We love coming to this restaurant! The service is great and very friendly. Valerie, Maddie, Shaye, Derek and the crew are fantastic. They are very accommodating working with our food allergies. The food is fantastic. You have lots of healthy and flavorful options. I recommend the veggie sandwich, grain bowl, Zinc Club, burgers, pizzas, and breakfast food. Their coffee is very smooth. The lemon bars are some of the best we ever had. This restaurant is built into a historic building and has a lot of great character with excellent lighting and ambience .Needless to say we can't recommend this place enough!

Bland, stale, expensive, bad service. Don't go here. Literally any of the other brunch spots in the circle stand head and shoulders above Zinc.

Went to this location for brunch with a few friends. I'd never been to a Zinc before, but they are all really big fans of the other locations and were excited to meet up here. Saturday at around 11am had a wait time of about 15 minutes for a table. We were seated inside. I will say the building itself is lovely. I loved the look of the outdoor patio area, in particular. Inside was okay, but seating was a tad cramped. Our server was super sweet, but the service in general was a little on the slow side (maybe under staffed?). I ordered one of the egg dishes and honestly was pretty disappointed. The eggs were dry and under seasoned. The sliced bread that it came with was too stale to comfortably eat. The side of fruit it came with was fresh and tasty, but an incredibly small serving size. I ordered just a regular drip coffee and it was filled with coffee grinds, so much so that I could barely drink it. My friends were interested in some dessert after our meal, but they were out of almost every item on the menu. One of my friends also commented that this location was missing "the salad bar" type of station that is typically available at other Zinc locations, which was disappointing. I really wanted to like this place, and would be curious to try other Zinc locations. Probably won't be returning to this one, though.

Really beautiful little bistro and bar. Sophisticated and charming. They have outdoor space set apart from the street as well as a separate room for the bar and for general dining. We came during their happy hour from 3-6 pm and had the mango mule and veggies and hummus off that list, and added an order of thyme fries as well (not included in happy hour). The fries were crisp shoestrings, and came in a very large quantity. The hummus was fresh, but not very memorable. The mango mule was sweet and refreshing. The service was attentive and warm.

I've dined at this Zinc location about 5 times and have nothing but great things to say.SEATING: plenty. I've never had an issue being seated quickly and really enjoy sitting outside with my pup or friends. AMBIANCE: they converted the old Sunkist building so it has old school charm while being modern. Open & airy.FOOD: pretty good! They have a variety of options - something for everyone (below are my reccos). Grab and go items, a fresh salad bar and pastries. I also love their small but mighty happy hour menu.+ mushroom burger+ truffle fries + soups + chicken sandwich + cheese plate + pizza DRINKS: they offer a full coffee bar, misc drinks and cocktails.PRICES: fair & reasonable PARKING: it's the orange circle, drive around and you'll find some!Overall I always recommend this spot when friends are in town or folks are looking for a cute spot to dine at that's not fluffy, where you'll always find a spot to sit, that's casual but nice and has options for all. Enjoy. :)

I think it's one and done here. We went to the Laguna Beach location in October and really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and quick and the food was good. We had the chilaquiles. This visit at this location was a complete disaster. We came at opening. Everyone should be prepared and ready to go, right? We walked in and only dinner menus were available so they brought us breakfast menus after a few minutes. I ordered a passion fruit iced tea and Steven ordered the hibiscus iced tea. We waited, and waited and waited. Twenty minutes later we were informed that the hibiscus would be another twenty minutes so I told the server that we will both just do water instead. Five minutes later he set my passion fruit tea down anyway. After thirty minutes now we were told that they are understaffed and the egg poaching machine was not working and asked if I would like fried or scrambled eggs. I said fried. About five minutes later, after about thirty five minutes we received our food, and I had a poached egg. So, what was that about? Unfortunately my chilaquiles came with a brown avocado and very, very soggy chips. Usually, there are crunchy chips for a bit in the beginning. This was all mush. Steven liked his scrambled eggs and leeks dish but one of his pieces of toast looked like there was a bite taken out of it.I could barely eat my dish and just picked at it. I mostly ate the strips of lettuce. What a complete waste of money.During this time I observed the other three groups of people who came in and they all had their food and drinks fast. Naturally, we were never checked on, not once. Steven had to wave his card around to get their attention. They brought the bill after a few minutes and he told them to just take the card right away. After an hour I had a few bites of mush, Steven was luckily able to eat, and we left with a complete lack of customer service and nothing to make up for it.

Eh, not my favorite, if I was a local and I lived across the street I would come here before a larger busier spot, but the service wasn't the best and the other couple in the tiny bar was too loud...Drinks were fine.

Super great breakfast spot! The menu has a great variety of tasty sounding (and looking) entrees, but if you're also in the mood for just a pastry, their case is loaded with delicious looking pastries as well. Highly enjoyed the chilaquiles and the Middle Eastern breakfast plate. Chilaquiles were almost a TAD too spicy, but the flavor was excellent (even for someone who doesn't love green sauce). Middle Eastern plate was excellent. Also really enjoyed their house coffee!Great ambience with simple decorations and fantastic natural morning light. It feels like a warm and cozy cafe. Also good outdoor seating! Servers were kind and friendly. We didn't know if we were supposed to be refilling our own waters, but we did anyway since it was right there and they never refilled.Definitely want to go again and would highly recommend!

The food was definitely 5 stars!! I got the Zinc Grilled Chicken (grilled lemon chicken with orzo) and it was perfect! I would definitely be back for the food. I'm docking one star because the service was slow and they messed up the order for several other members of my party. But definitely a cute location and the food is amazing.

I think the location is so cute! We got seated inside and it's not as cute as outside but still nice. We ordered a mocha and a lavender latte. My mocha was ok and tasted mostly like milk. The lavender latte was horrible and didn't taste like lavender at all. I ordered the mushroom Dijon burger and it was so messy. The flavor was good but the patty was so thick. Because it was so thick, it was dry on the inside. The service was good and we had a good time there. Not sure I'll go back but it was a fun experience.
