Kevin F. "Was pleasantly surprised to find Locust Cider in the outdoor mall In Redmond. Before taking in a movie at the cinema located in the sane outdoor mall, I arrived early enough to check out all the tempting restaurants, bakeries, and the cider house. It made for an easy decision to check out Locust further after the movie. I had Locust's other locations on my radar to visit, but a brewery always seemed to distract me. lol Well, not this time, and I was glad to finally get into a cider house, as there are quite a few in the greater Seattle area ( way too easy to get FOMO here!) lots of cool and colorful locust decorations throughout the indoor part of the cider house, plenty of seating options inside and out, the patio luckily was covered, so even with the intermittent showers, it was comfortable to seat outside, with a really nice surprise of a local musician playing various instruments to a backdrop of recorded music, it made for a very relaxing Friday late afternoon. Getting back to the cider.. the cider tender was very friendly and knowledgeable about the ciders, and it was great to try samples of the very many choices and flavors, blackberry, pear, apple, and peach, just to name a few. The cold brewed coffee cider was definitely a interesting tasting choice, definitely going to explore that one more next time. After much deliberation, I choose the honey pear, which was very pear flavored, delicious, and very sweet. My favorite so far was the juicy peach, reminded me of the fresh picked tree ripened peaches of back home in California, very peachy and delicious, not too sweet, allowing all that delicious peach flavor to come out. Another great thing Locust does is, proceeds from purchases go to fund research for Hydrocephalus, a incurable brain condition, another reason along with their great tasting ciders to support them. They have to go options as well as a few draft beer options if you prefer beer, one of which is their own. They also have wine and soda choices. Looking forward to returning to enjoy more tasty ciders and the patio seating. Happy Yelping! God bless and Cheers!"

It's a very small bar, with parking on the street, and can hold maybe 35-40 people comfortably. However, I've heard it's one of the hot spots to watch Sounders game, so I assume on game days, that place gets packed!I'm not a huge beer drinker, but all their beers from breweries local to Seattle or the PNW. The beer I DID try was the wanderlust (an IPA) which was crisp and delicious. Not too heavy like a lot of beer can be. Food is pretty good here: we ordered a pretzel that came with two mustards and also one of their flatbreads that had some pesto, sundried tomato, pepperoncinis and cheese. Both were delicious and paired with the beer well.Would highly recommend this spot for watching Sounders games, or just coming in for a quick beer or wine!!"

I got the sweet cheeks, bacon, egg, cheese, some maple syrup on that bottom bun, a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar on top...so good. I paid extra to have caramelized onions, not worth it since it was the smallest portion ever. The sandwich was everything I wanted, salty, savory, sweet. So good. My friend got the brunch burger and liked it, said it was good. We opted not to get fries. After tax and tip, it was $32 bucks. We were there during their busy happy hour time, but our server was so prompt and patient with us too (since we couldn't decide what to order). Drinks came out a little slower than I would have liked, but I think it was because they were busy. Tom B. "This is not the tony upmarket beer spot. This is the spot where you can hang out and be goofy and drink great beer. It's a bit of a neighborhood hang maybe even more than it is a craft beer mecca, though all the pieces are here to make it fully solid as a craft beer spot. It's just that the vibe of regulars trumps the beer nerd vibe. It's great that beer bars are now starting to morph into other places rather than all trying to project that same tight focus on only the beer--since bars always develop their own personality over time, anyway. It's on LCW, which means parking is a bit of a hassle, but it also means there are quite a few decent places to eat around here lately. That combines well with a night of drinking. There's even a great big brewery across the street that's pulling in bumper crops of hungry local families. TBA seems to pick up everybody who's not clamoring for the family vibe across the way. There's a patio outside where you can sit and relax, and there are plenty of booths and stools inside. There are coolers, and there's a great tap lineup with about a dozen faucets, maybe more. The staff hustles and bustles, and they have a lot going on besides just the beer. There's trivia, foosball, all kinds of stuff happening that not too many other beer bars offer, but feels very familiar in a neighborhood corner spot. It's a great hybrid."

