Seattle Deli

Wow, i did not think I would find a Vietnamese sandwich place that would rival Saigon deli in Seattle!The banh mi thit nuong is loaded ... there is serious weight to it!The breading was perfection... toasted and does not have that old bread in the fridge toasted taste. The veggies were fresh and bountiful.The pork were good but no grill marksI feel like the Mayo they use is lighter compared to Saigon deli.All in all, their banh mi thit nuong is well put together that strive in all the ingredients.Now the cold cut sandwich, I felt the pate was falling short in deep flavor compared to the one at Saigon deli.It is super hard to decide who will come out on top, will have to do a side by side comparison but Seattle deli Defin dominated the viet sandwiches up north while Saigon deli takes the lead in downtown seattle.Service was friendly and quick, I came before they open and they still made my sandwiches! Prolly standard for a Vietnamese joint.Ambiance, it is a small quaint clean deli that focus on a few items.

Banh mi are $7 each here and quite tasty! It's a great spot to pick up something quick and convenient. I like the grilled pork and the special with the different types of pork. Call ahead to place larger orders.

Wonderful BBQ Pork Banh Mi and tasty Banh Bot Loc (clear shrimp and pork dumplings) .Tried this after seeing good reviews here and it did not disappoint, We were welcomed and when we walked in and asked about a few hot items. The BBQ Pork banh mi was recommended a lot so we tried that. Big chunks of pork and the bread had a good crunch. Even half a sandwich was filling so we had leftovers today. Saw Banh Bot Loc (clear tapioca dumplings with ground shrimp, pork and green onions), served with fish oil) and tried that. Interesting taste, very chewy - think summer roll wrapper but pressed in a dumpling shape. Would definitely get both the banh mi and the dumplings again. They also had spring rolls and some savory pastries available plus other types of banh mi and a variety of snacks. Parking was easy though I'm sure it could get crowded during weekends. Across from the Ranch 99 Plaza on Aurora/Rte 99. Would go back!

Place is clean. Everytime I go I seem to always be greeted by the owner. Very nice, accommodating, friendly, patient. My order always comes out exactly as I've ordered. Very organized too. One of my favorite place. Cheaper than Yeh Yeh's. So drive a little south and you'll see it :)

The best banh mi in town, hands down. The egg rolls are bomb and the prices are just unbeatable for the quality of the food. Love coming here for a quick lunch without breaking the bank. And I'm definitely going to cater egg rolls in the future!

We liked the banh mi a lot. We got 2 dac biet. It was very good, but no headcheese in it which was a little disappointing. It was still enjoyable nonetheless. We also tried their banh cuon which was good, but the rice roll was just too thick. The filling was good, but just wish the roll was thinner since it would easier to eat. I would recommend this spot as its probably the closest to a really good banh mi you're going to get in the area.

My family has been coming to this place for the Signature BBQ Pork sandwich for many years. This place is take-out only, no eating-in. They also carry many other varieties of snacks and food. We came here again on a Tuesday. The staff was friendly as usual, and the space was clean. The only downside is that it is cash only.Parking is easy as there is a parking lot.

Did a huge bulk order for a party and everything was a HIT!Highly recommend for parties... everything was delicious. Friendly and professional service.Best egg rolls in the Seattle area.

Stopping by Seattle Deli this morning, Wednesday 17 May 2023, around 8:40 a.m., I saw the posting on one of the doors as I entered showing four different Bahn Mi options. The signature BBQ pork one looked good, so I made my way inside and placed my order. There were two workers behind the counter in the front of the deli, the one who took my order and one who made the sandwich. Both were friendly. The price was $7.00, I paid cash. Other items were on sale by the cash register area as well, though I stuck with just the Bahn Mi.After getting my food I made my way to my car to eat it before heading south to Ballard to get some items as a way of observing Norwegian Constitution Day. The bread of the sandwich was crispy and tore well when bitten into. A hearty amount of the signature BBQ pork was well distributed in the sandwich, so there were not really bites without meat. The meat chunks were a good size and I loved the flavor of the pork. The vegetables were fresh, crunchy, colorful, and flavorful. Sauce lightly coating some of the vegetables and spread on the inside of the bread was enough for its taste to shine without contributing too much of a creamy texture. All around pleased with my first Bahn Mi experience.
