The restaurant itself looked clean and new, although the configuration is a bit odd. The food delivery - I couldn't tell what was what, and nothing was labeled or explained to me. You have to sift through the bags on the counter to find your food with no help from the staff standing behind it. They were recently opened so one of the very young people was loudly explaining to about 4 or 5 staff about how to do their jobs.I had two bags and had to remove each item and inspect the food to tell which sandwich was which. I also ordered a large and small fries. They were dumped in the bag with the sandwich boxes. I honestly couldn't tell which was which. They looked like the same size unfortunately although it was a generous serving if one of them was a small. The food was a mixed bag - literally. The bacon avocado sandwich was disappointing because the avocado was not fresh and was brown (see pic). I disposed of it and added my own avocado I had at home. The blackened chicken sandwich was very tasty, but it was thin and floppy. I felt a bit ripped off for the $9 chicken strips. As in the pic, it was an odd assortment of misshapen small and one large strip. It was not appetizing and was flavorless, but I suppose that's what the dips are for. The custard was delicious. The French fries were tasty. But I'm hesitant to return because of the food quality. But I'll try again once they've been open awhile. The Puyallup location is worth the drive!"

Chris E. "I'm all for supporting local businesses and have been doing so 10x since the beginning of the COVID situation, but this KFC hits new lows, even when accounting for fast food quality expectations, cost cuttings, and delivery overhead. I just spent $94.21 for a 16 piece meal and two sandwiches. Chicken was extremely old and reheated, tough, and decomposing like crazy. This is borderline dangerous vs. merely "not tasting very good" - and I'm pretty tolerant.I've attached a screen shot of the cost breakdown so folks don't think I'm exaggerating."

Sarah S. "We came in at 7:15 tonight on a whim. I was really excited! I was drawn to three things before even seeing the menu-the cleanliness of their restaurant (SPOTLESS.), their tasteful modern chicken art (which I love) and their story (on the back of the menu. The restaurant's history is really cool!). We ordered the lumpia, Kare-Kare, and the Pancit Palabok. We were going to go with the veggie lumpia, but the waiter said that they only had pork. We went for it anyway. The pork lumpia was perfect-it was savory, chewy and tasty. It came with a red sauce (we think it was the banana paste, but it tasted a little different). It came with a pickled orange which we really enjoyed. The pancit palabok was wonderful as well. While I wasn't the biggest fan of the balance of the flavor of the sauce, I liked everything in it. The lemon juice really made this dish shine. I have never had a pancit before though-next time I am going to explore what sauces to pair it with, and what ones I like. The quality of the food was outstanding, even if this wasn't necessarily for me.The Kare-Kare was great. It was a little sweeter than I anticipated, but the flavors were solid. I would have had this with rice (which we didn't order). The service was great. We were walk-ins with less than an hour to close, and everyone was friendly and we felt welcome even if we were some of the only people there. I would come back! There are some things that I wanted to try that we didn't get to."

Valerie W. "Am I missing something?!Why do I feel like I was bamboozled?!Overall, I feel this place is mediocre at best. First time I tried coming here I walked in and waited in what I thought to be the line to order. However 10 minutes in and people kept passing through the front desk but no one to acknowledge the people in line? Asked around and everyone seemed to be just as confused as I was. Needless to say I left.Fast forward and figured I'd give it another shot by ordering online. Order said it would be done in 20. When I got there in 20, it was busy so it was an additional 10 minutes or so to get my order to go. No biggy. Ordered an array of things to try...the chicken nuggets, a thigh, fries, pot of gold (mashers, gravy, and corn) and plenty of sauces. I only live 3 blocks away and by time I got home the nuggets were already soggy. I ordered it 1 star spicy...but somehow they still lacked flavor? Fries were overly salty and somehow my chicken was not salty at all. The thigh was the saving grace, but certainly nothing to write home about. The pot of gold was simply meh. Again, didn't feel like it was well flavored and simply mediocre. The sauces...the sweet and sour tasted watered down. All others were OK. For $30 there was more food than I could eat, but it wasn't very good. I don't think I'll return."

Generous Y. "Half order is roughly 8 pieces. Vons is one of the top Korean fried chicken spots in the area, it's easily in my top 3, closer to top 2 though. Pieces here are pretty big compared to most spots as well. Though, I've had some inconsistent spreading of sauce, so there's flavorful chicken and then original fried chicken in one order. Crispy Garlic Chicken - instead of all my chicken being garlic flavored, the reality was only 3 had a garlic flavor. The rest tasted more like the original fried chicken, still juicy and tender but without the flavor I paid for. If I were aiming for this, I would order the original and find sauce on the side. Great chicken, just not really garlic. I'd recommend this and hope that all the pieces are evenly coated.Crispy Fried Chicken (Spicy) - a bit spicy, it kicks in after a short bit. Not overly hot, but it hits. Tender and juicy chicken with big bites of meat, but still on the plain side being the original version. Crispy Fried Chicken (Mild) - no spice at all, while others might consider this plain and flavorless, the chicken is still very tender and juicy. Great safe pick, but I'd recommend trying a flavor nine times out of ten."

