Santanas is a solid 24 hour taco shop with daily specials and menudo on the weekends. When I am pressed for time. I occasionally go through the drive thru for anything from rolled tacos to a carne asada burrito. The prices are fairly moderate and the quality is good. The service is also good. It's a no frills dining experience. Support local businesses especially the good ones. Santanas is one of the good ones. Eat here.

Inflation is outrageous!!!The food is still tasty and service is quick and very friendly. As long as quality of food and efficient service is still happening then we'll continue to be customers in the neighborhood.

Came back 5 years later,It's still shit. Go anywhere else instead. Or just order soggy French fry burrito because that's what you will get when you order a breakfast burrito anyway.

This place is under new management and it shows. The workers are friendly and the food is amazing. You get what you pay for in portions. I would probably say best taco shop this side of spring valley. I use to say Saritas was the best, but Santanas takes the cake now.

Last time for me.... There are plenty of better places in the area, but for the convenience of the drive thru we went to get a burrito.... And while it was decent... I'm pretty sure we were over charged for the guacamole and sour cream... Try La Baja Mexican up the street.. that place is 5 star for food and service! This place... Not so much...

Love the menudo at the location in lemon grove. A bit of a wait but worth it. My husband got the carne asada fries and it was delicious.

Blandest Mexican food I've ever had, absolutely flavorless. I will never go here again. The guacamole doesn't event taste like avocado. The salsa is terrible, no flavor, no seasoning on anything, not even salt on the chips, spent over $10 and threw it out. I will NEVER go here again. Mexican food should be well-seasoned and flavorful not bland and awful.

I've hated on this place long enough. If you take into consideration value and portion size I definitely think this spot is worth the time. Portions are a bit smaller than Sarita's but some items are definitely worth your time. The $2.30 taco Tuesday deal is pretty good. Tons of flavor on carnitas and carne asada. Monday $2.80 fish taco is a great deal as well. Good rolled tacos and 9/10 Horchata. There is a 3.5% service charge for debit or credit card but outside of that I would slide on by

We ordered the queso mush carne quesadilla and it was money. Also, a carne asada burrito w guac, sour cream and cheese and it was huge. Delicious. We dined in and had the jalapeños, onions, carrots and green salsa. Definitely coming back.

I have debated leaving this review for a few years now.. I have been coming to Santanas for 20 years. The La Paz burrito used to be one of the best burritos in San Diego. Everyone I e met who has tried it agrees. However, most of the time the chefs don't remember to put the crema in. Which sounds like something minor. But the crema in this burrito is truly the difference between an average burrito, and one of the best burritos you'll ever have. 5 years ago, it was only every once and a while they'd forget to put the crema in... Now, it feels like they never remember. At this point, I'm sick of being disappointed every time I bite into my burrito. I'm going to start trying other taco shops on Campo and see if any of them have a surf and turf burrito that can hold a handle to what the La Paz burrito used to be.
