Simple, affordable pupusas in a very small, casual spot. The pupusas taste very similar to the ones I've had in San Salvador. And of course you have to eat it with the pickled vegetables. I usually like the ones filled with cheese, especially when it leaks a bit.

Hidden Alert - nestled in a semi-industrial corridor of Auburn, WA lies a truly delightful family-run Salvadoran and Mexican gem, Pupusería y Restaurante Belén. The hubs was jonesing for street tacos while my palate craved pupusas so this fit our cravings to a capital "T"! Once there we realized that their offerings also included house marinated chicharrón, crispy and juicy in perfect balance alongside yuca frita. My media naranja ordered tacos in pollo, puerco adobado and carne asada topped with a fresh squeeze of lime and homemade salsa roja - I just had to try the taco de lengua and a pupusa de loroco (a pre-colombian cultivar) y queso. Agua fresca "tutti frutti" and Jarritos de Tamarindo were the perfect thirst quenchers for our almuerzo big, barato y bueno.

HIDDEN GEM ALERTWith a serious craving for ethnic food, my friend and I headed to this spot in Auburn. Upon approach to this place, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that the restaurant was located in an industrial area AND we were the only English-speaking customers visiting that day (& the restaurant was packed!). Looks are deceiving, and the workers greeted my friend in Spanish. Having had a 9-day Spanish learning streak on Duolingo, I did my best to order for the both of us. I got 3/4 through before the only señorita that spoke English finished up our order. But hey, I got pretty darn far and we were able to enjoy these:- queso y chicharrón pupusa ($3.80): the cheese was melted to perfection and the pork was juicy/tender.- queso y calabaza pupusa ($3.80): the squash was splendid and the cheese was again, melted to perfection.- lengua taco ($2.75): perfecto!- aguas frescas/horchata ($3.50): creamy with great rice and cinnamon flavor. The next time I'm in Auburn, I wanna come back to try some more dishes. :)

Small hole in the wall place with warm freshly made to order pupusas. They are served with shredded pickled cabbage and red sauce. I wish the sauce was hotter. I also ordered chicken toraditos, which were wrapped with a thin corn tortilla and perfectly crunchy.

Geez, Can I just say best pupusas in town?Good portion size and definitely filling.Owners really nice and informative. Their rice dish with chicken is so good and tender with a pack of flavors. Definitely worth the trip heading down there. The menu can be slightly overwhelming for most who isn't hispanic. The one con I have to say is ordering multiple pupusas they don't separate the different ones so it can get confusing when you order with together.

Options were plentiful and we loved everything we ordered. Our server brought French fries to the youngest member of our party as a surprise. He was delighted.

4 1/2 out of 5. At this later stage of my life, I have discovered I love pupusas. I don't know who to hold responsible for this oversight, but when I identify the culprit, they are off my Christmas card list for life. Oh, sorry. This is a food review, isn't it. This is a small, clean, and busy restaurant with friendly service. Five of us ordered 13 pupusas. They came to the table hot and fresh. All of us were very pleased. I've only been to 4 establishments that serve these babies and all have been good. This one ranks with the best. The sauce and salad (cabbage/vinegar slaw) we topped these gems with were solid additions to the varied flavors. My favorite was the Queso Y Adobada (cheese and adobo pork). Highly recommend!

The pupusas are amazing! You can't go wrong with any of the flavors. They do take a little time to make, but be patient they are worth it. I always get a few different flavors when I go, and if you can't finish them all they warm up nicely! My boyfriend likes their chicken enchiladas as well. So much flavor. You can't go wrong with anything they have! Love thus place, only spot I will get pupusas from!

This is a hole in the wall Salvadoran place. We strolled in an hour before closing on a Sunday and had to wait 5 min for a tableYou will not go wrong with the pupusas. We got the cheese and beans, cheese and Lorenzo, the pollo and the squash. Throw on some side salad and mildly hot sauce for a fresh experienceNot knowing if the pupusas would be enough we also got the camarones Diablo which was fantasticWe always wanted to try the chilaquiles and boy was it good. Overall I was pretty impressed with their food quality and their serviceThey went out of their way to offer us aloo paratha instead of tortillas. The staff seems to be used to large crowds and did a fabulous job of being attentive to our needs. Kudos!

The food and service here are great! Had a variety of Pupusas, three was a bit much for a lunch but they were a great value and I wanted to try them all. Great flavor and so yummy. I can't wait to come back and explore the menu more while supporting a small family establishment.