Marcus S. "Finally I got to see what all the FIL - a was all about with Chick FIL a. My first visit. I've tried to go a number of times in the past but the lines would always be out the wazoo no matter which one it was or where it was. So I came first thing in the morning for breakfast. How was it? Not bad but pretty overrated. I got a spicy chicken biscuit. A slight kick but not really spicy. I can see why people hold the chicken here in such high regard, it's crispy and cooked like it would be at a stand alone restaurant, not a fast food place. The biscuit however was a let down. The flavor was there, it had sort of a cheesy herb flavor but it fell apart more and more after each bite until it was just crumbs. I imagine their other breakfast biscuits are the same. So while the chicken was great the biscuit fell flat or should I say - - apart. I got the mini chicken bites as well. It's a gimmicky waste of money. The chicken did carry the same quality, but the "rolls" are inconsistently, disorganized buttered pieces of a roll. Sliced up and put around little pieces of chicken. They're doughy and without really any flavor so you definitely need jelly or sauce on them. I'd just skip these. They deceptively charged me almost $12 for the 10 piece. It's not marked on the menu so beware of this. The nuggets are probably better. The staff were alright and the length of time was fine so they're ok here but food wise was, it was disappointing biscuit and gimmicky, high priced food I think I'll settle for the lower key fast food variety. Quantity may have the advantage."

Debra W. "The food here is delicious. And for the food alone, I would give a solid 4.5 stars out of five. After my first visit, I have been craving their short rib soup. The birth is light but extremely flavorful. The sweet potato noodles are the perfect texture, never overcooked with that nice soft chew and perfect for slurping. The beef rib is tender and full of flavor, just like broth. Pro tip, when you're done with the noodles add some rice to your broth. The chicken wings are always delicious. Crispy on the outside and juicy In the outside. The batter in the chicken is not too heavy either. The wings are big too. Plenty of meat on these wings. We did get a small side of banchan with the wings consisting of fermented kimchi, cucumber and fish cakes. The reason for the lack of stars is because on our last visit, we walked in at opening and almost all the tables had remnants of guests being there. Mostly eaten food, empty glasses and lots of dishes on the tables. Halfway through our meal, it clicked in our heads that it was all leftover from closing. So instead of cleaning at the end of their late service, it was left to be cleaned the next day. Our server was attentive to us & we did order from a QFC menu and he did take our payment at the table. So definitely no qualms about the service for us while we were there. Would I come back? I cannot lie I love their short rib soup. But low key worried about the housekeeping of it all."

I thought the price was on the expensive side but after seeing the size and tasting the quality, I could understand.I got a drum stick and it was super juicy on the inside and the skin was super crispy and thin. I also got a chicken stick which is essentially chicken breast nuggets on a skewer. Overall all the chicken was delicious in flavor - it's slightly salty, sweet, and has some filipino flavors. Highly recommend.I got a side of crispy potato and they were definitely crispy! It was a mix of two different potatoes and nicely salted. I didn't get much of a garlic flavor though.Highly recommend a stop as their chicken was pretty good.Note there is a 15% added service fee even for take out orders."

We had no idea what to expect, but we walked inside this borderline sketchy spot. Wow, ordered, paid up, and walked out with a sack of fried chicken. We didn't even bother driving it home or eating in the car. At the corner of MLK Way and S Jackson, we started digging in the sack of fragrant, crisp fried chicken in the parking lot. Fried chicken on the car trunk. No frills, no sauce, no secret spices...just damn fine fried chicken. Between the two of us, we've probably consumed an entire chicken farm over the years, lol. We spread the culinary chicken dollars all over the city at various indie spots like Wing Dome, Ba Bar, Mangosteen, Bok a Bok, Heaven Sent, Brothers and Sisters, S/T Hooligans, and Cookie's Country Chicken. Heck even a sale bag from Safeway's deli will do. I revisited Quick Pack Food Mart after stopping by nearby Temple Pastries on 5/9/21 as part of a low key Mother's Day Sunday wandering drive. The same folks were behind the counter. Honestly, I have no idea what else they sell at their business. All I know is that I made a socially distanced beeline to the deli display case at the front counter. This time it was for an order of 7 chicken wings (=14 wings elsewhere) for a little over $16 with an extra charge for using a debit card. Pleasant service and received well wishes for Mother's Day. Meandered from the Central District to University District/Portage Bay and ate two wings at Fritz Hedges Waterway Park. Sitting outside by the water, fresh air, sunny, eating tasty fried chicken. Simple but mighty fine Mother's Day. Two words to remember when stopping by Quick Pack Food Mart, FRIED CHICKEN!"

