Chicanos Mexican Food Truck

My boyfriend and I are still finding out some hidden gems since our move to Puyallup. This taco truck is within walking distance of where we live, so we decided to venture out. I love their very dark lime green food truck as it really stands out! They have their prices posted next to their offerings, and it is easy to read as they have it on a white board with black marker. As it can be difficult when other food trucks use post-it notes and pen or pencil. Although the prices are a bit pricey in comparison to other Mexican restaurants and food trucks.However, the prices are justified when you smell the food and open up to see the portion sizes. We were super full and had to fight ourselves to get the last bite in as it would be such a waste to throw it away. The food is so flavorful and they gave so many fresh veggies to go with the food. Even their rice and beans were great and didn't taste instant or old. Their sauces were also a great way to get some spicy kicks to your taste buds. The watermelon aqua fresca was refreshing and I loooooved the little watermelon pieces! Literally felt like I was sipping out of a watermelon. My boyfriend was extremely impressed with the varne asada and even mentioned how this might have been the absolute best Carne asada he has ever had and he has tried that dish at over several different cities and states.The packaging was done neatly, they also give you a little buzzer to know when your order is ready and have a cute, covered seating area if you are just too hungry to go home. They update any closures or specials on their social media so definitely give them a follow to keep up to date. I am excited to try their other offerings!

Located near the Puyallup fair grounds, this food truck has fresh Mexican food made to order! I ordered Birria tacos and the Tamales with rice and beans, never had I ever thought I'd be complimenting refried beans, but honestly they were amazing. Everything was fresh and still hot when I got home. The guy who took my order was polite and fast! They have a seating area behind the truck that looks clean and dry too!

HAIR in food gets an AUTOMATIC 1 STAR. Do better people. My husband took 1 bite out of a taco and bam! Long hair on his first bite. I go to take the other tacos out of container to inspect... BOOM another hair on my hand!!!!! This tells me it is from the servers. So I thought we could salvage a meal. We dive into the tamales and to our surprise, they are dried out CHICKEN tamales. IF you are going to serve tamales that are OUT of the ORDINARY, for gosh sakes, list this on your menu!

I never new this was here! The food was amazing. I had the birria tacos. Very clean food truck and very friendly staff. Definitely would come here again!!

We cannot get enough of this food!! It is AMAZING. We have gone a few times now and tried the birria tacos, street tacos, birria ramen, birria burrito and birria torta. We have also had their chips and salsa and beans and rice. Everything has been amazing. The birria meat is so incredibly satisfying-exactly the way you want shredded beef to taste. The people are very kind and have given great recommendations each time. The prices are reasonable and the portions are sufficient. My only wish is that they included more of the acidic items to cut the richness of the beef, but I just ask for extra pickled veggies/limes and they always hook me up!!We love this taco truck!!

Hidden Gem. Burritos are sooo good. Friendly service. Got the Birria burrito, so good I came back for the Cali burrito and both tasted so good!

My husband and I ordered a Cali Burrito and Asada Fries to share. The burrito was huge we almost regretted getting the asada fries because we were both full from sharing the burrito. Then we realized we made the right decision lol. The asada fries were very good. The amount of meat and sauces were perfect. We also ordered two Jarritos and it paired up well for an evening in with movies. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. We will be going back for more! We miss these foods as Cali transplants.

As my husband said, a solid 4 stars. Good flavors, good portions. Because of said portion, my birria burrito fell apart and I found myself needing a fork to finish it, but otherwise, it was good. Not a lot of taco choices, but we still want to try them and see. I felt really bad for the staff because they were sitting at the front of the truck, fanning themselves. I imagine it gets stifling in there.

Love love love.Second time and I forgot to post the before. Oops not sorry.Portions, presentation, and people here are fabulous. I'm in awe that they do so much in one food truck. We're beyond blessed Pierce county! The flavors, the texture and the birria was and is always delicious. I think that there is a general representation when a business sends you with the extra limes and accommodations. The birria ramen had a lot of meat and does not disappoint. Leftovers of tacos in the air fryer was the best breakfast to wake up to!
