"My bestie and I popped into Poirier's for a pre-Christmas girl dinner and it was sooo good! I had never been before, but have been dying to try them since they opened.I arrived a little early, so of course had to try one of their holiday-themed cocktails. My eggnog espresso martini was fabulously delicious. (In fact, when my friend arrived, I might have actually ordered another!)We skipped appies and went right to the main course. I'm a big jambalaya fan and couldn't resist trying theirs. I was a little surprised when I ordered it and the server mentioned it takes half an hour to make - I wish they made note of that in the menu. I probably would have ordered something else had I known; but by now I was craving jambalaya so I was willing to wait!We enjoyed our cocktails while we waited for my jambalaya. When it arrived it was so delicious - hot and spicy and full of yumminess, including jumbo shrimp, sausage, and all the jambalaya goodness. My friend enjoyed her meal, too, and we ended the evening by sharing a bread pudding for dessert. Folks, this was an amazing dish - sweet, creamy, festive, hot, cold, topped with caramel, allllll the good things in one fantastic dessert.Service was great, too! This is a family-friendly spot so it was a bit loud (thanks to a nearby toddler) in our area; if I went back I might sit in the bar to cut down on any potential kiddo interruptions. I hope they bring back their low country boil menu again this summer as I'm dying to try it!"
"Thanks to Field To Table for introducing us to another great local establishment, Where Ya At Matt is a great find. The name is really befitting as you have to check FB/IG to identify the location and operating hours. Once you've located the truck don't let the line discourage your wait as the service is efficient and wait time is minimal.Huge kudos for offering vegetarian options, especially the red beans and rice (it's nearly impossible to find vegetarian Cajun style anything and especially the red beans and rice dish.) My husband really enjoyed his shrimp poboy and shrimp/grits. The beignets are the REAL deal, a must order to enjoy with a great cup of coffee. We will definitely return, and highly recommend!!"

Visit Restaurant Page"it's been a few years since I've had crawfish from here. My friend and I went on a Friday night and we were literally the only people inside haha, but granted there was a lot happening in Seattle that weekend. Service was so quick and friendly, my friend comes here often so the girl working already knew her order. I decided to order a combo with crawfish and mussels. I think they made some update to the sauce but it was definitely a lot less sweeter than I remember, A+. The mussels and crawfish they had were gigantic. The whole boom bang use to be sickenly sweet that I almost always had take home because I'd get sick of eating it. I did notice the consistency in the sauce has change, it's thicken with corn starch from what I can tell because it's very gravy like. Still delicious. Nice to know that even though so many new crawfish places are popping up, this is till a good option if everywhere else is busy."
"This is a new place for us to check out. They haven't been open very long but we were excited to try it out. It is take out only but so worth it. The food was amazing! They have great customer service! I loved that it was not too spicy but you could add your own heat to your liking. However, it would be nice to have a choice of what type of rice to add to the Jambalaya. We wish them much success with their new business. We will definitely be back!"
"Seafood + spice lovers must have a meal here!I came here shortly after the restaurant opened and ordered a few pounds of seafood to share with friends. We got the hottest spice level which was "hot" at the time. The seafood quality was great and the house sauce tasted good but we thought it could have been a little spicier. Came back a few months later and there were so many differences! The space was larger and fitted with a full bar. The menu had more items and looks like they have a happy hour now. The absolute highlight was the spice level though. Now there's a "flaming hot" level and boyyyyyy it was literal fire. So garlicky and delicious. Same great seafood quality as before too. Tried some of my friend's mango sauce and it was tasty too, not overly sweet. May try it next time. Service was great and super friendly. Crawfish Hut is now one of my favorite seafood boil spots!"
"We have been meaning to come here for years and finally had the chance early on a Friday night. Go early enough and enjoy the Happy Hour!!Save room though. The food is great and there's a lot of it! As it was our first time there we got a couple baskets of appetizers, a Catfish Po Boy Sandwich, and a basket of crawfish and chips. As excellent as all of this way, we did it wrong. Get the boil. We were the only table to not get the silver bowls filled with corn, potatoes, and seafood. Get. The. Boil. This restaurant is known for it's seafood boils, offer great prices on the seafood, and often run a special on pounds of a certain kind. Get the boil. We've talked to a few friends and will be back to tackle those silver bowls filled with hot and steamy goodness (also the fried pickles though because they were too good to skip)."