Kdramas are the epitome of product placement and Olive chicken is featured quite a bit in the shows The King: Eternal Monarch and Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (Goblin). Korean chicken is fabulous - super crunchy on the outside, most and juicy on the inside with a myriad of different flavors. I prefer the traditional non-sauced variety (Olive Golden Fried Chicken is SUPER GOOD), but you can get your fill of sweet and savory flavors - secret sauced, soy garlic, hot and spicy, etc. I've tried a number here at Olive and their honey garlic is really good. The entire menu isn't available quite yet as they just literally opened a couple weeks ago. The layout of the restaurant and bar is quite stylish. The wait staff was super friendly and attentive. I say near because I like my breading crispy and crunchy, basically unhealthy style. But Gangnam says noooo, you will be healthy and we will make it only slightly crispy with no grease or oil. So I'm like Ok Gangnam, whatever you say cuz I just love your tenders. Another thing, the chicken itself just LOOKS and TASTES sooooooo clean! Love it! And its Hot (temperature wise)! Love it! And they're not small starved chicken tenders either, they got some meat to them! That's pretty much it! I do wish they gave you an option for the side white sauce that comes with it, perhaps hotsauce instead?! It is "slightly" pricey for a 5 or 10pc, but for me its for sure worth it. All of it was good, I especially liked the Baldak, there is something about it that reminds me of BBQ but also the gochujang flavor that is prominent in Korean foods!I wish the Garlic chicken had more sauce or perhaps was tossed in the garlic rather than dribbled on top. While I did enjoy the "Plain" bites that I had I really like the garlic flavors. If you are in the area, this is one of three favorite Korean chicken joints and I would place this in the 3rd position of those three."

This is technically Jack's BBQ, just that this is a portion of the overall Jack's menu that provides chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders, at what seems to be a slightly lower price point than the actual BBQ items.I ordered online for pickup and the process is very smooth - just enter the restaurant, tell your name of the order, and they will grab it for you in the order table area. I ordered the chicken sandwich original with the all meat chili, and wow, the food is quite filling. The chicken within the sandwich is moderately crispy, but there wasn't much slaw in the sandwich to augment the flavor of the sandwich. Definitely not super impressive compared to other places I have tried, but it adequately satisfied my cravings. I wished the chicken to be crispier and the other ingredients accentuate the flavor more to balance out the very generous portions of chicken. The all meat chili is quite rich, and you can add onions, cheese, and sour cream if you wish. The chili is very flavorful and smoky, and with huge chunks of meat! It is a bit spicy and quite salty just for your information. The benefit is that there's not too much water and so there's a lot of meat in it to bulk up in protein As this place is quite close in proximity to where I live, I may some time in the future try the kickin' version of the sandwich to see how it goes."

When we first visited, we had the boneless Cheese Snow, and half&half of bone-in Soy Garlic and Yangyeom. Seasoning was perfect. The chicken perfectly moist and crispy. Take-out service was excellent. It took less than 15 minutes from order to walking out the door, despite each order of chicken being freshly cooked. And it tasted fresh. We couldn't resist, and started snacking on the boneless pieces right in the car home. Each piece was steaming hot and ever-so-moist!Two nights later, we went in again, and this time had half&half of bone-in Soy Ganjung (not on the printed menu) and Soy Garlic (again!!!), and half&half of Cheese Snow and Vegetable Cheese (also not on the printed manu). This time, we added their Shake Shake Fries and Pickled Radish. Again, everything was off-the-charts good. The fries were amazing. Eaten in the car, they were perfectly crispy on the outside, and steaming hot and creamy inside. Once we got home, we sprinkled the seasoning on them, shoke the bag, and then they were even better!! The included seasoning was generous and could season 3 to 5 times more fries. So I know what I'm doing tomorrow - buy the extra crispy fries from the freezer section of the supermarket, air-frying them and shaking the Chiko seasoning on top.I'd give Chicko Chicken 6 Stars if I could! If they can maintain the standards, this is going to be my regular KFC place. Great addition to the food scene in Bellevue coming from Canada.
