The Santa Fe Mexican Grill opened in our neighborhood after a major renovation and the space is gorgeous. The staff were lovely and very friendly. Our server Carlos was quick with the service and margaritas. My Skinny Margarita was great! Read below for a great tip! Chips are fresh from the fryer and the salsa was great. Our side order of Guacamole was huge and the avocados were big, chunky and luscious.Hubby had the carne asada burrito and I had the Camarones mojo. Unfortunately, I can never seem to remember to take my photos until half way through the entree. Sorry about that. Both dishes were great, and portions were so plentiful we both took leftovers home. Carlos, the food, price and atmosphere ensure we'll be back.BTW--Tuesdays are half off premium tequilas--a good deal, and Carlos says the list of premium tequilas is on the website. With a large bar and big flat screen with sports on, that's a great night out with friends for some future Tuesday!

This place is the best Mexican food Resturant in town. The food is authentic and so is the service. The staff makes you feel like family. That welcome each and every customer with open arms. The drinks are also great. We come here at least twice a week. Please come see for yourself. I promise you will love them as much as we do.

Santa Fe Mexican Grill & Cantinas are hands down the best Mexican restaurants in the Seattle area!! We usually go to the Edmonds location but then this place opened up and we live right up the street, so it was the best of both worlds!!! We visited on one of their first opening days and while it was good, it still had room for improvements (just as most places do when they first open a new location). But that didn't phase us and we have been back many times since and they are now just as good as their Edmonds location! I usually get the shrimp fajitas because that's my favorite (and the shirmp are huge!) but i recently branched out and ordered the Fajitas Rancheras and it did not disappoint! The portions are huge so we had tons of leftovers! My mom loves the Burrito Santa Fe with shredded beef (it's so good) and she always has leftover for a few days! Their chips and guacamole are amazing! And the ceviche, fresh tortillas and their Margaritas are great too!! Great service and warm atmosphere! I highly recommend coming and trying it for yourself!!

I miss the old tortilla station at the entrance when this used to be Luisa's. At least Santa Fe keeps serving chips and salsa (not too spicy), which I enjoyed like I typically do at family Mexican restaurants. The staff came by at all the right moments without stopping by too much or too little. When looking at the prices on the menu, it's kind of shocking ($20+ per dish), but the meals do come on huge platters and/or plates. I saw lots of tables left almost half of their meals or had to pack them home. I feel like they should have different sizes of each dish then if they want to continue serving such big plates because I worry about food waste. The rice and beans with each meal seemed to be slightly more elevated than a typical family Mexican restaurant would serve. The thing that confused me was all the different enchiladas on the menu because there were no pictures to tell sizes - only text with ingredients. I ordered the Enchiladas Rancheras because the dish comes with 3 enchiladas. However, the 3 enchiladas combined actually ended up looking the same size as the 2 enchiladas from the combination, even though the combination is cheaper. I've never seen such thin enchiladas before (Enchiladas Rancheras dish). There was some guacamole included, though. The 3 enchiladas were more like the size of flautas or taquitos and buried under the veggies. It's nice that they had some crispiness to them, instead of being soggy, since I've never had a crispy enchilada before. I would probably try other enchiladas in the future and avoid getting the 3 enchiladas, especially if they're going to be equal in size with the 2 enchiladas and cost more (even though there's slightly more meat and veggies). One of the good things about ordering the enchiladas was that they let us pick how many of each meat we wanted. My husband also said the cadillac margarita was weak and just tasted like the mix, so avoid that if you're looking for something stronger (unless you have an in with the bartender)!

Great 1st visit to Santa Fe, very impressed-good warm chips and great salsa. Carne Asada was crazy good ! Nice friendly service from our waiter, don't remember his name but he was great. The menu is rather typical but a notch up from other Mexican restaurants, all aspects were a better experience. We've since been back for their lunch menu. It's our new option for Mexican food

To start with the service is more than excellent! The staff is so nice and makes sure you have everything you need to satisfy your meal. I've been here a few times and they always greeted me with a smile every time. The food was really flavorful and delicious! I got the Taco Al Pastor and the pineapple added a nice flavor to the tacos. On the menu I thought it was gonna be 3 small street tacos, but NO. The portions are huge! A little bit pricey but worth it. The decor was bright and welcoming while keeping the ambiance authentic. I would definitely recommend and come back!

I had the pollo ala crema, of the lunch menu. Daughter had burrito. The food was quite good. The only things not that great was the wait time for everything from the food, to the bill, to the to-go box, etc. Also, I think it is WAY over priced for Greenwood location.

What a nice and very welcomed Mexican restaurant new to the Ballard area! We had the carne asada fajitas and the chili Colorado burrito. Both were served fast, hot and tasted yummy. So much food that we brought home leftovers for tomorrow's lunch or dinner. Service was excellent, friendly and courteous. Homemade corn tortilla's were a plus along with warm chips and good tasting salsa. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends and family. We will most definitely return! Muy buena, excelente!!

I will start by saying I used to love the Santa Fe. But once again the prices have gone up and I'm priced out. I feel you should be able to get a burrito for under $23 (that's the cheapest and vegetarian only). And my favorite Fajita Burrito is no longer on the menu. I opted for the Shrimp Enchilada. Minimal shrimp, two only. My husband got the Chicken Enchilada. Very dry. But at least he had 3 with the meal. I do understand prices and wages go up, but I have several restaurants near by I visit where prices are still reasonable and the quality is fantastic. I hope your business model works out for you, but as for us, we will opt to go elsewhere now on.