"Fantastic! Delicious food. I had the Oyster po'boy, wings and hush puppies. All were perfect. Service was fast and super friendly. I'll be back many time."
"I been waiting for this place for a while now since I really enjoyed the food in white center. The rating is more of a 3.5 right now but I'm hoping it's because they are new that they will improve. There was about 3-4 groups when we got there so it wasn't too busy. It was also happy hour so everything was $1 off except for the boil. The place is not too loud so it was nice and I like the openess of the restaurant making it bright.Foodwise:1lb mussels + 1lb shrimp --- fresh, plump and yummy. Wish that potato and corn would be included but it's not, unless you order crawfish Crawfish corn chowder --not sure if they chopped up the crawfish too fine but did not get any crawfish at all.Soft shell crab plate with Cajun fries -- pretty good need more fries thoughRaw oysters: fresh, but needs better shucking, there was a lot of oyster shells remnant which makes it hard to eat Service: people were nice and came by to refill our water and asked how our food was. However, food came out very slowly. We ordered a second plate of the oyster and that one took soo long that the waiter keeps coming by asking if we were waiting for the check...it wasn't that busy so not sure why the slowness.Overall, I'll come back later as I do like the food but maybe give it a few months for them to improve the service."
"My family had a delectable dinner here during our vacation - what a local gem this is!! Family owned, great service, relaxing casual vibes, and the food is delicious!! It's like a Cajun-Asian fusion spot with everything from crab rangoons to gumbo. Very interesting menu and we loved all the items we tried. We were starving when we arrived so we ordered a bunch of stuff to try and I'll give you a word of warning- their portions are very generous so we couldn't finish it all haha! We tried the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Garlic Noodles, Garlic Green Beans, Gumbo, and of course some Crab Rangoon (called "fried crab meat cheese wonton" on their menu lol but it's the same). Everything was excellent - all the flavors you expect and very high quality. We got a "large" side of rice thinking it would be just enough for the three of us and it was massive - enough for more like 5 people I'd say lol. The only thing I didn't like as much was the honey walnut shrimp - the flavor was great but the breading was very thick - but my son loved it so it's more of a personal preference. Their menu is quite varied - they also have a lot of seafood boil options. I was really surprised how empty it was given how great the food was - but it was snowing outside and cold and kind of early in the evening for dinner so that's probably why. Their prices are reasonable and they have lots of parking available. All the staff were friendly and genuinely excited for us to try their food. It's obvious that the staff are a family and it's very sweet - felt like I was having dinner at a friend's house. They also have tons of TVs all around so you don't ever get bored or lonely. We had a great experience and will definitely be back anytime we visit the surrounding Seattle area."
"TLDR: Good service, very spacious, decent food. A pretty expansive seafood menu.FoodSuper Kim Noodles - Flavorful but incredibly salty - I'd passOysters - This is seasonal and who knows what you'll get but the oysters we got were delicious! And they included a unique spicy thai inspired sauce.Lunch Special - A smattering of shrimp, mussels, and fries this was a decent value and enjoyable.Would I Return? The food was fine, the service was very good. I certainly would ask my team to lunch here."

My latest trip to Poirier's On the River was fantastic. The service was attentive and prompt. The food was also spot on. I ordered their dinner special, Oyster Gumbo, for $39.99, and their Red Beans and Rice for $26. Both were delicious and filling. The only complaint is that the food took about 30 minutes to come out. However, it is well worth the wait for the good food; just don't come here when you have other time-sensitive plans after dinner. There were also many other customers, so being a bit slow makes sense. Delicious food takes time to make. The interior of the restaurant is very cozy. Personally, I prefer it quiet and not have a band play during dinner.

Another stellar meal from Where Ya At Matt! I tried the fried chicken po boy and really liked it! Enjoyed how the chicken was moist and the flavors complimented each other. Think I found a good combination with the shrimp and gritz with the jambalaya (have to give props to my Dad for that idea). Decided to try a slice of pecan pie (brown sugar was a nice addition) and the king cake was nice, not too sugary but light and airy. Great work Matt, I'll be coming back to try more of your delicious food!

What a great experience! I highly recommend, everything! The hot level was fantastic, I felt like as someone who loves spicy could have gone to the highest! The service was fantastic and loved the pretty drinks! What a bonus! I really enjoy when every server is helpful!

