This place is really good and an excellent value. The salsa is fresh and house made. Salsa and chips included excellent margaritas and shredded beef quesadillas. Great, friendly service. Totally cracked me up, beautiful day and not one table seated outside. Too hot for Washingtonians. Check it out!

Big portions, great service and delicious drinks. I always get the Mar Y Tiera here. It's the best of both worlds, you get shrimp & steak. Meats always cooked perfectly. BUT my weakness is the tamarind margarita with a tajin rim!! It's just the right amount of tangy & sweet. Highly recommend. Ceviche here is also pretty good.

Very solid Mexican food! We were recommended this spot by a friend who lives in the area and it did not disappoint! Inside was clean and comfortable. Service was prompt and food was out quick. The carne asada definitely deserves the hype and was absolutely delicious. A couple nitpicky notes-the guac portion that came with my carne asada was very small- I had thought it was missed and it was pretty brown on the plate. Also was not a huge fan of the chips and tortillas that came with the meal. Overall was very happy with our experience at the Santa Fe Grill.

I'm in love. I'm not sure what took me so long to come here after the restaurants reopened. I ordered from here via Uber Eats and it is a different experience dining in. One day we decided to go for lunch and then a week later we decided to go for dinner. It is just that good. Both times I ordered the enchiladas de Cameron which is a shrimp enchilada. I don't see that in many Mexican restaurants around this area and I love it. There's so many shrimp every bite has shrimp! The tomato, the sour cream, and the cheese are perfect - not too much and it balances the green sauce so nicely. It often leaves me very full, so full I can't finish the rice and beans. It is very good! Our waiter both times has been the same nice young man who is quiet but super efficient. He checked on us regularly, made sure drinks kept coming, and gave great recommendations. The first time we had the house margarita and that was great - huge portions! But after drinking the Santa Fe margarita I am not sure if I can try another. The Santa Fe margarita came in a shaker and was served in a metal martini glass. It wasn't as sweet as the house margarita which honestly was perfect. I can't drink sweet drinks as easily as I used to. Tho it has a higher price point the shaker holds a lot of alcohol. I think I drank three drinks before I was out. What really struck me was how the flavor held - I didn't drink with wild abandon so despite the ice melting in the shaker the drink never became watered down tasting. It was delicious to the last drop! I am thrilled to have finally made it here and will look forward to returning!

Fantastic! My wife and I were blown away by the food here. We tried the queso with chorizo which was superb. I had a chicken breast chimichanga and the gaucamole. She had the enchiladas. Few times I'm left just dazzled by a restaurant and this was one of those times.Definitely a new favorite place to eat.

Decided to try this place out instead of my usual, Brick Lounge. And it's going to be a no for me. This restaurant is nicely decorated and somewhat clean. They also provide a pretty good sized parking lot and aesthetically pleasing patio. Our first time here was nothing to rave about. The food is A-Ok and for the price, it's slightly high compared to other restaurants of the same quality. I had the margarita which the server pushed as their most popular. It had so much ice in the glass and inside the shaker. Almost no taste of the alcohol but can very much taste the overly sweet and bitterness of the syrup. My boyfriend ordered his usual which is a Paloma and it came tasting like grapefruit juice and an odd taste on the back. Nothing close to what a paloma usually is. As we told our server that we would like to send it back, he had asked my boyfriend in a condescending tone if he had ever had a paloma and if he knew what it should taste like. That was the vibe of the server the whole night. Entitled and very judging. As for the food, nothing to rave about. The food took awhile to come out and came room temperature to almost cold. I had the enchilada and tostada combo. Rice has the color but lacks the flavor. The great thing about tonight was the complimentary chips and salsa. Salsa was slightly chunky and spicy. We also ordered the carne asada plate and the steak was nicely hot on a sizzling plate and had a nice sear. It was overcooked but at least tasted great. Got the "fried ice cream" as a dessert. I'm learning that a fried ice cream at mexican restaurants here in Washington just means a frozen vanilla ball coated with crushed frosted flakes. I don't know about you, but that's disappointing as hell for those who's enjoyed an actual fried ice cream before. It came out cold, not fried lol and at this point, didn't want to deal with the server's attitude anymore so we just paid and left without bringing it up.

Got the Pollo En Chipotle. It has really good flavor and the chicken was juicy. Reminds me on Butter Chicken. Got the mangonada margarita blended which was good as well.

The food is lousy. I asked if they could make me a deep fired taco with chicken. The waitress didn't understand what I wanted. The manager came over and asked what I wanted so I told him. He said sure no problem. Me thinking great, I'm going get what I asked for. What I got were three tacos with shells from Taco Bell. Very disappointing. I should've stood home and made them myself. The only reason why I gave it one star is because I couldn't post it without a star.

A friend had raved about Santa Fe, I was in the area, so I thought I'd give it a try.The parking lot was packed! First good sign! As soon as one car pulled out another was pulling in.Lots of covered outdoor seating! I can't wait to get back as the weather gets warmer. The salsa is so good! Nice kick, deep, and smokey. Think salsa meets rich enchilada sauce, in all of the best ways! I was so hungry I polished off the first basket of chips in no time! The Tacos Carbon (with steak), rice & beans! Listen...im still dreaming about this Meal! The steak is marinated with love, sliced thin & piled high! I could only finish two of the three. Then, the rice & beans polished off! I went looking under the taco riser to make sure I got every bit! ( I'm so grateful everything wasn't covered in piles of cheese! )This meal cost a little more than expected, but worth every penny! The staff were great. It feels like a family owned business producing excellent food with lots of care.So glad my friend shared this incredible gem!I'll be back soon!

I recently visited after a long day at work, making a 15 mile journey to savor some well-deserved cuisine. Opting for the fish and Santa Fe shrimp, I was met with a delightful burst of flavor in every bite. The service, spearheaded by our attentive server, Angle, was nothing short of exceptional. Not only was the food quick to arrive, but the entire establishment exuded cleanliness and professionalism. If ever in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to return for another round of delectable dishes and stellar service.
