Scoops La Jolla

I heard about this new ice cream place in La Jolla from Instagram. The colors looked stunning especially since we are so close to the ocean. I thought it was bold to have an ice cream place directly facing Bobboi's Natural Gelato. Since it was our first time at Scoops-- I wish they had walked us through about what they had and what they were known for! There is a good amount of seating inside and outside as well. The place is nicely ventilated and has good airflow. The ice cream is in metal containers so you can't see it. They have a menu board with classic flavors and vegan flavors and more. The vegan flavors seemed to be more adventurous than the non vegan. I tasted: - The passionfruit which didn't have any passionfruit notes to it at all. It was a light green color. This is not the color of passion fruit juices at all. It was super icy with no flavor. - honeycomb is pure sweetness. We went with the mango sorbet which tasted ok for what it was. It was icy as well, but not as much as the passionfruit. It didn't have an intense mango flavor but it reminded us of the stringy mango. There's def better mango sorbets out there. My mom ordered a split cup of the Sicilian pistachio and cafe latte swirl these are both gluten free flavors. They had light flavors, but both delicious since it wasn't overly sweet. This spot would be great for kids! The workers were nice to let us try a few flavors. It's nice and clean in here too.

We loved this place! They looked to have just opened at this location, in the heart of La Jolla. Ice creams are clearly marked with allergens (gluten free/vegan). Walking in its is bright, airy and fresh, the staff was helpful and let me try one of the ice creams before I chose my flavor. I went with the honeycomb and early gray, a small double scoop. I would have gone full on honeycomb, the earl gray was good but the honeycomb was amazing, not like any ice cream I have tasted before. I had 4 others in the group, all bought different flavors and all loved their ice cream. We arrived about 8PM or so and the line was almost to the door very quickly. It looked like they open early for coffee/matcha type items. Must go if you are in town! Avoid the chain ice cream places.

New ice cream, creperie and much more with a view. Very good ice cream, perfect location, great service offering all the samples you want. This is a great add to downtown La Jolla!

Their crepes was absolutely great.And they serve BirdRock Coffee which I discovered to be fantastic too. Friendly staff.

Loved the view of the ocean from here. Grabbed ice cream here after my husband and I got dinner. Cute ice cream shop with a variety of nondairy dairy options! The crepes were to die for! Really friendly staff that let me try as many samples as I wanted. My husband got their milkshake and he really liked it! Will definitely be coming back here!

I have been walking through Downtown La Jolla for years every weekend. I finally walked past this new shop and I LOVE IT! It reminds me of getting ice cream when I was a kid. The staff is so welcoming and pleasant. The ice cream was AMAZING. They also have CREPES!! Like what?!? 13/10 would recommend!

Best ice cream in San Diego! The PB honeycomb is a must! Service was fantastic, friendly, and attentive. Great atmosphere for a post date night dessert.

I came here on opening night and the line was long, but it was more than worth the wait! They had multiple vegan and regular flavors that I had never seen before (PB honeycomb, cookies & cream caramel swirl, Marion berry, etc) and each of them was absolutely delicious!After debating and trying multiple samples, I ended up getting a two scoop cup and then went outside to their beautiful patio which has an amazing view of the palm trees and beach down at La Jolla Cove. If you are visiting La Jolla this summer I can't recommend Scoops enough!!

Anytime we are craving ice cream or a crepe, this is the place to go! They have pretty good open hours and if you can get the homemade whipped cream with the crepe it makes it even better! One of the best parts of my trip! They even have vegan ice cream that is even better than the regular ice cream!!!

I love Scoops, so when I heard they were opening a new shop in the Cove I had to swing by! This new one has all the charm and more. The staff is super friendly and helped me narrow down on the ice cream I wanted. I chose the strawberry lemonade sorbet which is the perfect balance of not too sweet or too tart!