A basic looking bar with divey dimness but kind of outdoorsy style with wood decor and taxidermy. Most of my visits have been just for drinks while playing, but I had the spicy chicken sandwich. Not bad. The cut, slaw and spice were all there. The fries were really good. Just the right amount of crisp and saltiness. This along with burgers and chicken fingers are pretty much the make up in the way of food here. The beer options are alright, kind of the basics for the area which is ok, help it stay different from the breweries aroundThe barstaff/waitstaff seem to be about the same every visit and they're pretty cool. The bouncer dude seems to take his job a little too seriously at times, but the benefit of the doubt comes in since this seems like Kings biggest demographic is 20 somethings so he's extra all over that. Tom B. "This place is new, and Snohomish is pretty far off the beaten path--but don't let that make you suspicious that it might be anything other than a sophisticated beer bar. They have plenty of taps, with a heavy emphasis on Northwest stuff. There's plenty of elbow room, and it's an easy place to relax and have a glass or two. There are 6 doors of coolers along one wall--just enough bottles to give you some extra choice for a take-home beer, or to mix it up if there's nothing on tap that tickles your fancy. It seemed like most of the bottles were IPAs, at least at a glance. All good stuff, all stuff that's well-chosen to sell so stock stays fresh. The taps include quite a bit more variety, and they offer proper glassware. We tried a bunch of different belgians and sours and fruit beers and hoppy stuff over the course of an hour or two, and didn't even get through the whole lineup by any means. There's a shuffleboard table in the next room, and huge flatscreens tuned to the game. The bathrooms are pretty much sparkling clean from what I could see. There's a bouncer who checks IDs soon after you walk in, since Coindexter's only allows those 21+, indicating a play place just for adults. Yes! Plenty of seating is located off to the side, across the bar where you order drinks and food and for food, it's delivered to your table once it's ready. Oh, and although the menu is straightforward, with grilled cheese sandwiches, there are TOTS! But the real winner here are the games! There are classic games, like Pac-Man and Mario Kart and pinball machines in the back room. Most of the games I saw were a quarter to play a round, and they do have a coin machine, just in case! AND, since we're drinking while playing games, there are cupholders at the games, that so comfortably accommodates your pint of draft beer. Yeah, dawg, they thought of everything! For a break from all the games though, you can watch the old school shows they play in the background and during my visit it was MTV's Daria! Freakin' awesome! Staff is super friendly and people are chill here. It wasn't too packed on a Saturday night and we never had to wait to play certain games and such. When I went to the restroom I saw a sign, lending help for those on a bad Tinder date, with instructions to order a certain drink, which indicates to staff whether you need them to walk you to your car, call the police, etc... Seriously, this place thought of everything. Not only does Coindexter's cater to adults who never really grew up (me) with tots and classic games, they have your back in case you're on a sketchy date. Coindexter's is where it's at!"

The birth is light but extremely flavorful. The sweet potato noodles are the perfect texture, never overcooked with that nice soft chew and perfect for slurping. The beef rib is tender and full of flavor, just like broth. Pro tip, when you're done with the noodles add some rice to your broth. The chicken wings are always delicious. Crispy on the outside and juicy In the outside. The batter in the chicken is not too heavy either. The wings are big too. Plenty of meat on these wings. We did get a small side of banchan with the wings consisting of fermented kimchi, cucumber and fish cakes. The reason for the lack of stars is because on our last visit, we walked in at opening and almost all the tables had remnants of guests being there. Mostly eaten food, empty glasses and lots of dishes on the tables. Halfway through our meal, it clicked in our heads that it was all leftover from closing. So instead of cleaning at the end of their late service, it was left to be cleaned the next day. Our server was attentive to us & we did order from a QFC menu and he did take our payment at the table. So definitely no qualms about the service for us while we were there. Would I come back? Good autumn beers for sure!We also split an oyster po' boy sandwich and a goat cheese salad. They even split them for us, at no extra charge, which was super sweet. Über Tavern