Craving seafood boil? Crawfish house is a pretty solid spot to satisfy those cravings! The clams and crawfish was cooked to perfection and seasoned very well. My mouth is still watering thinking about how flavorful everything was. I was really impressed by the service here. Our server was not only attentive to us but also super funny! It made my bestie and i first time here a great one. Also! If you're like me and hate getting your hands dirty, this place offers you good quality gloves to keep them clean. So if you haven't checked this place out yet.... RUN, don't walk!

The Renton location of the Crawfish House is relatively new-ish. The restaurant is well-sized, but the parking lot was surprisingly limited even though the adjacent business was closed then. We were lucky to have grabbed a spot that someone vacated. When we arrived, a huge group was done eating and otherwise, only 2 or 3 tables were occupied. Even so, the two wait persons were quite busy. Maybe it is still growing pains in managing the restaurant. The décor is basically TV screens, several of them. I have never been to the other location, so I don't know if they aim to be a sports bar, too.A piece of paper at the door announced no crawfish. Ah well. We decided against ordering seafood boil because of it. We ordered ahead of two other tables who sat down after us. All three tables received our food at the exact same time at a substantially longer wait for our table. This tells me they are batch-cooking in the kitchen, grouping orders together. I hope they change to cook per order. Our fries visually looked good but were limp upon biting. They could have used more frying time. We took home most of the yam fries to air-fry some more. The Food:Catfish Basket with yam fries, $12.99 - 3.5 StarsHalf Soft-Shell Crab po boy sandwich with yam fries, $8.99 - 3.5 StarsOyster po boy sandwich with yam fries, $13.99 - 3.5 StarsThe treatment of each seafood is similar. They are all well-seasoned and well fried. All the seafoods are 4 stars. All the yam fries are 3 stars because they need more cooking time.I decided to round up to 4 stars because their prices are reasonable.

"This place is dope. It has been many trips since I last reviewed Dragon's Crawfish. There have been many crab boil places, but none as good as this place. The price seems fair to me, especially with the quality of food you get. Prices are all based on market value. I honestly have no problem with the price to value of food.If you do visit I would recommend getting the boil wet and grab some bread. You will get delicious seasoned butter in your bowl and you can dip the bread in for some extra delicious butter soaked bread. Go here with some friends grab a half or big bowl depending on the size of the group and hunger level. This way you will good a great mixture of foods for the best price. We have done a half with 4 people and been fine, but if you want more food do a whole with 4-6 people, and a half 2-4. I would recommend getting some heat on this. The real flavors are added with some heat, but the no heat does taste good as well. Its definitely worth it.Final note and I believe I mentioned this in my previous post as well. The chicken wings here are simple fried chicken wings with incredible seasoning and a really nice ranch. I would high recommend this for anyone. Its delicious. I honestly think they might be the best chicken wings in Tacoma."
"I've only ever been to crawfish king for special events: the first, the international chinatown district (ICD) food walk for their 5 grilled shrimps ($6) and snow crab boil cluster ($6), and second, for their annual all you can eat (AYCE) ($45)! Each time was amazing! I love the variety of seafood offered at crawfish king. Don't be fooled by the name -- they also offer shrimp, snow crab, clams, mussels etc. so many options to choose from! Don't like seafood? They also have other add ins, such as lil smokies sausages, corn on the cob, potatoes, and egg. There's four sauces to choose from: garlic butter, rajun cajun, bayou, and big easy (combination of all the sauces) and you can choose the level of spice from 0-3. I had a lot of fun at the all you can eat with my friends. We started with 3 pounds and got 1 pound rounds afterwards. I prefer snow crab over shrimp over crawfish, personally. Buy a lot of my friends loved the crawfish! We tried all 4 sauces, and they were all delicious! Personally, my favorite was the garlic butter. I also highly recommend their happy hour slush drinks. The Hennessy + coke slush was delicious and only $5. It definitely helps get all the buttery seafood down!Crawfish king charges an automatic 20% gratuity for dine-in, so keep that in mind. Service is good with quick bucket changes and water refills. The restaurant can get very busy and loud, a great place to hang out with friends. There is free parking across the street, but it fills up fast. Restrooms are gendered."
