Middle eastern tapas presented beautifully and nice ambiance. Definitely recommend making reservations because they are always super busy. They do take walk ins for the bar and table seating but expect a wait. I've been here multiple times and the food is always super tasty and delicious. It is a bit pricey but very much worth the complex flavors.

Located in Cambridge so it's a quick ride from Burlington or Boston. The restaurant itself was super busy for a Tuesday night but we were able to get seated at the bar. The tables are all reservation but they keep some high tables open for walk ins. The bar is first come first serve. It is very busy inside and loud. You get to watch the chef if you sit at the bar which is cool.Service is quick and friendly here. The server was helpful and friendly. The menu is middle eastern tapas style. We ordered a few dishes and they were all great!Avocado Muhummara with warm gyro bread - the bread was nicely seasoned with Lebanese za'atar. We used it to dip in the avocado Muhummara which is basically an avocado hummus. Perfectly seasoned dip! I loved the addition of pistachio for texture. Black Sea cornbread - this was interesting. It wasn't bad but just different. The texture was kind of mushy. The feta cheese definitely added a salty flavor. Very decadent for sure. Sugar snaps - this was refreshing. The sugar snaps were crispy and the addition of fried quinoa added a good crunch!Zucchini fritters - this was ok. The frittered were kind of soggy inside. Nothing special about it. Brussels sprouts bravas - good and nicely seasoned. I loved the aioli. The sprouts were perfectly crispy.Frozen yogurt with havla caramel - the addition of sea salt and olive oil to the froyo was good but the additional addition of caramel was amazing! Perfect way to end the meal.

Overall, all the food was delicious. Sarma does a good job of marrying different flavors offering unique flavor palates. Our server was also super sweet and affable, easily making small talk and showing interest in our experience. Some noteworthy food mentions:The first bite of the Black Sea Corn Bread was divine. It was warm, soft and juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and a blast of flavor. The creaminess of the feta paired perfectly with the heat of the hot peppers which was enhanced by the sweetness of honey, all held together by the thick cornbread mixture. The mixture of flavors in my mouth was divine. We got this to share, but I definitely could have eaten one whole order by myself. The Haloumi Saganaki was another unique combination of flavors: the sweetness of figs + acidity of tomatoes + sturdiness of the Haloumi + freshness of herbs was amazing. The (off-the-menu) fried chicken was perfectly crispy and fatty and juicy, but paired with the yogurt sauce, perfection in my mouth. Lastly, the unexpected jewel of the night was the rainbow carrots. The balance they served to the meal was comparable to the way fries add to a burger. Quite necessary and a game changer. Overall, everything was good and I had a great night with my girls in this super cool, vibey restaurant.

I have never felt so strongly about a review before. Sarma is 10/10 the BEST restaurant in Boston, and deserves all of the praise it gets.Every single dish we had here was out of this world. We had the warm gyro bread, Black Sea cornbread, lamb loin chops, fried chicken, the merguez manti, and lamb kofte sliders. Every single dish was a "wow" moment. The service and atmosphere are all incredible. Like I said, I can't speak highly enough about this place. Highly recommend :)

My wife and I wanted to try this for our anniversary. Par for the course, it was a last minute decision with no reservation. For those who know Sarma, it is always a very popular place that books out weeks in advance. Thankfully though the friendly staff were able to take our name for walk ins and we got bar seating after waiting for one drinks worth. For the also poor planners out there, if you are risking it without reservation I would recommend going early or late. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Several worked together between bar tender, waiter and busser to answer various questions we had with the menu and guaranteed a pleasant evening. Finally the food. Let me start with saying the hype is worth it. Each dish we had was unique in flavor and a party on our taste buds. There is an element of spice with many dishes to be aware when ordering there may be a kick when eating.

Apparently one of the best Turkish restaurant in town. The corn bread is very unique and filling - consider it a must get. The fried chicken is off the menu / more dim sum style - it's good but not as mind blowing as I had expected. The olive oil frozen yogurt SO good - cleanses your palette after a heavy meal.

Thank you Sarma for giving me a favorite restaurant in Boston! They're rated by several sources as one of Boston's top restaurants, for good reason. Reservations are difficult to come by but they seem to have a decent amount of seating by the bar.Dishes are not delicious and made with high quality ingredients, they're also beautifully presented and very creative with the flavors. My favorites were the cornbread (very filling, loved the peppers and feta inside) and duck (super juicy and flavorful); would 100% order again. Fried chicken (off-menu; from what I can tell, it comes out about every hour, starting roughly at 5:30) was very solid. I greatly enjoyed the Brussels sprouts, which also were super flavorful (loved that garlic aioli on the bottom). For dessert we had the "baklava cones", which was a light, refreshing way to end the meal.

Getting reservations on a weekend is near impossible! But somehow my fiancé was able to secure a time on a Saturday evening for dinner. We were so excited because this place has so much hype! In the reminder text they send, they mentioned that parking can be a little difficult so to get there early. We were able to find a spot up the street thankfully. The vibe of the place is really trendy and kind of a typical style to some of the other Mediterranean restaurants around Boston that are similar to Sarma. We were seated right away and ordered a few dishes to start. The first were the gyro bread and seven layer hummus. These were some of our favorites and came out so fast! The bread came out within minutes of ordering which was interesting. But we were hungry so I don't think too much about it. The hummus had so many elements to it and was really delicious. As with most dips, I just wish there was more bread given to eat the hummus with, but we were able to use the gyro bread and then took the rest home. The other dishes we ordered were the Persian beef brik, the brussel sprout bravas, and the pork souvlaki. My favorite of these were the brussel sprouts. SO delicious with everything on top of them~ and had such a great flavor!! The pork souvlaki was probably my next favorite~ it had a nice grilled taste and the toppings on top were good. Wasn't sure if the inside was a little too dry for me though... this dish definitely filled me up however. Our least favorite was the beef brik. It was just okay. Drinks were delicious, I got the 'Keeping My Groove' which was nice and sweet. My fiancé tried a different beer he hadn't had and really enjoyed it~ I took a sip as well and loved how light and refreshing it was, especially for summer.Overall we enjoyed our experience. Compared to some of the other Mediterranean restaurants in the area that are very similar however, personally I would probably prefer to go to one of those. But I'm glad we were able to try this and I would still give it another chance!