Über Tavern

Tom B. "Hard to believe it's been more than half a decade since this place opened. They've used their time wisely, without a doubt. When they began, they were a wonderfully weird little enclave of beeriness along this tawdry strip of Aurora. After years of perfecting their craft, cultivating a clientele both locally and far beyond the city limits, investing their profits carefully, and stockpiling an OCD-esque retinue of fermented delights to serve not before their time, Über is now...a wonderfully weird little enclave of beeriness along this tawdry strip of Aurora. They've added to it, certainly, though the footprint inside is still the same. They added the little sidewalk courtyard a couple years ago, and added the planter boxes around the same time. After some unsolicited overnight editorializing from the local Crackhead Gardeners Club, the ambitions of those planter boxes have been scaled back rather markedly, but the pleasant al fresco seating option remains--covered and railed in. Inside, what used to feel like a kooky house party with a fire table in the middle and big bottle coolers behind the bar now feels like a stylishly kooky house party with a fire table in the middle and big bottle coolers behind the bar. The refined blue on the walls now suggests a tony library at a gentleman's club, so be a gentleman, for heaven's sake. The multi-ton zebrawood beast of a bar suggests locales even more exotic than Aurora ("Where is that wood grown?" "Africa." "Noooo...*zebras* are from Africa. Where is zebra*wood* from?" "Under the ze..." Never mind.). The walnut ceiling-support beam suggests...that spending a butt-ton of extra money on fine hardwoods is worth it sometimes.Gone are the colossal tap towers that used to protect the bartenders from: archers, trebuchets, and being able to see customers. Well, the Delirium Tremens tower is still there, over the inlaid Scrabble board, but every bar needs a pink elephant on the corner. In addition to Scrabble, you can also play Backgammon under a heavy layer of resin, if you get the right seats. But what matters most here is the beer. And this beer selection is truly a matter of great import. Hundreds of bottles line the cooler racks, with a fair emphasis on rare and small batch big American beers and a freighter full of bigger (i.e., more alcoholic) European stuff, both classics and newer releases. There are also tap handles, now bundled together in a phalanx of malty infantry on the back wall, which boasts a luminous interweave of glass subway tiles. Such design flair! ("Yeah, I have the gay gene when it comes to decorating." You just can't make this stuff up. You can only catch people when they're loaded and write it down for blackmailing them later.) What's particularly cool about the tap lineup is the new War-Games-like array of monitors above the coolers, listing all kegs in the order they were tapped, along with the next three on deck. No more scrambling for a little green book, and wondering if you should hurry up and order a given beer in case it might kick before you get to it.The staff here has been wise and powerful since day one. This shows no signs of abating. I often hate coming in here when it's busy simply because it means less chance to shoot the breeze with them. Or throw a Frisbee. What no one bar can change, though, is the local color on display outside, along Aurora Avenue North. More than once as I have sipped a tasty beverage here, young ladies have walked back and forth and back and forth past the windows of the establishment. I figured they must have been running errands, or moving, or something, but they were never carrying anything, so it's hard to be certain. That motorized pageant of humanity, the Metro #358, stops right outside the sidewalk patio here. When a 60-foot limo rolls up, it can easily block every window in the place, making you feel like you're in a dark little cave (well, you are, not even figuratively speaking). When that 358 shadow settles over the room, what you are is an easily-distracted baby seal that just noticed the great white swimming over you and blocking out all your light. Those squealy bus brakes are the hoots of an owl in the dreams of a mouse. Über is one of the oases in a stretch of road that Seattle forgot. (Not on accident did Seattle forget this scrofulous motorway, either.) There's a bit of character lately to some businesses around here, and there's even a high-end spot across the street (PCC). You can bring in your own food from anywhere, though PCC and Beth's are natural choices, and Aloha Ramen is a personal favorite. There's a book behind the bar somewhere, full of take-out menus. Just ask for it. Every industry needs places that push to offer the best of everything. Über has very few equals, and no superiors, especially when you count the square footage. You can get lost here. Probably you should. The 358 can always take you...elsewhe"