"I was in Bellingham on business and decided to get dinner before I left. After looking through my options, I decided on Bayou on Bay because I love Cajun food.I looked over the menu and decided on Jambalaya, and I'm very happy I did!The menu describes the Jambalaya as containing smoked chicken, tasso pork, local andouille sausage, and Bay shrimp. To me, that is an impressive amount of meat. When I actually ate it, I found that EVERY bite was mostly meat of one or more types with very little rice! Not only that, but I really liked the flavor of the dish. The Jambalaya also included a square of cornbread. It wasn't gargantuan, just a normal piece of cornbread that was a good compliment to the meal.If you decide to visit Bayou on Bay I would recommend the Jambalaya. Also, if you're vegan, they offer a vegan Jambalaya."
"Verdict: try this place! Creole food is extremely underrated in general - and more people need to know about how great it can be! It makes sense why this place is so highly rated. It seems grungy, but the vibe of this place is honestly awesome. My fiance and I arrived at 2pm on a bright sunny Saturday afternoon - it wasn't too busy, and they have Happy Hour (HH) from 1pm to 6pm today! The upstairs (outdoor) patio isn't "too" high up, but it's covered so even on a boiling hot sunny day, you're still shaded. My fiancé and I ordered four things (three on HH menu):- Cajun mussels- Spiseattle chicken sandwich (a la carte - HH)- Bal-mont burger (a la carte - HH)- jalapeño cheddar hush puppies (HH)I also ordered a Rojo red ale ($5 on HH). All-in (tax and tip) it was a shade under $75 USD, which, for two people on the weekend, is nice!Mussels were plentiful and had a nice level of seasoning to them. Burger was great, but didn't have pork belly (maybe this is the HH difference?), the chicken sandwich was juicy & flavourful, and the hushpuppies were quite delicious!Service was actually extremely fast - from when I put in my order to when we got all of our food took less than 35 minutes, and it's self-serve water and cutlery / takeout containers so it is very fast in that way."
"I'm say first and foremost our server was great! The king crab selection is overly price for one 1/2 legs. They had a special on the shrimp and snow crab. The atmosphere was pretty chill lots of families dining in. Our portion was enough for leftovers. Lobster Pasta was good the noodles didn't taste fresh they tasted old. The fried shrimp basket was delicious it was cooked in new grease. Our seafood boil we added sausage with clams, shrimp snd lobster. Not the best I had but it was good."
"Located in a slow strip "mall" of three-four spots. Not much traffic, so most are intentionally coming through....for good reason! The food was delicious! Admittedly, we got baskets though: two chicken and a seafood basket. Again, all was delicious. BUT, I should've looked closer; so much more! E.g., ettouffe, shrimp & grits, and beinets! (sp). Gotta return to check those out! Fries were seasoned, breading was just right, and the fish. The catfish! Memories of fried fish from a storefront back east, grab and go, being happy and full! Service was nothing but friendly, warm, and quick. Check them out soon and support local! This spot is straight ... dem spots in town (you know who) best watch their backs... like the Wire - "Battle's Kitchen comin'!" [Omar!]"
"After continuing to visit, the quality of the food has remained consistently good. Today we had mussels that were huge and delicious. The service was pleasant and very friendly. I love the decor in here, especially the painted mural on the wall and the giant lobster at the entrance."
"Soooooo good!! This place has been on my bookmarks for a ridiculously long time, but I'm usually in the area in the mornings while they don't open until 16:00. I was really looking for something different and decided that I'm just going to make a special trip to check out Jude's and enjoy the Japanese garden. If you haven't been in the area, this part of the neighborhood is street parking only. I've had challenges in the morning, but was able to park surprisingly close on this particular evening. I showed up a little bit after opening and there were already several people sitting outside - always a good sign! Inside was clean and had plenty of plants to help liven things up. We were greeted promptly by a lovely gentleman who was super awesome at his job; one of those people that their job really fits their personality and you can feel the passion. There were several beverages that I was interested in, but the special of the day really pulled me in - some sort of blended mango deliciousness with some heat and the alcohol of my choice. I went with rum...just seemed like the right thing to do.For dinner I went in knowing I wanted the mushroom étouffée, which was amazing. I originally wasn't going to get the NOLA fritters because they seemed a bit pricey, but I'm super glad that I did! They were fantastic and I want to figure out how to make them at home...which means I'm going to need to get more for research purposes. As a vegetarian I know that Cajun themed places are usually not very friendly, but Jude's has a lot of vegetarian and vegan options while having classic dishes that you'd expect to find. This place is a bit out of my way, but I'm definitely going to make it work so I can try all the things on the menu."
"I've been missing fried gator for ages, and decided to randomly do a Google search to see if there was any place locally that had it. Lo and behold, there is a place, and by golly gee willikers the mofo is in my backyard! AND ITS GLORIOUS!Went here with a friend (after some convincing and begging) and we sat on the comfy couch for maybe 30 seconds before we were greeted by the loveliest waitress, Jane. It happened to be her first day, but she was so pleasant and eager to tell us how wonderful the food is there (she said it's so good she just had to work there a few days a week) etc. I already knew what I wanted - my long-awaited fried gator, but also I saw pics of the Etouffee on Yelp and thought why not. Oh sweet baby Jesus. Sweet, glorious, tiny, bright shining Jesus. That Etouffee. Dat gator. Kindly please expand your hours Creole Soul - cause I need to expand my waste line!"
"Last meal of our trip was at Crazy Pho Cajun, a family run Vietnamese spot that specializes in Viet-Cajun cuisine. They're located in a plaza next door to ATI Physical Therapy. We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon (2:00pm) with NFL streaming on the TV. The inside has plenty of seating and food comes out quickly. Menu consists of appetizers, pho, banh mi, teriyaki, fried rice, bun, rice plate, cajun and cajun boiled seafood (by the pound).- Herbs - bean sprouts, basil and lime wedges.- Cajun pho (P5) ($14.95 USD) - andouille sausage, crawfish and shrimp. We opted for medium spicyness. Broth had a subtle heat with a touch of sweetness. Mix of meats were tasty.- Gumbo ($13.95 USD) - delicious, comforting stew that wasn't heavy. Wanted more rice but tasty.Wish they had Viet-Cajun options back in Canada."
"Arrived about 7:30PM on a Friday night based on a segment from King 5 evening. The place was full but we got a table because 2 people were just leaving. There was a big group on a huge couch around a large coffee table and a few other groups around high top tables. It definitely had a living room like vibe. As is the case everywhere else, they are looking for staff and the service was friendly but slow. It took a while to place our order but the food came fast but it took a long while to get our check and pay the bill. I had the swamp platter with jalapeño hush puppies. My wife had the same without the fried gator (shrimp, oysters and catfish). Everything was very good but I could have saved $7 and left off the gator. I had not had fried gator before and it tasted just like any other fried fish but it was a bit tough and chewy, like a large piece of calamari or octopus. The shrimp were large and the fried catfish was spicy and perfect. The soul sauce was very good. Other tables had ordered the red beans and rice and that looked delicious. They have an extensive bar but no draft beer. The price of bottled beer and Bogle Chardonnay was reasonable at $7. They served the platters on large plastic plates covered with checkered black and white paper and plastic utensils. The restaurant is small so it can get crowded at times and the table we had was really like a narrow shelf along the front wall, not the most comfortable location. The fried food was very good but not better than another seafood restaurant a few blocks down the street that we have visited many times. We look forward to coming back to try some of the other items that are unique to this restaurant but we think that the competition serves up shrimp, fried fish and oysters that are just as good."
"I love this place ! It's in the gas station but they're really delicious and krispy. I would prefer this than KFC. I was looking for something good and halal, I'm glad they have what I am looking for !"
"Lunch date with my Mr. He heard about this place from his colleagues. We arrived right before the rush seated with smiles. Menu has so a few choices that look yummy. We will be back to try other options. We sat in the bar. Plenty of parking. We were not disappointed with our selections."
"Came here with a party of 6 for some good eats amongst all the other eateries on this strip, this one brings a bit of Louisiana flavor to the PNW.Some of the selections we got were sharable appetizers including the Sausage plate which is advertised as house made. It included - platines & andouille giardiniera with some creole mustard and a baguette. They were well seasoned and presented.Had some of the catfish bites which were a bit too crispy, but tasted good especially with the Alabama sauce it comes with.I had the half-roasted chicken with sweet potato and a delicious sauce which name escapes me. Great presentation and tasted great. I don't believe it is currently available as I write this but would love to try that again. The food and service were great hear and glad the food group chose it. Would love to try another entree here."
